Doesn't it look like the skirt Chandra was wearing in that preview some weeks ago? The one where she was lying on her back?
If any of you saved that render we could check it out because the link in the original post seems to be broken.

I don't remember any other female character wearing a similar type of skirt other than Chandra and Vicky. (That's clearly not Vicky's ass.) Also, I think Katie's ass is bigger and rounder than that one, but I might be wrong.

Okay, this was a busy week. First, a good deal of rendering done which brings the count up to 712 renders. One large animation bringing that up to 44. This next week will be animation heavy.

Also, yesterday I installed some long awaiting hardware. Wow, it is hard to get stuff these days as you guys know, but it is done. I stress tested the system all day yesterday to test the new hardware which includes a brand new video card and power supply. I also upgraded some of my software which is always a scary prospect. Thankfully everything worked out, in fact some odd bugs I had have are now resolved. One of those bug fixes allows me to produce effects like in the shot below more frequently.

Note I haven't finished color grading that shot yet, it is right off the press today. Past that, enjoy your weekend. I for one and probably going to have a beer soon.

It looks like Philly completed 76 static renders and a single animation this week. He is now averaging ~63 statics and 4.1 animations per week (45 statics and 2.8 animations if we include his December vacation). Or, in chart form, something like this:

Still no word on the end goals, but I think we can make some guesses. Since Philly didn't announce any targets, it seems safe to assume we're still several weeks out. Apparently next week will be animation heavy. Philly's top animation output is 8 in a single week and anything over 5 would be above average; admittedly, he might mean fewer longer animations, but let's stick with what we can quantify for now.

If we assume an above average week, we'd be looking at an animation count somewhere between Chapters 6 and 8. Philly's static render output has been extremely consistent (probably because he has a full queue), so I'd expect him to rack up a static count in the Chapter 6 or 8 range somewhere between March 13 and March 27. If we assume we're near the end for animations but add a week or so for testing, that suggests a release in the late March/early April time frame.

Of course there is the new graphics hardware he mentioned. From everything I've heard the new top-end cards really deliver if you manage to get your hands on one. So it's possible Philly might knock 2 weeks off that schedule if the new setup is online. Then again, he might saturate the benefits if the hardware can literally process statics faster than Philly can pose them; something similar seems to have happened with DPC on BaDIK. In that case we'd probably only wind up a week or so ahead of schedule. Definitely something to keep an eye on next week.

In related news, I'm curious to see if Philly can finally find a way to render water convincingly. It's a common problem across these games, which is a real shame. Even ignoring the speed increase, Philly's graphical skills make me very eager to see what he can do with new toys.

Chapter 8 has 1.102 images and 70 videos animations. Comparing chapter 9 with chapter 8... The current update says 712 images and 44 videos, so it count about 390 images and 26 videos to go. However, I am counting aditional more 5 or 10 videos and around 20 or 25 more images, what means the total rendering of chapter 9 will be around 1125 imagens and 80 videos. For that, I am calculating that chapter 9 release date is comimg around on the last week of March or the first week of April.

Isn’t this the case with the last updates?
Same month of november but with a few days of difference. CoBD on 07/11 and BaDIK 13/11. But they won't coincide again soon. This game is on a ~3months schedule while BaDIK is pretty much around +5 months schedule.

You're 100% right! That's Abby's skirt with those characteristic stripes.
Since there were 3 choices, I'm guessing we might have a sexy scene with Ellen, Sonja or Abby?

So the last time I played this game was summer 2019, back then I knew this game needed some time to be fully appreciated. And guys I could not be more happy that I somehow waited till now. I hope that I do not need to mention top notch models, graphics and animations, but what really got me is how well is this game written. Characters, the plot, how it unfolds over the time, this game truly is one of the best if not the best VN I played so far. Such a fucking great job PhillyGames, keep at it, for the next month I am gonna support you, you deserve it... Oh and by the way, half of the stuff you made should have been used in Cyberpunk, then it would have been much better game
