Apparently, it was voted by the patreons.

If I understood correctly, they voted for a remake of the first one, over finishing fake family or something along those lines...
But, Fake family should also get finished eventually, or something.

Yeah same here.
I don't know why people did not like Travis. I mean, it was nice to see a different perspective in the Chloe universe.
I think they just got annoyed at the lack of Chloe content, which I can get behind. But, it would have easily been fixed if Chloe became the main center of the game again... Hopefully we'll see it finished in time, I hope.

Yeah it's the same game, there is another version of this one that is already completed. The game is about a girl who just turned 18 and she wants to join the cheerleader team, but they are not going to accept her at least she change. There are some other games about Chloe and they're quite exiting

Acording to the developer page the point to make a remake of the already completed Chloe18 is to add animations, quests and (if i have understood well) multiples endings.

So far, I've seen most of the screenshots during the intro bit.
I don't know if they're reused assets or not though. I mean, they could well be.
