well finally finished my 1st playthrough I got 1 more save. For me Minami is by far the best LI by alot and May is the only LI / character I do not like.
Only thing I didn't like was the lip movement animations , when choosing your dates on the weekend and if you pick May it seemed to move into a forced scene( I think I reloaded when the MC started to kiss her) I picked that option to be friendly since the MC promised to spend time with her. Not my favorite HS game out there but I do like it alot especially cause the action animations are great
Also this Avn has alot of head pats I think with 3 LI so far which is a win for me. Now need to corrupt this dev in the ways of nose boops

The cinematography in this game is impressive. Seeing how not many games do HS cinematics, I can imagine a lot of work goes into making them.
I'm impressed by the writing as well; there's nuance to it. Though this nuance doesn't hold up. For instance, I didn't stay with Lilian at the hotel because she was drunk. If I could've stayed without sex, I would have. The MC motivates this reasoning correctly, that he didn't want to take advantage of her while drunk, but he also indicates he wouldn't necessarily be interested in something romantic with her. In chapter 3, when going out with Lillian again, she won't invite the MC in because there's no way to have enough points unless you fucked her at the hotel. I think this is a shame for players who don't want to take advantage of her but are interested in her romantically. There's no way for them to tell Lillian that they do want her but left because the circumstances at the hotel felt wrong. In this regard, this game is very much a puzzle to find a route to all the lewds and less of a choice-driven game.

Likes:
- I love the large and small animations. This game is setting a high bar for others to follow.
- "Acolyte" means assistant or follower, and "redemption", at its root, means "buying back". Great choice of words that immediately lets the audience understand what's going on through association. We all have a sense of what these words imply through religious context in real life or other media.
- May's long hair... Just beautiful.
- The writer covers his bases. Characters can say what motivated them. The same goes for the debt of 60k; it's a large amount but not insurmountable, and the writer immediately covered the angle of "sell the apartment". In turn, the way characters reason and act is characterization, making them more than just a potential lewd scene.
- In SirenEyes, are those names of Patreon supporters? Love the in-game and in-universe dedication.
- We've seen the MC's eyes change as well. This is a great way to signal something to the audience that the MC is entirely unaware of. It's not the MC who's keeping the secret from the player to create some kind of fake mystery. The mystery is created by us witnessing something the MC didn't.
I do think it's a shame that this mystery didn't get a chance to breathe. Minami just tells him what's up, and the MC just assumes the role. - The MC asking about the effects of the drug, letting us know it's a relatively safe version of MDMA/XTC. This lets us make an informed decision. Some players might think it's immoral to have sex with someone who is drunk or drugged; this conversation adds nuance for them to make their own decision. It's hinted at that his sperm has a similar effect, seeing the events at Alexxis.
- The MC's time of 11.4 seconds for the 100m sprint would make him competitive on the regional level. This is perfect for showing he has physical ability without immediately making him the bestest ever. He's gifted, but raw.
- I love how most of my questions are immediately answered. Izumi said her phone was stolen, but we know she had clothes delivered. The MC asks this same question, and Izumi shows she has a smartwatch. It's only a shame we didn't see her wearing it in the previous renders. It also indicates her phone is close by; otherwise, it would've lost connection, but this is glossed over.
- Side images change as characters change their look. So many AVNs keep the same side images despite updated wardrobes, injuries, or haircuts.
- The classmate getting eaten was genius and funny. Awesome camerawork during the fight as well. Scenes like these can be difficult to follow, but not here.
- The whole Re: Zero gimmick. The choice on how to deal with Chloe feels meaningful. The option to ask her on a date makes me wonder about potential continuity issues with Grace.
- When the MC wanted May to come to the bar the same night of the attack, I almost facepalmed. But in early chapter 3, the MC puts this decision into context. This is good writing. He rushed things. I don't think his state of mind was adequately shown in chapter 2, but I like his introspection afterward.
- There's a bit of a Solo Leveling vibe as well with how acolytes are players in a game.
- The nerd was a redshirt.

played very little but it looks like it has potential. Hopefully some hero will reintroduce incest back into the game. Dialog at the start of the game makes little sense if May isn't the father's daughter, as she states being upset talking about his death, and also Kazuya states "Well my dears, this is your father's apartment."
I just noticed she wasn't MC's sister because profile states her being a childhood friend, but by the game's own narrative this makes little sense.

Yeah, the game skirts around that topic a lot. I suspect the incest was written out at some point. It never really clears up how the MC and May knew each other, or how the MC got so close with May's family.

haha May is the only 1 I don't like tho part of it is cause she looks to young for me , Like I hated the part when she wore a dress looked off to me cause of that. Then with how much she clearly loves the LI some bits can be a bit uncomfortable when I don't want to do anything but be friendly while I know she wants more . Like the movie date scene I had to reload and skip that scene cause they started to kiss and touch each other when I went and picked that scene to be friendly and nothing else cause the MC promised her.

Yeah, I'm not very happy with the lack of certain choices either. The game doesn't have 'harem' listed as a genre, so I expected more of a dating sim experience. As it is, the MC seems to be on everyone's path unless the player picks the wrong choice and ends up with too few points for the next scene.

yeah the one thing I hate in general in AVN's is when you do something or pick a choice in general to be friendly but turns romantic without a choice. Especially when the options doesn't seem like it would be forced into a romantic scene , that is what the May scene seemed to me. I expected something to happen as a choice otherwise could keep it friendly

Yeah, same here. I would've loved it if I could've just slept with Lillian in the hotel room without having sex with her. But as soon as you agree to stay, the scene is unavoidable. Then the lack of choice with May... The game just told me that if I'm not interested in an LI, I need to spend as little time as possible with them. And that's doing its characters a disservice, I think.

oh man so much with the Lillian hotel scene while I liked her I would of loved it if there was another way to get in her path. Cause while I said yes on my main save , I said no on my other one. That scene felt kind of wrong to me cause of how drunk she was.

Exactly. Having sex with someone who's drugged or drunk isn't my idea of a good time.
It would've been great if we had a choice to bring up the hotel if we didn't stay to make our intentions clear to Lillith. For that matter, I'd like this kind of explicit choice for every LI. I didn't go on a date with Minami because teacher/student relationships do nothing for me (even though Minami is gorgeous), and I couldn't trust the MC to keep it in his pants.

funny enough normally I don't like teacher/student relationships in games a certain college game has turned me off from that. Yet in this game it didn't really bother me very few teacher LI don't bother me I can only think of like 3 or 4 off the top off my head. I think Minami didn't bother me cause I don't really see her as a teacher but someone that is helping the MC since she has alot of knowledge with these powers , demons etc etc.

You're right, she doesn't display the usual trope of the domineering teacher, and the game doesn't truly play into the power dynamic either. Her looking young also lets us forget she's 10-11 years older than the MC is. Even when she had to call the MC to order after fighting, she did it in a compassionate and equal way, without threats or demands.

Finished the rest of the game, those animations are really something else, blows out of the water every other adult game that has ever dared attempt to animate an action sequence. Usually you get scenes with movement and blows that has no weight, and while it's not perfect, it's pretty good and you can feel the weight behind the characters movements, it has probably took a lot of effort to make it look right, even if you have talent for it.
Plot is interesting, the fact that the dev managed to actually nail the action scenes pulls a lot of weight to make it interesting, many games that deviate from the adult focus get stale because like I said, the action scenes are dull and stale, relying on text and imagination to do the heavy lifting, not the case here.
All girls look great, my favorite from the more flashed out characters is May but I think the best model may be Asami
