i wasnt really a fan of this scene either i agree i feel like it came out of no where and if you turn the threesome down the game makes you feel like its a wrong choiceI take it you didn't dislike the Mallory + Amanda scene?...I am 'angry' that I seem to be the only one that dislikes how it was setup and written, which is a first for Stone Fox and I played since 0.1. But then again, there aren't that many Mallory main players.
For me Mallory's feelings come out of nowhere, I did not pick up on any signs that she loves Amanda more than a Sister/friend before this very scene. Amanda is lusting over the MC for 2 chapters, but we don't know about romantic feelings, hell we are told that she was lusting after Mallory over the years, but nothing about romantic interests there again...and now comes the cherry on top, there are zero hints that MC likes Amanda sexually, let alone, romantically until he is with his pants around his ankles.
A throuple requires all participants having romantic feelings for each other, doesn't have to be in equal amounts, but they have to exist and to me this setup they went with fails at every level.
On to the Mallory confession and dialog,if you don't go along, to me that entire scene paints the MC and me the player as the selfish asshole to both girls and the Monogamous relationship, 'If I am enough for you, you are enough for me',imo, it reads like settling instead of the dream scenario, that you would want your players to feel about their endgame relationship, this close to the end of the game.You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. I would have been perfectly fine with a threesome, as you remember making fun of you about the inevitability of it happening, but this throuple setup is extremely rushed imo, the seeds should have been planted at the very least 2 updates ago.

Well, it didn't seem to come out of nowhere to me, we already had the scene where Amanda visits MC during the night. Amanda hiding behind the bed setting MC up for penetration of Mallory was pretty close to becoming a threesome right then...
Perhaps you'd expect some more romantic evolvement from Amanda, but considering her background i think that's expecting too much and in some way i even guess her personality and quirks ad to her charm.

I do not believe you are correct here. George is the executor of their will. His only legal obligation here is to carry out their wishes as defined in the will, and it was very clear that he can disqualify either of the kids at his own discretion. He isn't required to go looking for anything.
when say came out of no where i more meant the atraction between amanda and mallory unless i was oblivious i hadnt seen anything from either side but my biggest problem was how the game handled you turning it down

Mallory considers you an assignment. Really??? The MC was the reason she learned everything she wanted to learn about himself, he was the reason her "special" friend become less special. And now he literally took a knife for her. But fuck that he chose Jaye and didn't fck Mal so he is an assignment not even a friend or an ally, once this case is finished we shall never talk again I guess?

I believe George is the executor of their estate, as seen in the last Episode when the MC and Jaye listened in on George and Lisa and George says something along the lines of "Their will wasn't finished so normally I would just split the assets and be done with it, but I am hoping they also reconcile, which falls entirely under my prerogative." So it's all a guessing game, and honestly I doubt we will ever get an answer since it's so far outside of the scope of the plot.

I have no issue with a threesome, just the newfound love between Mallory and Amanda and setup for a throuple ending. Hell I even expected a throuple ending, but more so in the epilogue sort of way, where you benefit from timeskips, because right now it comes out of left field and goes from 2 to 11 in the span of one update.

- Yes, the MC's interest in Amanda comes out of nowhere, but that's just how this game rolls. Why did Jaye plan a big, romantic dinner with the MC after he literally slammed the door on a romance with her? Why does the MC insist on seeing Tanaka's conversation starter even if we only want to be friends with her? Because porn game.
- Mallory's interest in Amanda felt natural enough to me. Sure, we never see or hear about it directly, but Amanda is clearly a major part of Mal's life. And there are more overt hints, too - like how Amanda says it was Mallory who suggested Amanda send the MC naughty pics in Chapter 6. Given her crash course in sexuality, it's not surprising Mallory would want to try something with Amanda, and a threesome is the logical step if she's already dating the MC.
- There are actually two variations of the threesome, one where the MC can ask to stick with Mallory alone (leading to the Monogamy achievement), and one where the MC can only turn it down by rejecting Mallory outright. AFAICT, you only get the all-or-nothing variation if you a) declined to sleep with Mallory in Chapter 5, b) slept with Jaye in Chapter 6 and asked to keep things open. If the MC doesn't sleep with either of the LIs, then there's no threesome at all. Assuming that's working as intended, I'm fine with it. I don't object to forcing Amanda on an MC who really is asking for an open relationship with Mallory; turnabout is fair play, after all. But if that's a bug and the threesome is meant to happen regardless of whether we're dating Jaye, then I'd be unhappy with forcing Amanda on an MC who isn't sleeping around.
- From what I can tell, the threesome with Amanda seems to be a one time thing unless the MC first asks to call it off on the monogamy route. If you only agree to the threesome on the second offer then Mallory seems to be comfortable expressing her love for both the MC and Amanda, implying a throuple ending could be in the works. Again, in broad strokes I think that makes sense, though you are right it feels rushed.
- On 'guilting' the players into accepting Amanda, again, I don't really mind it assuming the scenarios I described above are correct. Sure, it feels bad stepping on Mallory's last minute hopes and dreams, but reconciling differences is a big part of relationships. If you want to avoid the issue, don't rush headlong into sex with Mallory. Would I prefer it if the MC could discuss his blatant non-interest in Amanda ahead of time and cut this whole mess off at the pass? Absolutely. But the game is very clear that forethought of that magnitude is simply beyond the pale. At this point we either roll with it or find another game. (Of course, this all hinges on the threesome being contingent on sleeping with either Mallory or Jaye.)
