The authors had to reiterate several times that there would be no more scenes with Tara, and it was not a given. So it is likely that fame prompted the promotion of her in the new game.

Tara's presence is intended to tell us that she was the one who helped Jaye vent his sexual urges towards MC during their high school years. As Tara herself tells MC, she helped Jaye with her “problem,” and she tries to do the same thing with him to convince him not to leave.
And that's why Tara is more present at first and then pratically disappears, unfortunately.
Reread the scenes with Tara and the context behind them. She's a supporting character who has her own life beyond catering to your plot desires. The amount of Tara we got was perfect for what she was meant to do.

It is such a weird choice though IMO. I can get being excited about a character you have planned for a sequel game. But choosing to jump the gun and introduce her early, due to "player demand". Then having her be sleeping with the LI, and then have her sleep with the MC from that game also on top of that. Just to then disappear back into the sequel, ready to be a major LI there. Is a bit of a random choice IMO.
Like, if BaDIK announced a sequel after Season 4 is done, and had Mona, Cathy and Heather announced as Main Girls...

I suspect that the order is the other way around. They probably had not made plans about who to involve in a potential sequel before including Tara in CS, if they even had made plans about a sequel at all.It is such a weird choice though IMO. It's much more likely that they saw how strongly people responded to her in CS even though she was only intended to be a supporting character. They likely decided there wasn't narrative room to include her more there since Jaye and Mal were always intended to be the only main LIs, and decided to see if it made sense to potentially give her an expanded role later in a sequel because of her popularity. Same with Lisa and Bianca. This goes double if the devs themselves came to love these characters and want to give them space to shine in their own light.

It does sound like she wasn't even originally intended for a sequel though, just a character they made for some fun renders. So the decision to make her a main LI in Firebreak likely still came later on based on her popularity.

Well, that was easy to guess.
The same goes for Lisa and Bianca (but will she be a LI in Firebreak or not? I still haven't figured it out).

I don't think they haven't specifically said what role Bianca will play, just that she'll be in Firebreak and given how much she wants a kid, they can't imagine denying her one again. So it's probably safe to conclude not a minor role.

For some additional context, that line about "not denying her again" was in response to a tongue-in-cheek Discord comment from someone about making her a LI for players that don't enjoy pregnancy. So it's not necessarily confirmation she'll have the option, just that they wouldn't give her the potential and then deny her again.
Though in response to someone commenting they wished CS MC gave her a kid they replied that "if Bianca had a baby with MC in Ch10, it would make sexing her up in Firebreak awkward". So sounds like at least that much will likely be a possibility.

Can someone help me understand this please? I am playing the game using the walkthrough and I am on CH9 of the game right now. Idk if I misunderstood something but, in the Jaye and Mal walkthrough or the other one it doesn't tell me which choice to choose when the MC is talking to Mal outside the house. Where it asks who to choose. I want it to where I have both of them but IDK which answer to pick to get it

You shouldn't have got those options if you're going for the poly with J/M (they are for if you are in an open relationship with both iirc).
You shouldn't be in an open relationship with Mallory (I saw someone say you could, but I'm not aware of steps).
You need to be on romance path with Jaye.
After your first sex with Mallory, you should have chosen "just to help her".
The walkthrough is not actually helpful with trying to get the poly path. The things you need to do are:
1. After first sex with Mallory, tell her it's just to help her.
2. Do romance path with Jaye
3. When Jaye is upset choose "what's wrong" and then "phone a friend".
4. When you leave Cabin with Mallory tell her "I wish things were different."
5. When you have sex with Jaye at George's house you need at least 95 love points with Jaye & at least 80 with Mallory.
6. If you've met all that, Jaye will offer you the choice of Mallory only joining a Poly relationship (not a throuple).
