That being said, I'm still looking for a very good/great story to enjoy and for the MC/LI relationships to have depth and meaning to them helping me to better prioritize several of the women over the others, based on this journey.
I know what a firebreak is, in terms of forestry, but this title feels like allegory.
So - Firebreak is allegory for what?
This will be part of the 'hook' that makes me want to unravel the mystery/pursue justice for example.
We'll have to wait for the devs to comment/tease about this over the next few months as part of the buildup to the initial Firebreak release.

How might this be used metaphorically? To stop the spread of a disease, as in a Covid outbreak or a zombie apocalypse. To stop the spread of a rumor. Any kind of mental or physical barrier that might stop a real or perceived threat - lots of possibilities in that one. How about: the MC has withdrawn from female contact because of a bad experience. Or is that too close to what we have in this game?
Might we be fighting fire with fire?
I guess we'll have to wait and see.
One other thing park rangers and foresters do is controlled burns - one of the ways to create those firebreaks.
The intent is to create firebreaks that are wide enough that a wind driven forest fire hits a break and it is too wide for it to jump to a new fuel source (or the firebreak is wide enough to buy the time to assemble the resources to isolate the fire).
So - the metaphor for something else is there, but we need more hints from the devs to narrow down What Firebreak is actually referring to.

Idk what i did wrong. Picked Mallory "love" choice every time, but after the MC plowed Mallory, she switched to "Mallory looks at MC as a friend". Great game, but I wish the choices were a bit more transparent. It is a long story, and it was disappointing that the MC ended up with one of the LIs I didn't like, despite my best efforts...

It's not updated ,and not the official Steam build either. Mods won't work with it either since it's also a different build compared to Patreon. Steam build is only 7.5GB, same size as Patreon.
Ok, thanks for answering, but I asked the question because when downloading the Steam version it says it weighs 14 GB

It's not, I own it on Steam and it is only 7GB, exactly same size as Patreon version, I don't have any idea what that is in the OP, it must have both PC and Mac both for some reason.

It's removed now.
It has both PC/Mac distributions included, as with Steam it won't download Mac files if you are not on Mac.
The version was outdated anyway as it was v1.0 and we are on v1.01, plus the Steam and Patreon versions are the same content, but the builds (way they are made in Ren'Py not content) are different and Sancho had to make 2 mods for the game.
