Wanted to compare two mysterious female characters from the TOP-2 VNs in terms of how they are written and implemented from a story point of view in a small comparative note. As both the games are sort of story-driven I find this comparison appropriate. A battle of titans: Victoria (Philly's CoBD) vs. Isabella (DPC's BaDIK)

That's a very good read my friend. And I agree on the writing trick as well but I am also intrigued what Philly would do with Isabella as a character in general. No doubt she's one of the most intriguing characters in that game.
If Philly did use that sort of writing in CoBD I think the game would be untouchable as a #1 game on here (to me, it's pretty close to already being that.)

You took Bella as an example but that kind of convenient writing is present with almost every other character in BaDIK and it's what put me off from that game in chapter3 or so (I still kept playing until chapter 6 but just for the lulz, then it became too much for me and I finally drop it), so you're definitely not alone in your criticism. Sure, Philly is somewhat guilty too, with all that Caracas incident we only get to know (almost) in full during chapter 8, but you can see there's a narrative purpose in terms of character and story development, it's not there just for its shock value. Also, your MC can ask Victoria some legit questions and even though she refuses to address them, at least players are 'happy' with their own character behaving like a real person considering his background and the game's environment.

is it just me who finds this game extremely dialogue driven and have low sex scenes ratio?? i do not read much and press tab but i think i am doing wrong there. Since the game is so highly rated. To me there was a lot of content but there were very few hot scenes. Do you read full text?

I've played this game so many times at this point, and I still read the dialogue no matter what, even though I only do one route over and over again (Katie.)
The story is very dialogue based, the sex/lewd scenes in my opinion are well placed and do well in the places they are placed to push things forward with the story. To me, and I've said it so many times in this thread, that this is the best game on the site and the best VN out there today.
Yes the story revolves around one person (Gloria) and it can get a little tiresome at times because of it, but skipping dialogue is not really something that should be done, unless you know it word for word. I never get tired of running through this game, even though I know what to expect because of how I play.
Some people want words and story, some just want the sex scenes, and others want a good mix of both. But I look at it a different way which I've said in this thread and many others.
Give me a great story, some passionate love scenes (like with Katie in Chapter 6), and some great dialogue, and I'm a happy guy.

Yes ,it's a story driven with a fair amount of sexscenes (in my opinion). The game is highly rated BECAUSE of the story, not despite of it. If lewd scenes is all you want this game is maybe not for you since it will continue to be storydriven until it's finished.
To me the only weak link in Philly's writing in CoBD is that some scenes and sequences look slightly underdeveloped or even like a rough draft. For instance, that scene with Katie when she tells Jake she loves him but there is no further choice provided. It feels like if there could be more meaningful dialogue lines, more chemistry between characters, more bonding, more emotions in such scenes.
This issue mainly concerns dramatic and serious talk scenes that can be mapped out and directed better. As opposed to BaDIK it is a matter of polishing a good story and making it even more believable from a human relationship point of view. In BaDIK we are artificially and deliberately kept in the dark.

I SOOOOOO agree on the no option thing when it comes to Katie telling him she loves him. I think it would've made that moment so much more special. I'm very big on those three words when it comes to games, and I feel that once a character says it. it should be reciprocated almost immediately, especially to someone so caring and loving as Katie.
Yes I'm a "Katiephile" and I always will be. Her dialogue to him has been wonderful, like when she goes out to him after he storms off and it starts raining on them or even she approaches him after Ellen falls. There's so many times when her words are so caring and so genuine. I just wish there was more from his side because right now, most of the meaningful & loving dialogue is coming from her.
Just how I see it.
I mean, how can you not say "I love you too" to a face like this?
She's just fucking perfect in every way

The game is heavy on the story side but i wouldn't call it low on the sex scenes ratio. There are quite a lot of them as you progress th story.
ps: i agree mostly with what has been said about BaDIK. Drama for drama's sake has been the way that game advances its story since the start.

i think i might know what the cause might be i am using a walk through mod eventhough it says its updated for Ch9 but as you can see in the screenshot it keeps saying Image Ch9lab46 not found it does that every sene
If you don't read much of the text then this is not a game for you. Dare I even say that none of the best AVN games are for you, as they are all story-driven, which means reading.
If all you want is just mindless non-story driven sex, just go watch porn.

I will try to read the text i guess. Its not that I dont want to read text at all, its just that i have played so many games that reading text feels like a waste of time and not worth it and may have been biased in the beginning. I liked DA a lot tho ngl, it had fair amount of sex scenes and was interesting too. I will give it another try in future.
If you have played games which gave you the feeling that read the dialogues was a waste of time, you have never played a Phillygames' game.

1. Gloria and Henry right before their first encounter with Jake - somehow Henry doesn't question her on the "man from her dreams" and her fears.
2. The first conversation between Jake and Gloria - she could ask more questions and be even more talkative as she finally met the man from her dreams.
3. Gloria and Jake in Ellen's den after their first intimate dream when he can grab her waist or ass - their bonding could be warmer and longer as there are obvious reasons for this.
4. Jake and Gloria in the pit especially if with a high score on her - the reunion scene could be more emotional for the both and more surprising for her.
5. Gloria and Jake after the threesome dream with Victoria - the conversation could be more meaningful, Gloria should have asked more about Victoria and Jake's views on her. Every jealous woman would do that.
