Sooo did you take away the ability to give Alice flowers or something because otherwise I have no idea how to do it and she has been upset with me for 10 days now.

Apparently I am the weird guy here for liking the new art, and the whole faceless guy trope in trainers that made popular by a certain Harry Potter trainer game...but that is just me.
Old Alice looks too, how do I put this? Similar to Disney(TM) counterpart, and since a lot of character has gone through a redesign to fits this universe, why not?
Also apparently there is another artist change...how about leaving the existing art along and just made new ones from where the story moves on?
Like in there is a different art style on another planet, and just chuck it off as some planet effect...because if everything has to be redrawn when someone leaves the devs, this will takes forever.
But who am I to judge? ofc I will say that because I like the current design....

but the story of the first planet isn't even completed yet... is it?
haveing different art styles for the same part of the story seems at minimum inconsistent, in worst case a loose gathering of pictures from the web.
Also you'll likely have alot of fans of certain disney characters whom want their favorite girl to be the best possible.
And Alice applies to those loli lovers out there (just not in her current design)

I mean, sure consistent is important.
I've played too many developing games to get used to mid-development art shifts so maybe I just don't care much, hell there is a certain other trainer game (which I will not name) that just shifts art style mid-game while leaving the old ones in.

She definitely looks different than what Disney(TM) design her...

The original Alice Lidelle was at best 14 more likely 12 (or even younger, as the author is said to have been a lolicon himself) but you know the drill... "all characters depicted here are of legal age" (which means either 18 or 21 based on the region you live in).
If you are referring to those Holywood movies though that might be about right (not that they have anything in common with the original story aside of names though)

But this is clearly based on the Disney(TM) design, which depicted her as a teenager at least 17~18 yrs old, except for the current design apparently only I like.
Sure she is about the same age, but she also looks different enough from Disney(TM) design to avoid legal trouble...as if that will ever happen.
(Seriously though, there is one Avatar TLAB game get into one...and mass mainstream attention is totally something a porn game wants...)

Well Disney also made an animated movie of the original story, with a clearly underage Alice, yet much tamer than the novel was.
I am suspecting that you reffer to the Kingdom Hearts saga than (never played it, but it likely would fit)
The original Alice was actually more like eight or nine. Hopefully no one would want that in the context of this game.

Yeah seems about right, still the first design of Alice in this game was closer to that "innocent beauty" than the current one.
I can't relate that blonde (oversexualized) Bimbo, that she currently is to the innocence of Alice depicted in the Movie and Novel.
The change in her dress and the eyes are the main reason for that from my point of view

I think the new design is more of a "creative liberty" this new artist have, like what they do to the Queen of Hearts.
Can you imagine if she is like the original Disney(TM) design?
That won't appeal to anyone except a very specific group of people...not kink-shaming, but still.
I just think purely following the original Disney(TM) design is not a very good choice, some changes need to be made...but as you said, maybe not to the point of the current version.
(I still like it though, man I have problems, but anyone should know that from my avatar.)

I agree on the Queen of Hearts part... still comparing the first version of Alice with the source Material and than the current Version, I can't help but consider this a downgrade.
I don't really mind the hair or bodily structure that much either, but yeah eyes and dress were changed for the worse.
In the overall impression the first version outranks the latest in my opinion
Im not sure on this but when i click to ware a condom it doesn't put it on. Is anyone else having this issue or am i being dumb and not realizing its on?

It doesn't show...I assume.
I actually unpack the game's file and checked, there are no condoms show in any of the sex scenes.
So either it just doesn't show in pics because this is WIP (or they don't bother to add CGs with the condom), or the functions can be WIP all together.
Otherwise, I don't know. I always do raw creampies since I am a sick fuck with problems.
