There was a guy here posting statistics and then drawing inferences from them regarding when the next update will come out. His posts should be around the dev updates from last week or maybe the week before that.
Not sure if you meant this, but here is my latest look at Philly's progress. I think a late March release is possible but not guaranteed. It's hard to say anything for certain when we don't know what Philly is aiming for with the new chapter.

Ok, so I have a couple questions:

1. How prevalent are the trans sex scenes in this game, and are they avoidable?

2. How heavy does this game go on bdsm, and can you avoid the extra heavy bdsm?

Trans scene is completely avoidable. It's towards the beginning (after meeting Chandra in the club and talking to Ellen). If you want to avoid it completely, go home with Ellen. Or just say no to it when you use VR (that's where it happens). You have the option to opt out of it, so it's not forced on you.

BDSM is the same way. Just don't hook up with Shanlon at her place. Basically, reject her, otherwise you're in for some hardcore stuff. The game warns you as well if you really want to see it, so you know it is coming (it literally tells you there is no going back).

Figured it was safer to put in spoilers just incase.

You also don't have to go full depravity mode on Shanlon. Just don't hit her when it comes up. It gives a direct warning and even asks to confirm your choice. I can't remember the exact differences for the scene though. That will also most likly close off similar content wit her and her assistant from that point on but if you don't want to see it anyway that's the point.

So I just started this game, and i got a question. What's the function of "breaking points' for Chandra and Shanlon? What's the point of Katie's "dirty" points. Is this gonna have impact on future lewd scenes and whatnot?

The sex scenes with breaking point can become more rough.
For Katie the "dirty" points might bring her to enjoy discovering her kinky side.
