I've played through the bulk of Chapter 13. It's a bit on the short side, but more importantly it feels repetitive - which is sad when 'repetitve' has been the watchword for the last couple chapters. This update hits a lot of the same beats as Chapter 12 with little new to show us aside from a long awaited threesome. We once again end the chapter with the promise that the time for our retribution is at hand, but at this point I'm certainly not putting any money on seeing said retribution.
Anyway, let's dig into the details.
Well, there you have it. I'm sorry to come across so negatively, but there's just not much good I can say. The game still looks great, but it's all surface finish. The characters are underutilized, the scenes are old hat, and the plot is completely AWOL. And this has been going on too long to put it down as an off day; the game has serious structural problems now. I know Philly is capable of more than this, so let's hope he manages to find his muse again for the finale (whenever we finally get there) because his B game is clearly not up to the task.
tl;dr A nice threesome, but otherwise it's yet another chapter that goes through the motions then promises things will change... next time.

Holy shit! So it only has one chapter left?
That means, barring something unforeseen, CoBD will be completed this year. That would be OUTSTANDING! I stopped playing at v0.4.1 (or whatever updated ended with Ellen falling over the rail and getting seriously injured). I've been waiting years for this game to be completed, so that I can enjoy it start to finish.

I don't know if I'm spoiled or what but all sex scenes seems a bit flat, especially in dialog. A few ohhs and ahhs and that's it.
Hey guys I downloaded just the patch but I don't see the scenes to rewatch them in scene gallery? Do I need some new file as well and could anyone send it?

It's a scene with Krista in the Pit in Chapter 9. I think it requires 2+ Depravity and taking Ellen as your plus one. Bit of a pain for a relatively minor payout, IMHO.
It's unclear. Philly suggested he was splitting the original Chapter 13 into two halves, so it's possible the original Chapter 14 will be pushed back to Chapter 15. It's also possible the remainder will be wrapped into the old Chapter 14 making the whole thing bigger.
Personally, my money is on the extra chapter since the game hasn't exactly been bursting with story progression lately, but it's hard to be certain until Philly clarifies his plans.
Nice summary on Chandra - my feelings were the same as you layed out here. I actually messed around with some of the choices for the Abby / Chandra scene initially trying to find the route where I could tell Abby I was just interested in hopping in the shower with Chandra while she waited in the living room...but as you noted, that never comes, it's forced down your throat no matter what if you want time with Chandra. This setup was terrible. It doesn't take your previously declared choices / preferences into account. I like Abby, but I'm not interested in her being part of the relationship with Chandra - never have been and my choices have been clear on that throughout the game.Anyway, let's move on to Chandra and Abby, which is clearly the big ticket item of the update. If we judge it purely as a sex scene, I'd say it's a clear win. The game has been teasing this threesome for even longer than it's been teasing Sasha, so it's great to finally cross it off the list. The action is reasonably hot, the girls stay in character, and there are some funny moments. It's not even all that implausible as a sex scene, at least compared to some of its contemporaries. It looks great too, though that's not much of a surprise. So overall I'd say well done... as a sex scene.
In the larger context, though, there are a few problems. First, the setup is just plain stupid: not only have Chandra and Abby managed to locate LA's most wanted fugitive, but they even tailed him for a few blocks before he noticed. Just... why? I get Philly didn't want to waste time on the setup, but there were still so many better options. Have the MC call Chandra to help hype the concert, or have them waiting at Todd's (since we know Abby is friendly with him), or even just make it a massive coincidence. No, instead we go straight to making both the MC and Baynard look incompetent. Great.
Second, the scene is very unresponsive to our past choices. Never brought Abby to the Pit? No change. Refused to sleep with Abby previously? No change. Refused to sleep with Chandra before? No change. I'd like to think the scene changes if you never saved Abby from her drug dealer, but my guess is you simply don't get the option. After all the time we spent building this up, I was expecting a more developed payoff. Really, it makes me think this scene should have been included in Chapter 11 instead of that nonsensical strip club bit and the terrible recycled scene of Chandra in her mom's underwear. It's one more sign the game is padded: not only is it struggling for ideas to fill up time, but it doesn't bother to fully explore the ideas it has.
The third and final problem is that this once again completely fails to set up a proper ending for Chandra. She was, allegedly, raised to LI status, but you'd never know if you didn't look at the "Contacts" screen. If anything, we backtrack a bit as her previous rivalry with Abby is completely gone and the two are on the exact same (one-note) page. What does Chandra want long term? Who knows. Where does Abby fit in? Shut up, that's where. There are so many ways Chandra's relationship with the MC could go, both wholesome and depraved, and yet somehow Sonja has more of a long-term plan for the MC than Chandra does. It's such a waste of potential - and I'm well and truly sick of saying that.
The scene as a sex scene, as you noted, was lit, but for players who have just been interested in a solo route with Chandra, it was not well-written at all. The pre-hotel setup was idiotic and a phone call from the MC to Chandra would have made much more sense. I asked earlier in the thread the same question you covered here in your third bit, about setting up an ending - we haven't seen that choice to setup yet like we did for Victoria, Katie, and Gloria in Ch12. Why not? Definitely want the wholesome / solo ending if there will be one, but I'm increasingly losing any faith that it's coming and heavily leaning toward not buying Book 2 of the game on Steam (Steam purchases are how I support the devs in most cases if I feel they deserve it, and on rare occasions I'll support on Patreon as well). There's still time to get back on course, but at this point I'll believe it when I see it.

It is a scene back when you go to the Pit. It is little trick to unlock this scene, because you must go there with Ellen and you must have depravity points. I think there is a walkthrough in this same thread teaching how to unlock this scene. Go back some pages and you will find it.

There is only one "futa" character in City of Broken Dreamers. I put "futa" in quotes because this character is neither futanari or transsexual, she is a mutant, like Gloria, Abby and many other characters in this story. The mutating virus affects different folks in different ways. The "futa" character started life as a woman then grew male genitalia when she mutated.

It's pretty strict, if I am not mistaken you need to have max score (6, at that point) with her, so everytime you can choose score over lust you have to do so.
First example would be to deny to have sex with her in chapter 1.

Those check marks represent various scene options, like the addition of anal sex, bdsm or other alternative positions. Check the walkthrough for help in unlocking those as there are a LOT of extra check marks on many of the the scenes. In general, anal sex has minimum lust requirements and can also have a depravity score requirement that is a hidden value. You can track your scores with the various LI in the pop out box in the upper left corner of your screen.
