He was just being a dick and wanted the mum to rape the daughter, plus I am pretty sure once you wrapped up helping him he was gonna turn the daughter into a brainless broodhare too. Been a bit but it just sticks out to me how much of an asshole that rabbit was, even amongst the antagonist in that game. Oh and the wiki is still up. Lagon was a real asshole and I forgot Ophelia had a brother from the quest.

Didn't Marethian mages do that as well? I vaguely remember the librarian in Tel'Adre (or was it some warlock/wizard lady at the bar? I can't remember) saying that the Mages screwed around with portals too that's why they got corrupted with powers that led to the demonic invasion. But they didn't get the Savarran equivalent of the Godswar.

Lagon was the type of character that is so despicable that they're utilised as the only character that you can murder with no problems in a competent game. IIRC the pay off was that he just gets drugged and raped, literally faces no other punishment. At least the Orc Chieftain in this gets exiled and replaced, Lagon gets off scot free comparatively.
Different situation.
Mareths situation is that it's a rat trap: portals go in, none go out. The wizards there tried to get out after coming to Mareth from elsewhere.
They created a process to give themselves more power by crystallizing their souls, and planned to use that power to fuel their efforts to leave Mareth. And that's basically how they turned themselves into demons.
The portals themselves didn't do anything to Mareth as far as I know. The wizards never successfully got anywhere iirc...until Kas made it out.
Is anyone else having problems with the save editor? Every time i load a save it just softlocks on the first frame.

wasnt there a ring like that in some furry game so you could actually fail combat and see the defeat scenes?
CoC2 just seems like an odd game, I generally wonder what their Business Model or even Customer-Relationship Management is. Likewise I also wonder why Wsan seems to be one of the only writers (unless I'm forgetting someone) to be customer-focused in his writing (although there are of course things he could improve). Some of the other writers seem to outright hate or be spiteful towards the customers. It's just very odd.

That's what happens when you have no competition I guess. Its closest peers as erotic text-based games are Trials in Tainted Space, Lilith's Throne, and Monster Girl Dreams. Lilith's Throne and MGD have glacial update rates that most of its fandom just move on to other games (Though at least MGD has mods to keep it on life support). TiTS is just CoC2's slower to update Sci-Fi flavored sister game. So overall they got the market cornered. And if they're the only one selling stuff people like they can petty much act like asshats and most will tolerate it.

Lilith's Throne is such an extreme mess that the game is unplayable by hour 2 due to the fact that it saves and checks for every single randomly generated NPC you ever encountered and the kids you might have and many other really terrible decisions.
MGD is just hilarious. Thresh just constantly burns out and adds nothing to the game for an entire year. Comes in, does a pity update, everyone is happy again.

For serious, though, at this point I'd kill for some fucked up burrow shit. These content updates are kind of starting to feel tacked-on. There's. like, a new "thing" every once in a while, and the devs seemingly forget about everything else. There's so much shit that's only half-finished, with no indication of whether it's ever going to be finished, yet the new stuff somehow always manages to feel same-same.
I mean, it's nice to get more shark stuff, but here I am, alpha of the shark people. Cool, I'm also Chief Big Balls of the orcs and the bitchbreaker general of the Centaur village (remember that?), and probably lord commander of a bunch of other stuff that I can't be bothered to remember right now. Man, if you've only got a few good ideas, fine. Just try to make the game deep, if you can, not wide. At this point, it's almost like we're getting the illusion of content, you know? It's new content, but it's really just putting a fresh coat of paint on something that already exists.

I certainly know he created that NPC who was a shot at people who wanted Helspawn incest content.
MGD at least doesn't hate its audience like CoC 2 does. It does really well at telling you what you're about to get into with the various monster girl routes.
Wouldn't surprise me. Lot of H games give you an item so you can lose easier.
