To each their own. When I go into these games I know Im not playing Cyberpunk, I'm playing an adult VN which are inherently going to lead be heavy on the sex scenes. This game is more focused on story than most, but is still "just" a porn game. I still dont think its out of character for the world that multiple sex partners would be crazy.
one can say thats because not all girls were introduced right at the start, but for example Shanlon can be screwed almost immediately too. game was always like that more or less. maybe only exception was this rebel girl with lightning symbol on her face
This. In Book 2, the effort to include all those sex scenes goes against the storytelling. Where Book 1 was an interesting story with sex scenes, Book 2 is a nice and entertaining fuckfest, but little else. Anyway, here's hoping for a satisfactory ending. With its flaws, it's still one of the best games out there.
nah Im still standing on the point its nothing but a wishful thinking or hidden frustration over long c14 release. and its weird to explain the amount of sex scenes because of "nature" of a characters, we are switching the cause and result here to suit argument. not to say its nothing out of extraordinary for porn game to up a pace further into development, and even then, the game had plenty of fuckery without much introduction, even in book 1.
Oh, please, I thought we were having a serious discussion here. Don't play the 'you're frustrated because it's taking long' card with me, when I'm sick of explaining why WaL! devs haven't released an update in almost 2 years. Again, the problem is not that there's 'plenty of fuckery without much introduction', but that there's too much fuckery against the flow of the game. You can not try to convince us that the MC is being chased by all the powers that be, and then make him roam around the city again and again, even on foot, just for what feels like yet another booty call that doesn't really add to the plot (especially when your path chosen forces you to skip that sex scene). This is a complaint I've been expressing for some time now.
same as you wont convince me that fucking Chandra in the backyard is some genius plot development, or having that infamous futa scene was 100% needed. its a fucking porn game, porn is the flow.
Adult game doesn't mean just porn. The reason why most of us play these games is because of the story that mainstream porn lacks. There's a reason these are called visual "novels". The plot makes the sex scenes better because you're attached to the characters and actually care about what happens to them.
I agree. I love a game with a good story, but also with a good amount of spice sex. I think I'm still stucked at the 90's where the porn movies they were more softcore and with good stories. Example: Animal Instinct, a movie with spice softcore sex, but with good story theme.
Something like Terry Gilliam Brazil Movie from 1985? I'm all for it design wise and if the story is nearly as good as that movie even better. An original story of course but can always drink something from it since at its core it is a romance movie also.
This is where one can draw a comparison with a Japanese visual novels. And by that I don't mean those nukigw fuckfests that go from one sex scene to the next, but stuff like the original Fate/Stay Night or, if we wanna go more Slice of Life drama, KiraKira, which have like 2 sex scenes per love interest scattered across like 15 hours of reading for each.
