The game's authors themselves have backed themselves into a corner. And they don't know how to complete the game because of the large number of main and side quests that are still far from finished. They need to stop adding new elements that are months away from completion and focus on the current tasks to be completed. There is another update coming out in 2 months. Which will add more tasks. But the previous ones will still not be completed.
Yeah, i bought this game as soon as it became avaliable on steam thinking it would help the devs to launch the final product sooner. But in a bizarre twist of events, its actualy the giant milkcow coming from patreon that is delaying the game.
Pretty much that, I would say. The old prologue (shore) certainly has more CG content than the new one. The major difference will of course be the state of Claire's mother, though that doesn't have any real consequences implemented, yet. So just for volume of CGs, shore > saving mum.

The choices you make during the interactions with her matter, basically you need to make her feel empowered (Aka treat her like a mistress with exesive respect, and pay attention to the book you chose for her).
is what I always said and I continue to say : the developers have accumulated too much content to be done and now they have '' a mountain and don't know how to climb ''. It got to the point that if the developers made a post on patreon saying '' we will not post new content during some updates, because we will dedicate 2 - 3 updates to finish all quests. '' I would be happy, if they made that post.
Excuse the dev for actually wanting to make a game ( Of which weight mechanics and weather mechanics are a common thing) and not just a jerking-off device.
Yup but it takes a while which makes sense considering this is an ambitious game.
