It's strange to me how fairly regular porn parodies with furry elements get a couple updates every now and then but both bare bones visual novels and ridiculous NTR graphic violence games get constant updates and backing. I've seen so many promising games like this and they get updated after months to years. No offense Vanny, take as long as you need to, I'm pointing out a strange phenomenon.
In my case i'm just tired of all the AI slop that keeps coming out.... like it's rly bad...

I do feel like it's not really specific to furry or "violent NTR" games, but rather how devs handle game development in general.

I have seen a lot of great games with potential making promises after promises that are either beyond their own abilities or out of plausible scope for a regular human being, eventually burning out like a star after losing the trust of their fans.
Or on the other hand, there are devs who cut corners and utilize content creep to justify their lack of progress as an attempt to rake in more Patreon moolah. Add little to no content, numerous "bug fixes" that do nothing or even makes the game worse, or even design the gameplay loop so unbearably flawed so they could sell cheat codes and gallery unluck to their Patrons.
cough cough Dr. Bones, cough cough Scary Pumpkin

To be honest, I'm really impressed with Vanny for holding up despite breaking promises after promises and still not backing down, it's weirdly impressive in a way.

I suppose it's because those games have wider appeal.

There's simply a lot more working pieces at play here to consider per piece of content that gets added. I'm not simply displaying an image, its mechanics and sound design need to fit into what's being shown and animated. It's a lot more work than I anticipated since the first draft was very simple at first. I am cutting down on stuff that would take a lot longer to animate especially now that I have been using this new model that isn't 4 chica's in a trenchcoat (another way of saying kitbash). I'm just going to keep working on the game regardless until it's finished.

Btw I'm still going to release it on time lol.

Ig that is the thing with most games like this. Most of the games I dislike and were ragging on are like full companies that shove out those games on a mass basis, games like these are usually made by only a couple people (usually only one person) and the scope of the game is much larger than they expected. That's very insightful, and I'm loving the confidence on getting the work out. I will be grinding the ever loving shit out of Nightreign which is why I'd personally be fine with delays, but it seems you have it all under control.

Don't get me wrong, I wasn't trying to rag on you or anything. But rather your estimation and deadlines usually backfire more time than not as the contrast of your plan and the actual work process is way outta your initial scope for both the project and the update that you're working on, forcing you to delay whatever promise that you've made previously more than a couples of times by now.

It would've been better if you don't mention a specific date at this point lmaooo /lh

Seeing how recently, it would be very appropriate and not at all appropriate vibe-wise at the same time.:KEK:
