For anybody interested in cheating.

Dont mess around with memory editing, instead do this its really easy:
  • Ingame Press Save -> Save File -> Copy
  • paste the text into the Input box on this tool
  • change the Convert drop-down to Decompress
  • copy the output to a text editor of your choice and make your edits
  • copy your edited text back into the input window
  • change the drop-down back to Compress
  • copy the output
  • Ingame press Load -> Paste your text in the box (scroll down) and press Load File.
I found out the saves are just compressed with something called zlib so you can easily decompress / re-compress at any point.
This will also allow you to give yourself items and other things if you can find out their names.

Edit: If you find it difficult to see what values belong to what because it's one long string you can use an online json formatter to make it easier to deal with :giggle:
*sigh* Any cheats? Grinding is damn annoying.

It's been a great game so far! The writing's been excellent, the male character art's pretty good, and considering how new the game is the NPC content is great.

A few issues / questions:
1) I'm not sure if it's a bug, but I've noticed that my character's perception doesn't increase when it fails a test (the one prior to finding a base I think). It's currently stuck at 5.
2) Is there any another base I'm supposed to be able to access or is Auspice the only available station? If it is the only one right now, how many are you thinking of adding?
3) I just encountered the ITE faction, and I read that you added the missions in the patreon build. How many factions are you planning on adding to the game?

1) It's not a bug, the tutorial explains how stat check increases work (they're not guaranteed).
2) Auspice is the only one for now. Not sure how many new ports are coming yet!
3) Well there are two so far. Hard to give a definite number but... less than 10?

So the game completely online-only now? Or will there still be occasional downloadable versions?

Check the FAQ! :D
You say "Check the FAQ" but the FAQ just says check the site, which just auto-redirects to the online build of the game (litearlly; cloud10.io just redirects to cloud10.io/public). None of that is an actual answer to the question about if it is online only, unless you're trying to just be a dick and go "tada! That's all that the game is, now." without actually saying anything about it. There's no information on the Patreon page, either, unless it's hidden behind a patreon-exclusive update. I have no problems playing an old build offline, or just playing an online build, but the least you could do is just answer the question.

What the FAQ says is
Q) How do I download/install Cloud 10?
A) Cloud 10 is playable right on the site, in any modern browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Opera, Safari), on any device (Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android).

Q) What if I want to play offline?
A) Cloud 10 automatically downloads and installs itself into your browser. Try visiting the site while offline (after visiting it at least once).

Q) What if I prefer to have Cloud 10 on my desktop or app screen?
A) This image shows where the install option is in Chrome, but any supported browser will work. It might also start with “Add to… ” or “Pin to… ”. This creates a shortcut but like the browser version the files are on your device, so the game can be played offline.

Q) What about updates?
A) Cloud 10 works offline. But if you go online and an update is available, you’ll get an alert and new files will begin installing in the background. A second alert will tell you when they’re ready. This could take some time on slow connections, and until then you’ll still see the old version.

Q) Where does Cloud 10 install files?
A) It depends on the browser, but usually under AppData/Local.

Q) What if I want to look at the code or copy to an external device?
A) Right click this page and hit save. Please note that cloud loading and automatic self-updating will not work this way, or if you downloaded from a mirror.

Q) How do I play the Patron Build?
A) Please click the “Login with Patreon” button on the start screen. You might have to do it again once an update. To see what the Patron Build has, check the Patreon.
The part where it says to "Try visiting the site while offline" is telling you that the game downloads the content so that yes it can be played offline, you obviously need to be online to download the games updates but once they have installed it can be played without an internet connection.

Amariithynar The FAQ is on the site, yeah. You have to understand where I'm coming from. If I answered the question with "well the online version is also offline" you'd be like "wut". But by clicking the [FAQ] button there's a whole rundown explaining the why and how.

Now to be fair I could just copy and paste the FAQ every time someone asks but that kind of defeats the purpose of having one. Plus that information could change and I don't want to confuse newbies.

Or you could just put that information in the actual FAQ here on the front page which is supposed to have that sort of information to begin with, and remove the download links (especially since two of them are dead links, to boot) which give the impression that there's still a separate offline build. Not give a redirect to a redirect. If you're concerned about the information changing and not updating it, put a timestamp to it so people know when it was last updated and thus get a better idea of how likely things may have changed since then.

Oh I don't control those links, the mods do. They're actually the ones that put up the mirrors, and then someone reported them which is why they're dead now, lol. The one time I tried removing them a mod just put them back. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Anyway I uploaded an Anonfile.

All the information in the world, even that which is easily accessible to, means nothing to do those who are too lazy to look for it themselves. A lot of folks nowadays expect hand-outs from others instead of actually doing some of the legwork themselves, an effort that would probably save them more time than waiting for and replying to someone else. If they wanted to give you a direct answer, they would have, what happens is that people don't have the patience to keep parroting the same thing all day long. FAQs were made for everyone, not just for a select few. So this serves to foster the feeling you better rely on yourself rather than others to get results. Which is a good thing! If all else fails, then sure, ask away.

You say the FAQ is lacking but the answers to his two questions -ARE- there. The information there tells you how to install the game, how to update and how to play it offline - in your browser or desktop / app screen. The second question is relevant to those who want to play offline (while still using the browser). The third question tells you how to play the game in your desktop. Did you read that far? Or did you just stop reading after the part where it said to go off-site...?

"Is the game completely online now?" No. "Will there still be occasional downloadable versions?" Yes, but you (obviously) need internet connection to get them.
All of this can be deduced by reading the FAQ, hence why Noob Salad directed them there.

Ah, yes, because I want to add to my browser a widget for a porn game, so that anyone with casual knowledge of how to use Chrome can check my apps, or even click a button, and find out what kind of pervert I am that I like to get my guy spitroasted by musky furries...

It's not a widget and you don't need to add anything to your browser that isn't already there when you visit the site! :) Also the FAQ says you can right click > save and there's a .zip right there in the OP.

Well... do you?
