while trying the third costume i got caught while peeking but first time i played i didnt get caught while peeking i dont remember what i did
Nothing. It's random chance. Just reload few times till you don't get caught.
Those traits mentioned in post above matters when it comes to if she's going to show you one of the costumes. You need to have right trait for that to happen.

Just played through the game for the first time. Did the dev come out and confirm that Emily actually cheated?

cuz they way stuff is portrayed (intentionally being kept vague, gaps in MC memories), and how emily behaves towards the MC. It kind of feels like she didn't actually cheat in the most common sense of the word (maybe she cheated in a more emotional way, by doing something she and the mc agreed to, maybe because she applied to stanford?) or maybe im just being hopeful.

You have a point. There are gaps in the MC's memories for sure, which could mean that he's somehow misremembering events and now is convinced Emily cheated. If we can trust the memories we've seen, Emily has only specifically said that she did something "bad" (which she said a couple of times, in the opening to the game and then later when the MC sleeps in his dorm room). The almost "glitch" effect in transition in the second instance does seem odd, like somehow his memory is damaged or that he's subconsciously blocking out some information, leading him to his current conclusion.

While what you say is true, however, implying cheating also doesn't mean she didn't cheat in the literal sense. She said she was "vulnerable", which is often the emotional state of someone before they cheat. I'm not saying she did for sure, but clearly something happened that severely bothers the MC even still. The first set of phone responses in the game includes the actual word "cheated"; I don't think anyone would ever use "cheated" in reference to choosing a different college than that upon which a couple agreed. That's not a term used in that situation. But it definitely could mean something besides infidelity.

Hey guys!

College Kings keeps being one of the fastest growing adult games on Patreon due to your continued support. As we hit $5000 in monthly pledges, I'm able to drop out of University in order to pursue College Kings full time which is just incredible.

In this post I'd like to give you in-depth insights on what exactly happens behind the scenes.
Unlike a lot of other adult game creators, I have very little background in the creative side of game development. I didn't know much about photography, writing, rendering or animation previous to starting CK. However, I've always been quite passionate about building organisations that bring something creative into the world.

My goal is to make College Kings the most exciting adult visual novel to ever be created and it became very clear early on that I wouldn't be able to do this on my own.

I don't see this as simply a hobby, or a fun way to make some money. I believe College Kings can set new standards for adult visual novels. That's why almost all of the Patreon money goes directly into the game, not into my account.
So what does that look like?

First of all, my roommate Maro started helping me very early on and has taken over everything distribution related (Steam, Discord, Patreon, etc.). This allowed me to fully focus on the game development itself.

You also might have noticed a significant improvement in the writing for 0.6. That's because an experienced writer has taken over most of the dialogue writing. I come up with the plot, outline it to my writer and she creates the amazing dialogue that makes CK feel so realistic.

Turning dialogue into code with directions for rendering also takes a huge amount of time, that's why we recently hired a freelance transcriber directly from the discord community.

After I make final changes to the coded script, each scene is then turned into a document laying out each render by someone else and sent to one of our 4 very talented freelance & volunteer renderers.

For 0.6, I still did 60% of the rendering myself, but as College Kings grows, I can work with more freelancers and volunteers in order to make the monthly updates bigger and better.

Then there's new code, such as revamping the phone, adding new apps or creating special screens. All of this is now done by incredibly talented volunteer coders that are doing a much better job than I ever could.

All in all, version 0.7 will have been created by a total of 10 people, most of them freelancers or volunteers. And that's excluding the dozen beta testers that will make sure your experience is as bug free as possible.

If you're worried that the game will lose my initial vision, 0.6 should be evidence of the exact opposite. Due to working with a larger team so early on, I get to completely focus on creating an exciting story with lots of pathing and meaningful decisions, which is then refined by all of these brilliant individuals.

So that's why we care about Patreon so much, each pledge allows us to make College Kings a more exciting and innovative game, that pushes the boundaries of adult visual novels.

I know that most visual novel creators prefer to keep doing it by themselves, which limits their ability to push out large updates in a frequent manner. I'm here to tell you I will keep growing the team and do whatever it takes to make breathtaking updates at the rapid speed that you're used to.

Thank you for all of your support and I hope we can take adult visual novels to the next level together.

You're right choosing a different college might not equate to cheating for most people (and i don't think its the case in this game) i just used it as an example of the fact that anything that breaks the promises and agreements you make in a relationship can be considered cheating. for some people this might be texting other guys/girls, while for others the line isn't crossed unless full blown intercourse found place.

Also i feel like one of the most important themes in this game, is people not being who they appear to be. With chloe being the obvious example, but even nora, who might be just a very grounded loyal gal as opposed to the harsh and insulting bitch the mc meets. Lauren who appears as the innocent virgin LI, but also knows way more than she should (about emily) and even psychologically manipulates the MC at one point.

Just the fact that the devs haven't shown us a clear flashback of what happend, BEFORE giving us the choice as to how we judge Emily, just screams upcoming plottwist to me. Heck technically speaking we the players (in the form of a choice) are the very first ones to even mention "cheating". Also who cheats (regular version) then goes to their boyfriend at 2AM and says: "i did something bad".

On one hand im kind of want emily to have actually cheated. Because its a very interesting dynamic to have a character in a porn game who cheated on the mc and now you have the option to get back together or not. As long as the dev gives the option to take revenge in some way. Might i suggest fucking her sister Lol. On the other hand its definitely going to hit hard when a character you thought was bad and you mistreated for the majority of the game turns out to be innocent and misunderstood.

Someone who feels guilty about their cheating. A habitual cheater wouldn't feel bad, but it's extremely common for someone who's cheated the very first time (ever, not just on their current partner) to feel guilty about it. People's responses to their guilt are different, but there are people who confess and plead for clemency. I actually know a couple of such people IRL.

If this were just standard porn, no cheater would care. But as you've pointed out, this is a more thought-provoking and creative story, so I assume this won't be a standard porn trope to follow.

This type of thing is exactly why I have multiple playthroughs, each focusing on a different character. It often lets me see games from various perspectives, especially when many choices in one PT differ greatly from those in another PT.

i love the game so far, but my only question is, who come Lauren and her sister have very bland faces. like if you compare those two to everybody else they just look plain and boring, and not in the smart girl type of way. They're borderline ugly. Hopefully in the future they get better renders(imo) cause it sucks that the "good girls" arent that good looking, so its easy just to go with the others.
