No it does not defeat the purpose. You are entirely free choose to not screw around with anybody else after choosing someone. Nothing is forced on to you. That goes for in-game or in real life. Blaming one's lack of self-control on being given an opportunity to mess around makes no sense at all.

I don't think you know how karma works. If we talk morals, most of the COBD cast would deserve to die or at least end up in prison for life (looking at Meredith and Mr. Dickhead aka Alexis Connor). So according to your logic, the MC and Sonja are the last characters who deserve a happy ending after what they did, unless you tell me that a woman supposedly whoring herself out to rich fools is worse than killing ppl for money.
That's a good argument, but the same can be said about Victoria. If she hadn't helped the MC and also covered his ass, Baynard would've killed him, since he became a liability who knew too much about the shady shit that goes down behind the scenes. Without her, the Red Moon would've killed him in Ch7 (IIRC) on the spellbound path, and I don't think Sonja could've been much of a help against that lunatic. Both of them love and care for the MC, the only advantage Sonja has is that she knows him for much longer than Vic does.
About that "whore" thing you keep mentioning... Victoria is an augment who can seduce ppl and bend them to her will, according to Meredith, she's also a very smart woman, so her giving her pussy like it was free candy or some bonus to a shady deal wouldn't make sense storywise and ppl would stone Philly to death cause of the usual NTR argument. The only 2 ppl Victoria ever was intimate with are the MC, who needed 'persuasion' after he figured out what she was, and the chief of police, who surely must've known about the augment program. Didn't you see how quickly she seduced and KO'ed the two guys in this chapter ?? So yeah, saying Vic is a whore is an exaggeration you can't prove with arguments from the story. The only LI who was a hooker for reasons was Carli in DA.
Oh c'mon, they were in a situation where it meant kill or be killed. I won't say it wasn't a tragedy, but they did what they had to do to survive. What you said would be true if Luciana was their daughter... now that's some tough shit you can't go back from, but in their case, they killed a girl who was a danger to them and to herself.
Ain't that what most women do to us men IRL ?? 'Corrupt' us and then try to take advantage of our love, or use their 'assets' to have an easy life ?? Why blame only Victoria, y'all should be ashamed of yourselves and your beauty.
She only says this on the spellbound path. On the romance path, she says she trusts her cause she has as many reasons to hate Baynard as they do.

Nope. Gloria says this in other routes the protagonist is following. I tested with both Ellen and Chandra as Jake's love interest and got this dialogue line. Bet the same is also true in Katie and Gloria's routes.
What? Just because only two instances of her using sex as a persuation tool are shown that doesn't mean the statement is a exageration. Not when the game makes sure Meredith, and sometimes even Victoria, keep talking about how this was the part of the redhead job at Baynard.

I've just finished playing through from the start to do Victoria's route and I counted 4 instances of her saying she was used to have sex to forward one of Merediths plans and quite a few hints at others, all admissions from Vic herself.
One of which happens during the game when she has a night with the police chief, she turns her down the second night.
So, yes, she was used as a whore. The whole point of her augments is for that very purpose.
Philly gives zero fucks.
During DA Carli is still seeing clients and having sex with them while in a relationship with the MC, in fact she leaves one date because she has to "go to work".
Anyone crying NTR over Victoria's past exploits is an idiot.
They may have some merit with the police chief but even then it's before relationships are set and people are still free to do what they want.
Meredith also gropes victoria in the shower including fingering her.
Victoria's whole surprise at the MC turning her down at the start only surprises her because nobody else has.
Edit - Just to clarify, if someone was to cry NTR over Victoria's past exploits then they would also have to do so over Ellen, Chandra, Abby, Shanlon, Katie and whoever else he sticks his dick in besides Gloria and Venus.
Gloria almost had sex but can't recall if there is mention of anyone else so she gets the virgin card and Venus has only just been built so no one has touched her fine metal ass.
Everyone else has had sex before.
Also crying over past exploits is dumb and makes me want to mock them hard like those that cried over the aunts stories from her childhood in Summer with Mia 2.

Great update as usual! I, of course, did full on Katie route for my first playthrough cause..... Katie..... Then realized the only other toute I even gave a shit about was Gloria, so got that one ready to go. Anyone know if there's one or two more chapters? From a casual player, kinda seems like one chapter unless there's an "and they lived happily ever after epilogue".

I do believe there are 2 left.
I think the next one is set to be the big payoff to everything that's been building up and after that will be wrapping up the story with, hopefully, as few plot holes as possible.
However if the game finishes with no one making a dogystyle joke at Todd I will be very unhappy.

The whole chapter was more or less dedicated to choosing one of the main 4 love interests so there hasn't been much room for the story to progress. Too bad I'm not really enthralled by either of them. They're all hot but I'm more interested in Abby, Chandy or even Shanlon TBH.

Did you made sure to unzip the update files and put them inside the \game folder? You can't put the whole zip/folder there.
