I mostly agree with all your points.

Though in context, their "acting like a divorced couple" was out of simple lack of communication or miscommunication and misunderstanding.
Remember he tried contacting her by phone for years and thought she just didn't want to talk him. She thought he never tried contacting her and thought that was his own choice
Both were wrong - and was due to a lemony snicket unfortunate event that she blocked his number those many years ago being younger and rash and never realized she had to unblock him - even after trading/upgrading her phone(s).

Then there's the reason he no longer walked to school with her - she didn't know what he heard, and he didn't know she beat up Jenna for saying that shit about her and her step-bro.

There was not a lack of empathy compassion or caring for one another. That is made very evident early on. I think an honest approach as MC would be to trust her based on who they both are on the inside. From a "gamist" perspective, it might be fun/interesting to ride that story and see where it takes you - but from a practical side, I believe my initial point and question stands relevant that there's no real in-story reason why he would be so adversarial from jumpstreet about the Will and Estate, etc.

The above discussions are great, and so I'll throw my two cents in.

Its hinted at within the story that Jaye is the true love interest for the MC just by the things they've done as kids and teenagers. MC has always loved Jaye (and his parents) to the point he left because he felt it was the best option for Jaye to grow as her own person. However its clear that both MC and Jaye were hurt by this decision that was a result of miscommunication from day one. Jaye says it best during chapter 4, its not up to the MC to make decisions for her and he needs to accept that if a relationship is going to work between them.

Mallory also works as a love interest for similar reasons. During their time in Aspen the MC sees a side of her thats broken, leading him to feel as if he needs to protect her like he does with Jaye. However Mallory is a more tragic character due to her birth being an enigma and her father being a shitty person. She's even haunted by his insults as she still hears him up until she starts getting closer to the MC (mentioned in chapter 3 when she messages her best friend). In a way the MC unknowingly helps to fix the broken parts of her just by being supportive of her whenever possible.

Both characters can fill the role of the main love interest for the MC, but choosing Jaye feels tragic for Mallory. Chapter 4 addresses her thoughts towards the relationship between the MC and Jaye in which she knows how much he loves her. She accepts that he'll ultimately choose Jaye but hopes to be able to experience intimacy before that choice is made.



The story crafting by Kentyrr and Stoya has been fantastic and continues to improve. From the previews of chapter 5 it's apparent some difficult times are ahead of us. It'll be interesting if it'll be the "crossroads" chapter that'll cut off all other relationships moving forward.

Jaye said "that was 4 phones ago. And I would never block MC"

But that was the end of that - so maybe he admits this later, and I missed it.

Another weird timeloop issue - J asks you "did you have sex with Tara", but at that point there was no evidence to the viewer that he had, but he only had "Lie - say no" or Tell truth say yes"

It wasn't till AFTER that exchange that you see what happened between them and Tara tells MC "not to lie to J about it"

Probably did it so if they did a phone test like they did in the story where he was standing there with Tara & Jaye and they had him call both their phones and Jaye's didn't ring but Tara's did, he wouldn't be outed right off the bat.

Admittedly it's been a about 4 months since i played it, so it's quite possible i am not remembering correctly, but i'm pretty sure that he did mention he blocked his number in her phone, and admitted it to her when he came back home

In Chapter 3 Tara indirectly accuses the MC of setting the block himself and he doesn't dispute it. Then in Chapter 4 the MC will confess to Jaye that he did indeed set up the block (assuming he honors the bed fort treaty).

What isn't explained is when the MC set up the block or why he would accuse Jaye of ignoring his calls when he knows she wouldn't have received them. The only time we know the MC had access to her phone was right before the graduation party fiasco, and it seems unlikely he'd block her number then. But he left that night, so unless he somehow got her phone again before he left or blocked himself remotely, it must have been then.

Likewise we're not told why he blames Jaye for ignoring his calls. The only plausible explanation I can come up with is that he just forgot about the block until Tara found it. That would mostly make sense (it's been 7 years at that point), but you'd think he'd just say so during his confession rather than offer the lame excuse that he couldn't think of a way around the block after their parents died.

Overall, the block feels more like a retcon than a foreshadowed plot point, but it's a relatively minor issue so I'm not going to fret about it.

As for Lauren makes sense, too - cuz I always thought she looked a little like Gollum.


In this game I'm far more attracted to Mal than Jaye. Jaye has a more smoking body I think but I love Mal's personality, nicer boobs, but also Jayes eyebrows bug me (too dark) and mostly cuz I think she looks like Miley Cyrus. The scene(s) when her hair in wrapped in a towel and all you see is her face - the resemblance is much more pronounced.

In Chpt 4 which I am playing now, MC says to J: "You've become a Miley Cyrus Father's Day Card".

wow. I've mentioned how I've seen images in game that resemble Miley Cyrus and is a bit offputting (to me) as are her Matt Dillon eye brows.

And I will admit I don't see that here - and in fact this is truly a goddess level gorgeous image of her. And the eyebrows while still too dark are nicer, neater and thinner here. Divinity! DAMN. Her piercing green eyes and sunkissed skin is intoxicating completely!
