Steam never stopped. Itch just removed them from their catalog pending evaluation of each title...didnt steam and itch just stop selling adult content yesterday or something
Usually quitting the Steam client and launching it again is enough to trigger an update. The Steam version is already updated. There's just no news regarding it at the store page. Try forcing an update.
You mean the game is back to giving contradictory information? Yay.That Day1 bug is now fixed.
Trust me, I'm perfectly justified in feeling unimpressed with this game on its own merits. I'm merely speculating why the last few updates have been uninteresting and poorly written compared to the earlier ones - even those I didn't particularly like. That's got to be the most idiotic comment I've heard of all the negative ones you've made about CS.
Ever heard of one-night stands or "friends with benefits"?
And assuming the devs are "bored" and want to skip ahead to Firebreak is not fact, just you trying to find justification for your vendetta against the game.
From poking around with URM I'm pretty sure that's not true as of v1.10 if you are on the voluntarily single path (num050==1) . The game checks if num050 is set to 1, then diverts you to Jaye's appearance if num050=1 and Mallory's if num050=9 (which I believe would have been Lisa's abortive path). So even if the code weren't bugged for Lisa's path, I'd still always meet with Jaye because I was Single. She actually does...if you have more love points for her than you do for Jaye. Maybe Jaye's been your secret LI all along...
I'm sorry you're feeling so defensive about the update (though I certainly can't blame you). But that doesn't actually dispute any of my points.Oh, so that means we won't have any of your rants anymore? Thank God...
"where characters will be returning in Firebreak" . Firebreak better be really good because my interest right now for games set in this same universe is 0. There is no single character that i want to see returning after this last updateCrazy all the people shit talking others who were disappointed with the epilogue when even the devs acknowledge that they didn't put everything they wanted so they could just get the damn thing out.

Not even Amanda and her sex bot? There is no single character that i want to see returning after this last update
you just convinced me not to continue my save files. thanks for writing this and saving my time!Well, I've played Chapter 10. No sugar coating it, that may be the worst AVN ending I have ever seen. Admittedly, I was stuck with the solo ending because there was no plan to account for someone on Mallory's path not having sex with her after Amanda's stunt; I had to pick an ending after the code couldn't make sense of my variables. The game clearly had no interest in fleshing out the "wrong" paths, so the process was uninteresting and choppy. But that's still no excuse for making the solo path an advertisement for the *real* endings with Jaye, to say nothing of the wretched excuse for a resolution to the legal case. This was BAD, much worse than it had any right to be after all the time spent tinkering with it.

Log in or register now.I was planning to try the Jaye and Mallory paths afterwards just to see what difference it made when the developers were trying, but given my virulent reaction to the story I think I'm going to call it here. This game had enormous potential, but only the artwork ever realized it. The gameplay was incredibly poorly coded, the story was clearly regarded as gibberish despite the time spent on it in the early game, and the characters turn out not to have much dramatic range. You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. tl;dr A complete waste of time and potential, at least if you don't accept Jaye as the MC's one true pair. These devs should be capable of so much more.
Yes, if you already have 1.10, you just need the hotfix. It just replaces the script fileHello guys. I downloaded v1.10 and didn't play it yet. Is Hotfix (v1.10a) the file to fix the last update or should I dowload the hole v1.10a ?
the hotfix dropped tonight is just a script file replacement, but will another tweak to the mod be needed, since you don't overwrite the original files?View attachment 1416588

That's the really annoying part of all this. The question is why, having spent the time coding these relationships, the game insists they're all doomed and the MC will never be satisfied with anyone but Jaye or Mal.
Wait, 10 love interests... Shit, this one only had 2 and the MC was a spinless wimp bent over backwards to please them. I can't imagine the Simp Lord the new one will be.That's the really annoying part of all this.
It would've been one thing if they just flat out didn't have the time to make an ending for Bianca, but they did make one. It was just one where your character chooses to dump her, instead of one where he chooses to be with her. I wasn't expecting an elaborate epilogue with her, just a few renders in a little slideshow-styled ending like you would see at the end of a Fallout game or something. You know?
There were plenty of other bits that could've been cut if they were really hurting for time. We got ten different variations of the MC sitting on a park bench, and twenty-nine renders for a medieval fantasy dream sequence with Amanda. It made sense for Lisa to be a dead end, since they wanted her in their next game, but Lisa still gets a full 180 render scene of her and the MC, while Bianca gets a whole heaping of doodly-squat. Where's the logic there? Shouldn't it be the other way around? Why put the extra effort into the side chick who cannot possibly have a happy ending with the MC instead of the one who could?
The developers could've given us a happy ending with Bianca, but they simply didn't want to.
I think it's more than fair to criticize them for it, especially since their next game has ten love interests. If the developers can't figure out how to throw a bone to Bianca's fans, how can we possibly expect their next game to be anything other than a complete shit-show by the end?
