I mean if you wanna memory hole a number of comments here well not shocked since the last stupid reply you sent me lol. nothing i said was wrong lol both games are pretty mid when you look at them. I give you player freedom and some choices having some effects but lets be real a number of those transformations where under cooked well atleast some added to combat but whatever.
Only a handful of games allow player transformation to begin with. And even less allow to deviate from generic humanoid. What other game lets you turn into a naga, or a drider, or a centaur, or a bunch of tentacles.
CoC1's transformation system is one of the most extensive, fleshed out and creative systems I have ever seen.

The player agency, the choices that sometimes lead to wildly different outcomes, vast interactions with the camp followers.
The titular Corruption actually being at the center stage.

The combat was good. Not great, but better than most other porn games.

World actually adjusting to the outcomes of the quests and cleared dungeons.
The endings, however rushed, are still there. There is a finality to it all.

You are actually a lunatic for denying all of that. Go have a therapy or something. :KEK:

the only issue would be that, should the weapon be "drop replaced" or should its stats change via a set of flags.

Eg should it be removed from inventory and the modified version "given" to the player, or should the item be modified in place.
The same as with the captain's sword. Again it doesn't have to be that complicated. It's like right in your face, the perfect opportunity at the perfect time and no one uses it.

You're on an ancient dragon island in a dragon forge with a hammer to make dragon weapons, a golem that specializes in forging dragon weapons, and a weapon with a dragon's soul inside. It's like someone shaking their tits in your face and you can't touch them.
