The issue is that no one is going to pay for the actual game if people go around downloading them, editing them, and reposting them somewhere else. There's no incentive at all for any donations to be made to the original devs, especially if the creator of this version is a patron. They have access to the newest versions early, meaning they can edit them early, and potentially post them earlier than the original devs would.

Is this not what is already done on F95? A person downloads the game early and uploads it here so people that don't pay can play it even before the dev approves it for public? Doesn't that also kill the incentive to the original creator based on your logic? Just seems an absurd point when you realize what site you're on. And it would be fully resolved by this remaker not uploading the brand new version ASAP and waits until the public versions come out. The upload mods already apply that rule for some games anyway.

Just seems like everyone is arguing for such a dumb reason. No its not going to hurt Arcs patreon. Yes some people are lazy and want a braindead VN experience. That's just how it is sometimes.

Not while the mods are on deletion spree.
They even cleaned up that screenshot with Arc's approval of this version, which was quite dumb since it was good stuff to prevent further questioning of this "remake."

Not sure how getting the ok and providing proof to allow this version to continue is classed as "off topic" and have the post removed but I don't make the rules around here, I would have thought having the dev's ok to do this would help a pirate site but perhaps the mods are upset with the dev in question, would not be the first time.

Either way, as I said last time if this allows more people to enjoy the game then so be it.

Going on the developer notes on where it ends for now it still has a fair bit to go before catching up and once it does catch up I can't see it staying up to date each week as the main game in question is weekly updates it would make more sense to do it on a monthly or even bi-monthly

Later that gamer because of this port may never want to try original game. What I mean is that things like this dependably of its quality can make a really bad PR for original games.

I would say that is stupid enough if they didn't realize the "version" in the name and the "overview" description of this version of the game, but I get your point, people can be stupid enough to kink-shame on a hentai games pirating site or dissing a game just because it does/doesn't have a certain genre they aren't/are into. Haven't played this version yet but this can easily be fixed by putting on something at the start of the game which can probably be ignored the same way lel.

I don't think anything happened, this 'Version' I think (since I haven't played it) just made it 'Visual Novel' like without the 'Exploration' part and other miscellaneous stuff the Sandbox Version has.



Anyways, whether this game is seen as 'better' by the others, or if it gets financial support or not, what only matters to me is they got permission from the Original Game's creator, everything else is of little matter of liking this or not.

On a different note, a remake doesn't really feel necessary... this could've been released as a mod instead or something.

This version has been disassembled and rebuilt in such a way that only the pure plot is left in it. it is still in the working stages, it has not been completely cleaned up, but elements such as the map, time, stats and more have been removed.
