Well my standards are typically low enough, i played coc2 when it was in beta and figured "the game has problems but im sure it'll get fixed in the future." Five years later and 30k added to their budget and the game is still an unfinished mess.

When I first heard of the whole Hirrud thing I thought HiredGun stalked Savin relentlessly on the Fen Forums to call him a cuck. Apparently he mostly called Cait a whore (she literally is btw it's part of her religion) and called everyone who likes her a cuck. And that all sounds like bait to me.

While I don't disagree that the corruption content in CoC2 is sorely lacking I don't think adding pedo and guro content is the answer.

Well by definition its an amazing answer + as i said before there is no reason for a mod like that to NOT exist and savin being a pretentious cuck(didnt know these 2 words can go together but here we are) and preaching his moral superiority(Which is illogical because of his previous actions,good example being caits whole thing).While some may find such material distasful or outright psycopathic(Which i dont consider it so cause its fiction but lets not get out of topic here) there are workarounds to this that wont affect the players that WANT this level of corruption and for the players that DONT.We again do a full circle and go back to savin being a helpless coomer that values his miniscule control over a futa furry game so much that he is willing to become a laughing stock in so many ways that it makes even me slightly pity him.(Mind you i am not saying this because i want to do an epic roast on savin or because i want to ridicule him.I am just saying it as it is,because judging from his past and currect actions and behaviors thats what he is.Just a disclaimer for anyone that tries to preach ad hominem on my ass lma)
Ahh, thank you, I quite literally never ran into that scene but I also think when I finally really played CoC and knew a bit how to progress the story I was already on UE and then went to Xianxia afterwards, but I'm not entirely sure.
From what you describe though I understand the dislike for that scene & also why it would lead to people disliking Urta in general.
It's basically similar to what happens with Kat, but 10x worse, because there at least you can tell Urta to fuck off I think, which removes her from the game as well, but that's more on her.
My biggest gripe with Urta is how buggy her content is, turning her into the player characters SO after just 1 scene (sometimes) and at other times it doesn't properly progress.
Also so far I think I like HGG, didn't notice too many differences but it's cool that the clinic in Tel'Adre is accessible right from the start & I like the talents I'm seeing, even if I can't pick many yet.
Don't think I've seen anything new in regards to lewd content though, but that might as well be my content settings.
The problem is that it deviates so hard from the established content you'd have to devote an insane amount of dev time to accomidate it or handwave the consequences which kind of defeats the purpose. Would anyone in the existing cities actually work with a child raping cannibal, probably not. So now you need to either create new hub areas from scratch or completely rewrite the existing areas to explain that problem away through the champ enacting a hostile takeover and appointing new merchants. But if the champ has this much power already it begs the question of why they're arriving as an unknown threat,you need to build up to that point which means even more writing in transitional phases for areas as they move from working with you happily to hating your guts. You'd also need to probably rewrite the main story since you'd rapidly eclipse Kas as a primary threat. Hence why going for content this extreme is always something done as the primary focus of the game or not at all, see things like LonaRPG where the whole world is built around making this kind of thing possible.
And that's ignoring the simple fact that patreon doesn't allow underage content and guro is so devisive you basically have to pick between courting the guro crowd and literally everyone else.

Nah thats no problem at all.Skyrim has mods that make the game something completely different from what its supposed to be for example.Savin and co could in fact just completely ignore the modding community and let them go blow themselves up with whatever weird shit they wish to write since THEY are doing all the work(writing the scenes they want and tampering with this god awful code).The OG game and coc2 mod ver can be(and would if savin and co werent savin and co) 2 completely different communities with different people.If savin or any other writer doesnt want to write/code whatever crazy shit anon wants to add to the game then so be it.They dont have to do it.The 2 communities can be 2 completely seperate things and could just simply not interact with one another.I really dont see where the problem is other that savin and Co ego being inflated.
Essentially what i wanna say is that since anons from around the world are doing ALL the work(cough cough not like that doesnt happen with the OG fen games) there is NO argument against modding other than pitiful attempts to protect their inflated ego.

That's not corruption. That's a gaggle of nonsense that's being confused with corruption because of how counter it is to the views of the majority of people who play this game.
Unless you're on the spectrum of flavor that you somehow get off on guro(and mind you I'm not ordinarily one to kink shame but even I've got my limits), their exclusion should be considered common sense. If you want corruption like in CoC1 then talk about the corruption that's IN CoC1. Not some of the less ideal edgy repulsive stuff added thanks to the open source nature of the (virtually now defunct) modding community.
Even the thought of adding a harsher edge then what already exists is ludicrous. CoC1 absolutely flirted with that line (specifically corrupt Sheila's 1 god awful scene) but generally remained a game that somebody could reasonably find arrousing. Adding a bunch of murder and other non erotic nonsense 'just cause' is ridiculous. And it's counterproductive to any real discussion when the point being brought forward is
"hey this game with a sequel that was NEVER that extreme, is now that extreme."
