That's a shame because it's established she always had a crush on the MC and she could have played a way bigger role in the story by the mere fact of being Meredith's daughter. There was something in EP3 ( probably her most intimate and meaningful episode with the MC ) but after that she was just written as a booty call. She made sporadic appearances but their relationship has never evolved beyond fun sex sessions. I'd have love a more meaningful relationship as well but we take what we can get.
Yep I agree completely. The writing has been pretty subpar with her. I'll be curious to see what he does. If he doesn't write a solo ending for her then I'm not sure why he ever elevated her back in the day as it will ultimately just look like he baited and switched people who wanted her as an LI and I'd like to believe he wouldn't do that to his customers. Just the VR scene which came out when the game came out years ago. No new content since and probably never will be more content given the pretext of that scene itself. That or unless there's something more that I'm not aware of, otherwise yeah that's it if you're strictly here for that considering it's only makes up like less than 50mb for a otherwise 13 gigs worth of content in its uncompressed form.

I agree with you. I am also a big fan of Philly's games and I am also disappointed how the story of City of Broken Dreamers is unfolding in the current two last chapters.Nobody can blame you for thinking that coz that's truth.
About the story... sadly, things don't look so good. Either Philly doesn't know how to continue it coz he suffers from writer's block or got burned out after working on so much stuff for the game and those rewards for his high tier supporters. There were a lot of things you mentioned in your post with which I fully agree, and it's really disappointing to see the big potential the game had till Book 2 was released being wasted in every new update. I find it kinda funny that I expected to see the MC and his group already infiltrating Baynard and do some damage, given how Ch12 ended, but instead we got another delay for the next chapter and more sex scenes that seem out of place. Personal opinion.
I sincerely hope I'm wrong on this, but I'm not so optimistic about seeing a good, satisfying and logical ending after all those recent fuckups.
COBD is current kind of a brazilian novel, with plots that never unfold until the final chapter.
Just kidding!But serious, I think the plot of COBD could be have more "elaborated", with branches for diferent routes, depending on the MC's choices. I mean, the "depraved" path, for example, is supposely to be the more kinky and "bad' route path, but it is the same as if you choose be in romance path with any girl.
As you say, the sex scenes are becoming repetitive and not even Shanlon sex scenes are that kinky anymore. About possible threesome between MC, Shanlon and Victoria, I feel that will happen but just as an ending bonus scene, I think.
And just to close my reply, I do have some ideas to create some interesting scenes if I would be the script guy of the game.

There's only so many romances you can shoehorn into the plot. For a good few chapters I've felt like the cast is way too big now and it kinda takes away from the ,"us against the world" plot element. Obviously that's just my opinion.

Ya I downloaded that the same night I played the game - very good song.
I think there was plenty of room for her, personally, but as you said, it's just our individual opinions on things. With Ch13 she still ended up there working with them to help out with Ellen's show, so clearly Philly was willing to involve her, but I think the way he's gone about handling her in the overarching plot could have been done far better.

It's sad to see the game that was once meant to set a new high for the genre to become an above-average glorified porn flick. There's no point anymore in arguing about what could've been done better in terms of story, characters and relationships' development (and ename144 would do it a thousand times better than me anyway). Now I just want Philly to put CoBD out of its misery as soon as possible and, maybe, try to get a proper game plan designed from start to end for his next project -and stick to it. Or just get some better consultants. Something. It's just too much wasted potential right here. Oh well

As much as I appreciate this game I think it's time to close up this story. This update felt like just a vignette of sex scenes, probably some of the highest quality ones you can find in adult games but given the immense narrative quality we've come to expect from Philly games this almost feels like a waste. I'm excited to see what the Dev can do next with a completely new IP.

I'm pretty sure the only main LI's at this point are the ones we were able to chose in the previous chapter which would be Katie, Victoria, Ellen and Gloria.

Haven't played newest yet, so can't commet on the disappointment people are feeling, but regarding the new IP, I have said before I hoped for something out of this world (literally and figuratively) or at least a different time period. I was sad to learn the next one will be in same setting. As much as I enjoy cyberpunk settings, I prefer when a dev completely switches genres after completing a project. If for no other reason then to refresh the mind and take chances on new things instead of remaining stale with the old.
The DA to CoBD was a slight change, but both still have that noir feel (classic film noir vs tech noir). I would vote for sci-fi or historical or maybe a horror.
If you see them in the Info tab, they are considered main LIs. This is what people were talking about in the thread earlier regarding Philly deciding to elevate Chandra way back around Ch3 when the game was being developed. She was originally supposed to be a side girl only (like Shanlon, Sasha, etc.) but she was so popular with the community that he elevated her to an official LI, which is why her points are tracked in the tab, etc. As some others noted there were some LIs in Depraved Awakening that got endings but were somewhat uncertain up until that point - this could be the case with Chandra, but really, who knows, time will tell.

This game has been losing my interest for a while so I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but I don't care to play the final update now. The story has become 2nd to the sex scenes. Which is very disappointing of one of the biggest (and still best) devs out there.
I believe Philly has a writer (or at least used to?) but he probably needs to plan the story better in his next game. This one got lost in the woods along the way.
