Welcome to the crux of why this game attracts so much criticism

Personally, I think, that in order to make a hard unavoidable NTR scenario, the dev ended up taking way too many liberties. Like he was sublty setting up the couple to fail from the beginning so players won't feel so bad about the imminent collapse of the relationship. The wife being a "smart agent" fell for classic trap of trusting a guy who clearly has a messy history with her husband's family. And the husband himself lacks alpha traits with his history painted as "a loser son of a loser father whose wife didn't love him at all".

But, I guess what irks me the most is that we are supposed to believe that there is still a redemption path here. Like somehow, even through all the BS, we're supposed to see a future where both of them get through this together and then live happily ever after. While not out of the realm of possibility, the only way that'd happen would be for the MMC to let all be forgiven unconditionally. Which would only dilute his personality further after what the wife put him through.

It could have worked better if there was avoidable NTR with elements of "opportunity". Based on player action, the couple would either traverse the web of lies and deceit and have more faith in each other, or not? Then yes, this would be an interesting multi path game. But, not in the current state. In the current state, we're pigeon holed into a story that, frankly, I'm not even sure where it is going.

The point is that this scene appears too early in this version.
It simply declares to the reader that MC's wife is a common whore and not a loving wife, and completely negates all the work to create atmosphere,

I assume this is a mistake in the previous build, and if not, this VN has no future.

Well since the game is abandoned, I see no harm in sharing a small scene overview which I had written tothe dev to be implemented in future. Hope you guys have fun reading and imagining the scenario.
