There should be no problem in loading past saves.
I'm just irritated in the sense that the writing seems to force me to be an actual character. You can have your character do or say or think things that you wouldn't normally wouldn't. Made especially more annoying by Tobs not taking into account that the player can have different traits that would make his writing need to be changed to fit them. Like one of my favorite being that whenever tobs writes sex scenes you're usually an amazing lover even if you say, have a 3 inch dick or a ginormous dick that could pierce the colon.
With the kitsune though, I'd say the writing just made me annoyed because I feel it's just clunky. The writing is meandering and just prattles on. I don't really have an issue with the Japan theme, but boy does Tobs just bite off more than he can chew. Because at best it adds some interesting flavor to some scenes, but the rest of the time is honestly cringe or boring.
That is almost every writer. Every writer writes us with specific characteristics in mind. Those being:
We are good at sex no matter the circumstances.
We are "smooth talker" that has a "witty" remarks for every occasion.
We are not allowed to kill anything that is not corrupted beyond repair.
We care for anyone that we can knock up/can knock us up.
Those are characteristics we follow almost always. Now , because of how this game is written, where every character is specific sex scene and fetish in itself, how our character acts inside of them usually varies. But most of the time, in cases where you are one fucking, you are usually dominant, and when you are taking it, you are submissive.
Now explain to me how our character is any different when Tobs is writing them. The only thing really different about his way of writing is how kitsune do not treat us as best thing since slice bread. Which, while I do find breath of fresh air, I can see how it can be annoying. Still, you are being way to vague since you really are not giving examples, like Atomic did, to back up your points.
I like how Tobs' kitsune are like the deadhorse of this entire thread. Every 20 pages or so someone lights a fire again and the collective shitting and defending of Tobs begins.
This is like, the 5th time I see the exact same arguments now? It's a very divisive topic, but not for the right reasons. You can simply avoid content you don't like like Evelyn for example, but many people like the fox girl but hate everything surrounding her. That's just bad design.
I find it fun. It is nice to talk to people here about a topic, even if it is repeating one. Since it is better then just accepting everything that developer/writer does.
And it is not as divisive as you think it is. Most people like characters such as Rindo, Imagine and twins. Most people just do not have strong opinions on there society one way or another. A lot of people wish that other writers would implement some form of interactions with your children like tobs did. The character that most people here complain about such as Nakono are disliked here, on forums and by his grandmother. But the character that most people do not give shit about is not written by Tobs, but by Bubbles. So that one is not on him.
People that complain here are small minority.And most of the time, they are making a mess of things because of there speed reading. Like the person that complained about not being more loved once he turned into Kitsune. Not knowing difference between respect and admiration.
