The transformations were scaled back because it was too difficult for the team to track them. They also removed at least one transformation because the writers weren't writing enough content for it.
That sucks, but its understandable, in CoC 1 there was "genderless" thing and i can see how it can be annoying writing around it.
I like playing as big races and since you can start as an orc its less of a big deal i guess, i hope there is some stuff like "cunt snake" or some cool parasite atleast, encounters like those are super fun imo and i enjoyed them alot in TiTS so far.

This might a very weird that that will result in people here telling me to touch grass, but honestly, looking at CoC2 under the lens of being a massive pervert who can probably explain most tags on nhentai, I kinda think... it's a very normal game, fetish wise? It's not the most normal, obviously - that goes to all Vanilla/NTR/Drama/Wish-fulfillment stories that rarely touch obscure fetishes. But CoC2 is basically a bog-standard fantasy setting where there is a bunch of strong women with massive cocks and horsecocks and you can plap plap plap to get them pregnant preganate gregnant. To me - it's basically what happens when some nerd gets very horny during their DnD session and makes a game based on that. Sure, they are other, more obscure fetishes from time to them, but they are an exception.
I feel like that's a very good description for CoC2 to be honest. Too weird for the vanilla, too vanilla for the weird and it probably drew much from a certain someone's DnD sessions.

I don't mind it not being for me but it's a bit disappointing that it couldn't find a good spot with anyone besides backers and devs. It just could've gone to either side more, I guess.

There's 1300+ positive reviews on Steam, which is quite a bit for a porn game of any kind, let alone a furry text based porn game.

Don't mistake the sentiment around here for the sentiment towards the game in general. Perspective is important if you want to understand why this game has the leeway to keep doing what it's doing.

For whatever reasons, it has found a good spot.

The problem with your assertion is that the game is free.
You must buy it on steam to give a review.

That is, the process of leaving a negative review on steam is:
1. download the free game.
2. play the free game.
3. hate the free game
4. decide that you hate it
5. decide that hate makes it worth paying real money for the privilage of giving them a negative review. Both in terms of you spending that money, and the dev receiving that money.
6. pay and leave the negative review.

Realistically... people giving it a negative review on steam either got it as a gift.
Or initially liked it enough to donate but then changed their mind.
Or were somehow ignorant over the fact that the game is free and the steam purchase is just a means of receiving donations.

Nah, that's not how it goes at all.

Practically nobody on Steam knows these games are free. That's the whole point of putting these games on Steam: Steam has an audience millions of times bigger than a random porn site. The vast, vast majority of players saw it and bought it on Steam and know about nothing else, like every other game, porn or otherwise, on Steam.

For context, a month after it came out, it hit 16000 sales. That's over triple the amount of patrons that existed at that point. And that was 4 years ago.

...No? I'll just list off a bunch that have more reviews.
Peeping Dorm Manager - 2.3k reviews
Flipwitch - 2.1k reviews
Being a Dik - 10k reviews
Freshwomen - 13k reviews
Carnal Instinct - 3k reviews
Seed of the dead 2.5k reviews
Koikatsu - 5k reviews
Orc Massage - 6k reviews (Goated game, development pace is dogshit tho)
Karryn's Prison - 2.9k reviews
Mirror - 75k reviews

You get the point. I would also argue that a ton of steam reviews are just patreon supporters buying the game and reviewing it so that muddies the water a lot. Combine that with the fact that steam reviews on porn games rarely actually have anything useful to say(applies to most steam reviews in general), it's not reliable to use them as a metric for how good the game is.

What does in general even mean? The only people who really care about this game, let alone have anything to say about it, are the people in this forum and backers/discord. They're both biased, but at least here you can get an opinion that isn't just mindless gushing/hateboner.

There are hundreds, if not thousands of porn games on Steam with reviews barely in the double digits. I didn't say it had the most, I said it had quite a bit for a porn game.

I read porn game reviews on Steam for fun, and most have nowhere near 1000.

Well...we weren't at all discussing how good the game was. Thats not in question. We were discussing if there was an audience that liked its current form. Which there is.

And even if they were "muddying the waters", which isnt something thats at all provable...it doesn't matter for this discussion. If 70% of the positive reviews were backers (and thats probably a ridiculos amount) the remainder would still be significantly more positive than negative.

That's not in question either, the backers are the audience that like it. That's... kind of obvious. There's an audience for just about everything you can think of.

The correlation of old steam reviews judging whether or not the game has a current audience is also something that isn't provable.

The statement that I responded to suggested that it didn't find a non backer audience. I'm pointing out where there is the biggest source of opinions towards the game by volume, largely positive. If you have issue with the initial premise, take it up with the other guy.

Well, recent steam reviews are also positive.

Regardless, for the sake of this discussion, it's a valid source of information. It's not like much has changed since then. A large amount of the positive reviews, for instance, are gushing about stuff like Kinu, Kiyoko, amd Tobs writing.

Many people here didn't pay for the game, it's a pirate site after all. So at the very least their judgement isn't stained with sunk cost fallacy.
Oh, i'm was more talking about the fact that this site is just more "coomer" then others simply because its more obscure and it was a joke.
But i kinda agree, people on patreon tend to suck author off simply because there is a chance they will reply to their comment or somethin, on the other hand if you actually pay for the game you probably like it alot more and are invested, so its hardly a stretch for you to support it verbally too.
