the thing I don't understand is why you almost always have to re-download everything when an update comes out. why is nobody offering patch/update downloads that only contain the new additions? especially for a game like this that is quite linear, it should work fine. this way even people with slow internet or data caps wouldn't have to sacrifice quality. at least on the desktop not sure about mobile.

I play five or six games at the same time. One at a time is not enough for me. The goal of the game, from my point of view, is not the perfection of the image. It's just a nice addition. In my opinion, the most valuable thing in the game is the plot, its development and the staging of the gameplay. If the game takes you away, then the goal has been achieved.

Despite what others (as well as the developer) are saying, the progression doesn't seem that fast to me. There are no sex scenes in v0.3 aside from a couple of blowjobs. Progression seems to be just right for this game.

I currently have like 20 games on my watch/playlist. For me the visual part of a visual novel is important.
And I'm also not saying it has to be perfect. But since this game has some genuinely cute characters sabotaging visual quality just keep filesize small fells like a disservice. For you, the visual quality isn't that important and that is fine but for me any many others it isn't. Nevertheless, I'm sure there is a happy medium that can be found.

WebP images are very small anyway, don't really see the point in 2 versions, WebP is comparable quality to the original JPG files, not really any need to compress the game itself, will be a long while before the game's filesize would warrant needing to do that.
The main reason the images are not great is cos of the potato PC he has been making the game on.

So, I played the latest version only but read the entire thread. I think one can see that there were quite a few improvements made by the dev.
I liked it, yes, the pace is fast and some actions by characters are a bit borderline. But there's nothing that is entirely unrealistic. For example, my ex had a friend the same age, at the time they were both 24. The friend didn't have a relationship ever and wanted to learn more about things. For some reason my gf decided that she can show her porn so she gets an idea. Her reaction "What? You take it in the mouth?" when she saw a blowjob. My gf was baffled, because they watched show like Friends together and there are many jokes about stuff like that were both of them laughed. But the friend had no clue about it. At 24. Very sheltered and naive. The friend sister was a bit younger but was normal in that regards. Had boyfriends and such. So it wasn't the parents fault.
And some people with abuse background can be a bit to trusting to nice people, sadly.
Anyway, the game was fun and I liked the humor. Especially when the daughter was talking to the cousin about the blowjob that she saw and the mom was embarrassed and wanted to disappear.
Besides, the dev explained his reasoning well and when one pays attention you can see the learning curve! He has a lot of potential.
I'm looking forward to more updates!

The game is fun and I really enjoyed the story. I look forward to more. As an added bonus, the MC's dick reminded me that I needed to check the charge on all my fire extinguishers. Not only is it a great game but potentially life saving as well. Turns out I had a couple that needed replacing.

Lonely Single Mom, Bratty Daughter looking for a father figure, Innocent Daughter desperate for a kind daddy. Idc how many times I see this formula, I'm in. Plus you don't see too many step-father VNs; Nice change up. I also like that it has some mystery element between MC and Katie. I hope they are long lost siblings, would be SICK! Can't wait til the next update, keep it up man!

Well most incest VNs have this trope. But they usually do it with a brother/cousin figure. I kind of outgrew the milf stage, so I'm more into daughters/nieces now. Like Michael Jackson, PYT. Lol. I was working on a script for a similar step-father story, but it was a bratty tomboy daughter who at first hates mc but they grow closer. Not as fast as this game (lol) but similar story arc. 16-18yrs.
I'm just happy this game is doing the Father/daughter route and isn't sitting the bed like some others I've seen.
