I guess the dev got burned outWhat was the reason for being abandoned?
That's nothing...
Still dropping slowly, it was $169/m last I saw.
Well, success at first he deserved it now he has nothing, I think this dev simply suffered a writer's blockI think what pisses me off more then anything, is that there are so many devs who would kill for the early success that this game had. Devs who deserve it so much more then this person.
Or maybe decided to do what a few other devs do, milk the patrons with false promises etc, after all he's still bullshitting about the next update, has been for coming up to 3 years next month.Well, success at first he deserved it now he has nothing, I think this dev simply suffered a writer's block
Yeah, sure all devs are evil scammers, in fact they have their own league of villains where they plan how to scam people and laugh when their naive patrons fall for their lies.Or maybe decided to do what a few other devs do, milk the patrons with false promises etc, after all he's still bullshitting about the next update, has been for coming up to 3 years next month.
the dev says he wants to release chapter 3 this year but I wouldn't count on itIs the game comming back ?cz i want to try it although it's abandoned 3 years ago but there are activity in this thread .
Been saying that for the last 3 years, so yeah, wouldn't hold your breath, last ditch effort to bring in more cows to milk I guess, since they're running out of subscribers.the dev says he wants to release chapter 3 this year but I wouldn't count on it
Nah, only a few, lolYeah, sure all devs are evil scammers, in fact they have their own league of villains where they plan how to scam people and laugh when their naive patrons fall for their lies.
Don't think its writers block to many Devs pull this crap. Honestly I think it almost has more issues with scripting or just have a premise in mind and no idea how to do a middle and the end.Well, success at first he deserved it now he has nothing, I think this dev simply suffered a writer's block
Also not true, you can have an idea of where you're going and an ending but you gotta leave space in story for ideas you didn't think of yet. You evolve as creator too.Don't think its writers block to many Devs pull this crap. Seeing the lot of them also restart the whole thing as well while barely making any story progress. I's just the initial Fantasy but not the rest of it.
But do think if you gonna make a VN, make a story board of sorts plan things ahead. And if there is any community choice to be had focus on locations more than characters. Seeing fan favorites always gets chosen while other characters get ignored.
if fucking huge tv shows like the sopranos sometimes had no idea where to go and made fucking things up along the way, what do you think it's like for an amateur dev in their parents' basement? I do believe that the block exists linked to a lack of motivation, this is just a dev with his own mind, not a fucking big table of writers deciding thingsDon't think its writers block to many Devs pull this crap. I don't think he had a coding issue. He made little mini games with this drawing stuff... Perhaps he is scamming after his initial success or he had other real work to do who knows, who cares... If there are still people who believe that developers release an update after three years let them be that stupid and let them throw their money away. In the beginning I supported Darksilver but after a few months I noticed the shift in his development cycle and cut the support because he couldn't deliver. He cancelled his Big Brother project a few months later... But that's the problem with those projects...Don't think its writers block to many Devs pull this crap. Honestly I think it almost has more issues with scripting or just have a premise in mind and no idea how to do a middle and the end.
