In the options you can set the difficulty to lower, which is what any sane person does because you have to be literally broken in the head to play a porn game with gameplay this bad for the gameplay
No shit sherlock, still this game design is CRAZY as even in Story Difficulty sometimes it bugs out and enemies do way more damage than they should, not taking any chances, either level 7 or skip (also as you put it,this update ain't even worth commenting on)
Normal is still playable if they fix the goddamn jank on the enemies.
Her creator Savin is weird, he can't really decide if he wants Cait to be a Waifu or a whore so he tries to make her both. The game is trying to push you and Cait together, but whenever you interact with her, it comes off more as a prostitute claiming that you're her best client. You'll always be one of the many dudes in her life. One of her confirmed upcoming scenes is her getting gangbanged by a group of minotaur and ingesting so much of their cum she gets fatter. And if what Salwah says is legit, if you ever get the chance to marry her it's going to involve both of you two getting gangbanged while holding each other's hands. Remember the age old saying "you can't turn a whore into a housewife" when dealing with Cait.

Adding, you'd think this would be an opportunity to corrupt or purify Cait. Like if you want her to be a waifu, you restrict her to just pleasing you kinda like what we do with Ryn, or if you want her to be more of a whore then use her as a get out of jail free card for defeats or portable pocket pussy when negotiating with other npcs.
I just realized that I'm a fucking retard as I complained about having to deal with the annoying endless mobs in the new zone and not once thought to just lower the difficulty. Goodbye pointless tedium

In my opinion it is not being retarded for me it is a matter of pride and dignity because it cannot be that being level 6 with a good set of skills just by entering the fight they already killed you O-O
It'd be interesting, but I think Savin said that corrupting Cait is a never ever. The only companion(s) that will have a corruption path is Brienne. It's a coin-flip whether or not Ryn will give in and be a demon like her sister. With Alypia taking the reigns I think it's leading towards a no. The rest of the companions are uncertain/unannounced except for Kiyoko. Lorewise Kitsune can't be corrupted because they don't have soul so that's feasibly never happening either.
Then Savin is a terrible writer that's too married to his OCs. The game would probably be leagues better if the writers, who were too married to their OCs, took a Game of Thrones approach IE don't get too married to a given character and let things happen how they should. Given the devs seem to be aiming for a middle ground between H and a novel at this point.
At least they were kind enough to give permission for others to take up their characters. One of the problems with the original CoC was that characters, some of them very interesting, were left with narrative dead ends because their writer left and apparently didn't want anyone else to touch the writing.
Wsan is the only writer left that i like now.
Fenoxo is very adamant on respecting writer wishes on their characters because he didn't want to scare away any potential writers with a whole "I'll take your hard work and do whatever I want" people will not want to write for your game for free without at least some respect for OC creations. But like you said its also why there's a list a mile long of npcs with next to zero content or just straight up abandoned half way through a questline.
