There are fan specualtions about her dad using his ma resources to experiment duplicating her genius.

the game starts very slow and boring. maybe it's a good game but this start doesn't help anything for people to be interested.
come on you have to make the start interesting especially when it's slow burn game. or maybe I'm just not in the mood for this today

This game starts good, the grown up way,
in a bar where young men and women go to meet and have fun.

Thanks for the suggestion, BBZ01, and I've thought about this before.

As you suggested, the initial exposition that sets up the story can be particularly frustrating to people who are looking for a straight up porn game, and you're right -- We don't spoon-feed the player about the structure of the game.

Until now, I've kind of appreciated the fact that it does tend to weed out the players looking for a quick fap and immediately begin demanding their kinks be catered to. Thus, I've made no effort to add training wheels.

Seeing that it's also challenged current fans of the game has altered my perspective, however. As such, I will make a note explaining what to expect before the primer for new players.

The way we look is nurture, the way we act and interact with the environment is dictated by our genes.
She does not need to look the same, she has not the same mother, has not the same father,
her coktail is just the recipe the MC mother had inside her. How it all ended up,

Your posting made me curious and i used an internet search engine to find out something about it. The only thing i found that came close to the topic was twins. I am deliberately avoiding the term "clone" as this is not applicable here, at least not in my understanding. In the end, i came across the same statement everywhere:

People who share this much DNA look the same.

I'm happy to be proven wrong, but everything points to the fact that this is how it works.

If you take a look at identical twins, they share the same DNA and look almost similar. But if you look close enough you will notice some minute differences and therefore people close to twins can generally differentiate between them. These differences are due to differences in growing up.
But even if she is not an exact clone, if you share a lot of DNA, you will look similar, Example - Parents and their children, siblings.
So Mallory and MC's mom should at least look similar.

AFAIK, cloning is a genetic manipulation of a already fertilized egg, that it's mitochondrial DNA removed and replaced by the "cloned" DNA. Although sharing 99.7% of the analyzed DNA (it is exceedingly rare to analyze ALL the DNA) it may give the impression of body doubling, but it's not in fact the case.

The predisposition to (DNA based) is quite less strong than learned behavior (Experience based), unless you're talking of morphology.

I am quite interested in how the authors will deal with the Mallory conundrum. Being a work of fiction, all avenues are open, even a "Test Error".

In "moral" terms, there's really nothing interfering on a relationship with the MC, but, "genetically" that's a whole can of worms, as the MC shares a significant portion of DNA with Mallory (close to 50%) that can cause severe reinforcement of bad genes on their offspring, the operative word is "CAN" it's not a absolute certainty it will, and the most severe cases can be detected quite early, or, even cause abrupt termination. There are many cases of "incestuous" babies with this much shared DNA with no problems, although it is NOT a desirable outcome (genetically speaking ONLY) because the reinforced traits will be spread to further generations (BTW that's how animal breeding works, also plants genetic manipulation).

So, go read some genetic science, some medical, or, leave it up to the authors to deal (somehow) with this interesting proposition.

I just hope I don't have to choose between Jaye and Mallory anytime soon... or ever. I know... I know... ::deep sigh::

I am not sure how much real world cloning applies to the game. Since its science fiction, anything goes. Just pointing out that the difference in the appearance of twins due to differing environments is minute.
Though there can be significant differences in personality as that is less affected by Genetics compared to appearance.
So in short it makes sense that Mallory has a different personality than MC's mom but having such a different appearance not so much.

not because they got identical DNA popped into different mommies.

Just as easily as being injcted with aids in a bar/club/bus/subtrain ...
anyone could inject anyone else with transfer RNA to aggresively attack the DNA
and change it. For scientists with no moral background, anything goes.

That kind of studies were the stuff her dad and MC mom were experimenting on.

That is why they have this convoluted mess with the big company:
miracle drugs/treatments for fertility have been the go to for many women for many years.

Umm... I get the feeling that if you join Jaye in the shower after the bed fort and have sex with her that's a full on commitment which won't go down well if it's subsequently broken... There are already trust issues between the MC & Jaye from when he ran with the MC mending during the game. If it stays platonic all well to go ahead with Mallory but if not... Beware a woman scorned! Looks like 2 versions of the game so at least 2 playthroughs .

That's a valid view & I know quite a few folk who share it, however, from a personal view she's likely to be truly bi, probably as a result of a very traumatic childhood (mine was pretty shitty but nowhere near as bad). I don't think she's hearing voices as such, just her subconscious kicking in; I think most folk have deep introspective moments especially when encountering major events in their lives. So hopefully not twisted, just broken and in (if real life) need of love, care and support and above all honesty... Except that is how it works, it's plain genetics. Identical Twins share 99.9% DNA, Mallory falls just short of that which means her appearance would be very, very similar.
