Well, that depends on what you consider a "reward" and the player's perspective at the end i think. While any particular tag might be seen as a "reward" by some, that same tag is trash for others.
For example- lesbian is only a "reward" to those who are into that, most do not want to do anything with that even remotely in a harem oriented vn, even dialogues hinting at that would just turn away the players who do not like that, then it's just an utter trash to them as you said.
It boils down to a preference but there are degrees. If you are going the route as JoeTheMC84 mentioned above then i think you'll do mostly fine.

If it's player directed during a three-some then it can be alright, the girls are still yours and doing it for you

I wouldn't make any prostitute an LI. (personally I'd completely avoid it).

Unless it's MC only, AND they haven't prostituted to anyone else before. (Virgin prostitute would be interesting ngl).

It's honestly a tag that has no business on a harem game though if I am being honest. And certainly not being on an LI cause that's just veiled NTR at that point. (She's a prostitute... the do certain things).

If you include a prostitute as a LI, I want to avoid her, I have no interest in her. Nothing you say will make me interested in her. Unless it suddenly turns out that you say "she's not a prostitute and never has been," then I might be interested, or not, depending on how much I believe this second piece of information.

Other LIs I don't want in my harem are sluts, and here again, I don't care what information you're going to give us about them. The only option is to avoid them.

I think I get it when it comes to the punishing part. Either it takes time from making other content that would be "rewarding" or the reward feels like a loss when you don't get it. Like hollowing out a LI because of it or something like that. I try to avoid that but I also plan on making the rewards as "rewarding" as possible so it's a tricky one.

It might be my english that's bad or confusing but what I mean with it is lesbian content or any other optional content is heavily tied to the plot and not the other way around where the plot is heavily tied to for example lesbian content. If you choose an optional tag I want it to match properly and impact the plot. But if you don't choose it it's not going to be pushed on you or alluded to. In the case of lesbian content.

Not realy sure what to think of this game, the story in itself seemed interesting enough at first, but with that overview i was kind of expecting something a little more serious, and not a game were the mc is literaly talking to his dick most of the time...

At one point i just started skipping through dialog involving it , i realy felt like i was losing brain cells reading that, and the mc acting like a retarded horny teenager all the time for sure doesnt help to take the story seriously either.

If only this mc could have gained some brain cells instead of muscles ...

Edit : i tried to continue until the end of this update but honnestly it's just getting worst , mc's boss look like a hooker, two forced sex scenes in a row with two slut without any interaction prior the scenes, and even the excuse for the (forced) harem felt hilarious, definitly not a game for me ...

This is really good! Only small issues I see are some grammatical errors and the MC's body looks a little odd in some renders, but I'm pretty sure thats just because HS2 doesn't give much freedom for the male characters. Keeping an eye on this for sure

Our intro to the MC isn't very flattering. Acts weird, stares at girls. Gets distracted in his thoughts constantly. He doesn't read the contract and just signs his life away, which fine some people just don't worry about shit. But he then proceeds to worry about it like a pussy but is too embarrassed to back out. Gets sold on risky procedure just because it avoids needles.

I guess I don't really approve of him acting stupid and distracted just so the plot can advance without us asking the questions and getting the answers that anybody with two braincells would be doing in this situation.

It will depend on the reputation you build; you'll do 5 remakes of the game.
You'll upload content every 2 years.
People get really offended, so it's best not to take what most people tell you literally.
Others will never support you, but they'll tell you "HOW TO MAKE YOUR DAMN GAME" lol.
You have a thousand challenges ahead of you.
If I were you, I'd do the Triple Threat, and what's that?
1: Be consistent with updates, neither uploading one so long that desperate people get stressed, nor so short that others cry.
2: Ignoring the haters and those who tell you how to make your own game.
3: Be as transparent as possible. If you don't like how your own game is going or you see a personal problem, freeze your Patreon accounts and don't take advantage of people, or they'll blame you every day of your life. If you do a remake, let people have the option to vote on whether they want it or not, unless the game is in such bad shape that it's necessary. This makes those who really like your project stay and those who don't, leave.
There's much, much more, but this is the most concise summary I could read of all the developer issues I've seen.

After 2+ hours, im about to give up, its just a load of waffle of him talking nonsense to his dick and the dialogue between him and other characters is constantly interrupted with him talking to his dick or answering banal questions...NOTHING HAPPENS, the closest to anything happening was when he was doing yoga...honestly, this game has way too much blabbing, its a talking shop.

All the different characters so soon in the story has become confusing but i don't think its the characters that's the problem because i play other games with a lot of characters and i keep up with them, the problem is the constant lengthy interruptions of him talking to his dick distracting from the interesting bits making me forget the important bits and I'm now at the point where i don't what the fuck is going on.

Also the minute long animation at the beginning needs a skip option.

Reached the end of the prologue. Would say it contains spoilers but the picture in the original post reveals what im going to say.

There is an option to get a blowjob from a cute pink hair girl, after agreeing, she begins, then as she is doing it, as things are getting interesting with her, there is a knock at the door and she disappears...where too is a mystery. This character was cute enough to be an LI but for me, the idea of having an LI that sucks off a random stranger in a toilet cubicle and from her very brief dialogue who also does other things with random strangers just isn't my thing...personal preference.

Then after the interruption you end up on a couch in the exact same place you would be if you refused the blowjob. Why include the blowjob scene if its not going to be a full scene or lead to anything other than right back to the the couch, this brought nothing useful to the story. Then you are stuck with either wanking into the toilet (not shown) and going home or shagging some random woman who sits next to you and then going home but for me, after thinking, finally, some action and got built up with the pink hair girl, you just feel deflated and dissatisfied with the sex scene with the other woman.

This game has good animation, the penis is comically oversized but no real complaints with the art work but the story is a mess, convoluted with nonsense with choices that lead to no mans land.

It took about 4 hours to finish this and it was a struggle, all the important things are lost between the constant rambling with the penis. Whatever they are trying to to do with this game clearly went straight over my head.

I hate to think the kind of grind the sandbox element if introduced is going to be like after this slog to achieve the simplest little thing.
