I would like to ask the experts for some help here. I'll try to get to the point without wasting your time.
1. About AES
a. On CS.R*N forum it is claimed that protected files - like denuvo -could make AES extraction impossible.
b. Yet someone managed to get the AES for build V0.8.8 and extract the assets.
c. Could you tell how to get the AES of the latest build?
2. Modding
a. Using the assets of V0.8.8 it is possible to import them to 3DS Max.
b. After importing the changed asset it could be cooked in UE5.5 and get the .uexp .uasset files.
c. Repacking the .uexp .uasset files into .pak and placing them under the Contents/Paks of the game.
d. Here comes the issue:
This method was working fine for UE4. Yet UE5.5 simply ignores the modded .pak
So far I was not able to find out the root cause, maybe the .pak should be created using the AES key - which I would just like to get -.
Anyway, if had ideas to share would be truly appreciated, thanks.
