VN Ren'Py Onhold Circumstances [Ch. 4] [MrHoneyCraft]

Got back in the saddle again after seeing the sudden and saddening news of a possible cancellation.

As I once again am running through the first and am midway through the 2nd ch I've noticed those small things that make this VN stand out compared to most other.

Little things that happen "out of focus", bystanders actions:
Ladies walking past the MC, guys in the background turning heads to watch ladies butts, etc.

MC initial treatment of his to be agent! Nice!

MC's a "normal" guy that just happend to be caught in bad circumstances but seems, so far, to handle it the right way.

Unfortunately the DEV he was unlucky and ended up earning very little, What I've been observing is that people only want to support copies of other big games like ***** * DIK, There was a game that came out this year and it's already earning 400/500 dollars

the early part of this game was really good

I played one ending out of the three. I realized after that the subject matter may be heavy so i was waiting for more chapters to be released before playing more. it's pretty sad knowing it's abandoned. This is one of potentially good ones. best of luck to the dev.

One of the reasons why I am very hesitant to give patreon support is because a lot of developers leave midway through the project for various reasons. I don't mean this as a jab towards the developer who really did an awesome job with this game and I totally understand that this is an incredible amount of work every single day. But to me it just reinforces my scepticism. I seriously considered supporting this from chapter 1 (in fact I did for a short while) and it would have broken my heart to see the cancellation now, both in terms of wasted money and being left without a conclusion. Patreon support is a big risk for everyone involved, but it is a risk for us players too. So maybe don't consider it a "lack of interest" just because we hesitate. This is exactly why we hesitate.

Sucks you are done with the game. I just finished playing and really wish to know the rest of the story. I love that the characters felt realistic. Some VN's have people just acting ridiculous but in this one each character felt real. If you ever continue I am definitely interested in seeing where it goes from here.

I'm the exact same boat on this one, I know it seems wierd, but I only give money for a project after it's complete or near enough complete.

My personal favorite, devs that already finished VN.
3 basic examples:
The Author - Unbroken
Once in a lifetime - Eternum
And obviously one from your signature, but I'm not supporting that one, getting enough money as is, others get mine

I fucking love devs that go through their projects instead of rework into rework into rework.

At the same time, I'm extremely wary of new devs, unless they're very active with actual updates and progress reports. Easier to trust dev that gives frequent progress updates than a dev that posts new special render every 2 weeks with absolutely no update on how new chapter is coming along.

So much stuff gets dropped after 2-3 updates these days. People thinking making VN is easy and instant way to money? Who knows...

This was generally an enjoyable game some of the female models needed some work like mei and carrie, they just looked off in the facial proportions department but everything else was fine. Its a shame its been shelved I hope it makes a return one day.

This will be my first F95zone comment. Let me say that I agree with almost all of the remarks posted above about what a high-quality and unique game 'Circumstances' is. I would like to subscribe to this game, but it appears there's currently no way to offer some modest financial support to MrHoneyCraft. Few of the authors who've created the visual novels that are advertised at the F95zone have MrHoneyCraft's ability to craft a compelling narrative or create eye-catching images that blend near flawlessly with the written word. Best wishes to you, sir, in your future creative endeavors.

Chapter little bugged, the last modded choises is not work properly, the taxi episode my last choise both Sophie and Carrie, Sophie part is work, but Carries part don't, the erotic scene started but can't be finish always drop to desktop... i don't know is the finish the game or not...

That's also my first message in this forum and I must say I'm very disappointed also. The story is very gripping, you always want to know more, it's mature, serious, very well written and all the characters are endearing, it's a shame to see such an abrupt end...I hope the creator of this game will change his mind.
