Oh, please, I thought we were having a serious discussion here. Don't play the 'you're frustrated because it's taking long' card with me, when I'm sick of explaining why WaL! devs haven't released an update in almost 2 years. Again, the problem is not that there's 'plenty of fuckery without much introduction', but that there's too much fuckery against the flow of the game. You can not try to convince us that the MC is being chased by all the powers that be, and then make him roam around the city again and again, even on foot, just for what feels like yet another booty call that doesn't really add to the plot (especially when your path chosen forces you to skip that sex scene). This is a complaint I've been expressing for some time now.

same as you wont convince me that fucking Chandra in the backyard is some genius plot development, or having that infamous futa scene was 100% needed. its a fucking porn game, porn is the flow.

To each their own. When I go into these games I know Im not playing Cyberpunk, I'm playing an adult VN which are inherently going to lead be heavy on the sex scenes. This game is more focused on story than most, but is still "just" a porn game. I still dont think its out of character for the world that multiple sex partners would be crazy.

The Patreon after all is "Phillygames, creating Adult games" not "Phillygames, creating a deeply hard sci-fi world that mimics our day to day life"

The plot makes the sex scenes better because you're attached to the characters and actually care about what happens to them.

I agree. I love a game with a good story, but also with a good amount of spice sex. I think I'm still stucked at the 90's where the porn movies they were more softcore and with good stories. Example: Animal Instinct, a movie with spice softcore sex, but with good story theme.

Something like Terry Gilliam Brazil Movie from 1985? I'm all for it design wise and if the story is nearly as good as that movie even better. An original story of course but can always drink something from it since at its core it is a romance movie also.

This is where one can draw a comparison with a Japanese visual novels. And by that I don't mean those nukigw fuckfests that go from one sex scene to the next, but stuff like the original Fate/Stay Night or, if we wanna go more Slice of Life drama, KiraKira, which have like 2 sex scenes per love interest scattered across like 15 hours of reading for each.

That isn't to say that nukige can't have interesting stories either. Take Bible Black for example.

Personally, I go about playing COBD by just focusing on one girl at a time and I feel like it serves the story more.

I think a big limitation on this games is the availability of pre-made assets. That's why a lot of space opera games end up with orcs and elves with swords. Sadly.

Yes, it is possible, if you have a proper software (I suppose something like Blender) and if you know how to use it.
Anyway Daz3D has 107 pages of sci-fi assets among aliens, clothes, weapons, accessories and scenarios, so I don't think there is a lack of assets.

Dev Update #208

Posting early since I plan to head out the door shortly here. I do want to thank you guys for all the feedback on upcoming ideas during this week. There was a lot, and all varied and constructive feedback! Good stuff!
As stated last week, you guys have a pretty good idea where I am at, and this was a good week. Two of the biggest scenes in the game in the bag and written. Along side that, a mid sized one and working on another large one. Add in some cool animations and it was quite productive.

So, as with last week this will be the same deal. I am kind of dreading next weeks post since it will be almost a repeat of this one lol. I guess that is the way it has to go
