He's stated he intends to fully move off of Chloe games. Like she might appear in future games, but she won't be play a major/MC role. He owes it to the character to give her something close to a proper send off. What that ending is? Idk. That's the problem w/ making your MC repeat the same cycle every single game. Abandoning a game midway isn't the best way to send off the character that made you.

That's really a shit argument and I'd have to completely disagree. Remove the grind of the sandbox elements and you've got about as much content as the average unfinished VN. It doesn't even have more content than most sandbox games, it's just arguably better content. Compared to his earlier work? Sure. Most of those games were made in the style of old, short Flash based games.
Dating Amy would be too short even as an initial release for a VN. It plays like a VN and it looks straight out of the mid 2010s, when he started. Imagine taking 18 months for something that other devs do in 6 or less and demanding a premium. This is a dude who literally sells 4x vote power as a Patreon tier and wants to say his polls show him what his fans want. He's the prime example of a dev milking his audience while stringing them along with as little content as possible. Now? He's abandoned even his Patreon page. His website? Dead. Ya, it's not the first time he's gone MIA for 6 months in the last couple years, but that's now an undeniable pattern.

I think it's a bug, and those options get locked out after some choices. I couldn't get to it either. I restarted and it was there easily.

Fake Family isn't abandoned, as the creator just posted on his patreon that he is returning to work on it very soon. Patrons voted, and they were heard; rather than start Fake Family 2, they wanted an expansion of 1, and he obliged.

haha, no. It's not that kind of post. It talks about how he upgraded his game mechanics. Revamped how scenes play, with controls. Girls are more interactive, overall. And Stuff.

as long there will be NO 35cm fat gigantic dick like in Dating Amy which ruined scenes with Amy(japan girl)(in FF its normal) im ok with waiting ~0.5y or more, coz its 4y+ already anyway.(its 3y actually, last update was at 2022 1 feb.(for male mc) but all 2021 was about making female-protag side of the FF and back then 1y of update's span was not a thing like now. (in 2020 it was like 3 updates for FF in 1 year) (btw FF was top 1 game on F95 for 2020-2022, top 3 later)
likewise i will give it another 1y besides 0.5 if it will be the GDS who will write the plot and dialogues (he wrote last part of DA, which was way better, and hotter) (last part of FF and first 2 parts of DA was written by Bella, where there were 5+ girls' masturbating scenes which you are watching on smartphone near them, and peeking when some of mc's LI getting fucked(im not telling about side classmates)
