This game has really nice renders and animations, but the last few chapters and endings leave me feel half empty. The LIs are basically all fuck buddies, not lovers. They show indifference whether you're playing as a manwhore or not. When you pick who to end with, the other possible LIs don't have their own desires which can conflict with your own, even when their love scores are as high if not higher than your chosen girl. I've only done Victoria and Gloria's endings so far; both
Nevertheless, the game is still one of the few high quality games that are completed while many other AVNs either get abandoned or stuck in forever development. The story can obviously keep going for years, but the plots and sex scenes are becoming repetitive by the final chapters. It's good that Philly ends it before it overstays the welcome, even though I believe the endings can be concluded better.

Yes there is a mistake in that walkthrough, you have to give the fluids to Katie in chapter 14, check my post 5 posts above yours.
Does anyone know which scene I am missing and how to unlock it? It is listed right after a gloria + ellen/victoria dream sequence based on choices and right before I think the first gloria scene at around either Ch8 or Ch9
Just finished this one. Wish the endings had more impact on the relationships but it seems that no one cares who you end up with since they are all buddies. Kind of wish harem would be an option but that's maybe just me. But overall i enjoyed my time with this one. Do we know if Philly is working on anything new that we could keep an eye on?

I just played chapter 14. Yet to play 15.
Does anyone else feel that the writing gets more and more retarded every chapter after like chapter 6 or so? Maybe 7? Idk. It's just so fucking disappointing. Just so fucking disappointing. I can't believe that years of hardwork and hype culminated into this.

normal and this had been going 5 years and even most dedicated devs get tired eventually.

I find it pretty hilarious when some people try to act like literary critics here. I mean, come on, these are porn games! What do they expect? A freaking William Gibson cyberpunk novel? That said, COBD story is one of the best I've read among other AVNs on this site.

There are plenty of games here with actually good writing.
I am not saying this is a bad game. I am just disappointed because I remember playing this game for the first time when only the first 2 or so chapters are out and thinking how good it is. This was the first game I played on this site that felt like it was more than just a porn game.
In fact it was so good that I kept playing it even after I was done jerking off (the highest compliment a porn game can get).
And now finally finishing chapter 15, I can't help but feel sad about how bad the writing comparatively starts to get after the halfway point.
I really hope that Philly will hire a writer for his next game to work alongside him. Philly is one of the most talented avn game devs and he's probably one of the most respected ones here, but there's no shame in hiring someone to help him. Not replace him though obviously. I still want him to write it but someone else to write it alongside him.

I see what you mean. Sorry, I just had no idea there were people who really appreciate the writing in these adult games. I totally enjoy a good story too, and when I played COBD, I didn’t have a disappointing experience at all—maybe because I played the full version in one year.

I would not call it retarded, but there is some quality drop in the story in the last few chapters even. Besides still disapointed how Chandra was just used as bait but never got her own ending...

Yeah I think it's pretty common, from my observation around the half way point of the development of a game devs tend to lose steam, passion, and just burn out etc. I can't say for sure if that's what happened in this game but I agree that around the middle chapters the game doesn't click as much as the first couple did.
Not to say the game is out right bad especially compared to a lot of the dreck that gets put out.

Nice game, came for gooning, stayed because of the plot, really got interested in what would happen next.
