This game has always been a game about the outbreak and building up the "universe" that we're playing in. The story has always had a focus on Ava. She's the most important character of the pair in this setting because of how I wrote it from the start. We are listening, which is why I split this chapter in two parts, so we can give some focus time on Sarah.

Doing a prequel wouldn't really work. The focus has always been about monsters - hence our name. And I don't see how we would accomplish that. However, Xutora and I have discussed some ideas for a sequel, and based on what we've discussed for the story, it would focus more on Sarah and introduce some new characters as well.

This has come up before. My hesitation doing something like this means less progress on the sequel. We'll have to see where we're at when we finish.

Tbh, Ava (so far) comes across as the main character in the same way Ashley comes across as the main character of RE4. Having tuned in for the character that slots into the "survival horror main character" archetype, it can become a little tiring to keep fixating so much on the babysittee, especially when the last chapter appeared to wrap up the "corruption" angle for the villain to shift their attention to someone else from.

In four episodes, Sarah has had two scenes. There comes across a minor feeling of a very, very, very heavy bias towards one character over the other.

Damn you guys are doing it for the plot i see. But a game that takes place before the main game doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a prequel, it could just be a game to bless us Sarah fans.

And who said it can’t have any monsters? What about BBC monsters? or Sarah goes on a trip or ghost hunting with a bunch of friends. They talk about some haunted house or ghost rumor and encounter them, which turn out to be monsters, but none of them know. You can add ENF pretty easily, like having the monsters steal her clothes while she’s showering, or trip her and tear her clothes, etc.

It was incredible when Sarah got taken by everyone there with rejections and in the end she loved it... And yeah, with some good tentacles that would be cool too, even a scene between sisters.

I think devs should keep their focus on the monster/resident evil vibe stuff for their futures games.
And not to put all the focus on one of the characters and even do a standalone game for it.

And playing a prequel with the knowing what will happen in the future… dunno.

Right now our focus is this game. I don't want to commit to anything other than this one. But...

We have two ideas for our next games:

1. is Contagion Crisis 2 which will follow this game. It will involve Sarah and Ava again but like I said above, it will focus more on Sarah while Ava will still be in it.

2. A sci-fi dating sim/VN we're calling Xenowrangler where you play as a female scientist who goes to an alien planet and "obtains" samples from various aliens to use for a pharmaceutical company. It will also have a cast of employees that you can choose to romance or not. I'm trying to decide if it would be more RPGm game or more of a sandbox VN game. Not sure the complexities of either but haven't done much research because this is a far off thing.
