How old are your saves?
You can always try the autosaves. I have heard from other games that they have a good chance of working.
Last save is from April, so not that old. It does this with the auto saves as well
The saves should work (at least, mine did), so I would try all the saves you have (auto, quick, and manual saves). I know new scenes where added to previous chapters, but it looks like the rollback error is coming from a different file. I am not too knowledgeable on how Renpy works, but maybe ionDivvy could help?
If you were using a mod, I would try an install with and without the mod. Sorry that I cannot be more help.
Due to the new content added into Act 1, saves from old versions of the game may present errors when trying to pinpoint their location in the script. From my personal experience, saves from 0.8 and earlier show the error pop-up, while saves from newer versions have been fine.
Apologies for the inconvenience. I'll look into more long-term save compatibility for future updates.

We're getting closer to the Chapter 14release!
While I had initially planned for the bus sequence to cover the travel to and from the nudist beach, after some consideration, I thought it would also be a good opportunity for some sexy fun, in the form of an extra scene. In the near future, I also have plans to add another bus scene where the protagonist and a stranger (male or female) can have some fun together, trying not to be spotted by the other passengers.
Haruka's date and the non-sex part of CJ's scenes are now complete, and their respective sex scenes are currently underway. Both of these (as well as Violet's sex scene) will take place in the protagonist's brand-new apartment, which should make things quite exciting! This also means she will be able to use her own toys in these encounters, and should she decide to try anal sex for the first time, lotion as well.
After these scenes are complete, I'll be moving on to the Luna university scenes, which will also have the option of taking a sexual turn.
Overall, the chapter is currently around50-60% complete. While I still can't provide a specific release day, you can expect to play the next version by mid-July. This is a very sex-heavy chapter, so I hope you will find it as exciting as I do!

Sara makes an appearance this chapter! Stressed from work, she calls the protagonist and makes plans to hang out soon. While the protagonist is a little bit busy this chapter (there is much sex to be had, after all), Chapter 15 will see their date in action, which will in turn develop their relationship and build towards potential sexual encounters.
Chapter 14 also sees the first lesbian threesome involving the protagonist, and/or the first threesome involving strangers. Compared to the early chapters, when she had only experienced a single kiss back in high school - she's become quite perverted! But there is still much further she can go, with the rest of Act 2 and the entirety of Act 3 still ahead...

Chapter 14 will be released early for Patrons on July 16th (Sat), and on July 20th (Wed) for all other players. Please note that for those living in the eastern hemisphere (Asia, Oceania, etc.), this may be one day later due to timezone differences.
During this four day gap in between the early and public releases, there might be a patch with bug fixes and/or extra animations.
This will be another fairly large release, with over 300 images, 5 full sex scenes, and numerous other sexy moments. Starting this chapter, anal sex, double penetration, lesbian threesomes and more will all be introduced for the protagonist.
I hope you enjoy playing Chapter 14 very soon!

Something must be up. I downloaded and installed as instructed but nothing has changed. The text box opacity is still the same and there are no options in the options menu to change it. Am I missing something here? I literally did exactly as the instructions in OP stated.
