We have too many romancable enemies
Do we?
Kas, Vasha, Gytha, Meria and...?
What's happening with Alissa can't exactly be called anything approximating a romance.
If you really stretch the meaning than Kurako. Maybe.

Would more encounters fix this? You already enter a fight every 2-4 steps. Given the track record it'd be another rape gang that sodomizes you.

I'm not asking for more frequent encounters. I'm asking for encounters that feel more threatening. The whole reason why I mention the lupine dungeon so much was because the generic encounter with them felt like it had real consequences (minus the priest swooping in and saving you randomly,) or the early encounter with the corrupted centaurs, or monsters like the behemoth, or even that one corrupted minotaur in that one quest and more things like that. although I will say I was just venting when I was mentioning the romancing enemies, I really meant like the types that felt more soft.

I would also love to explore areas like the breeding pits that the blood knight mentioned. Or have an encounter with more monstrous enemies. It's literally a fantasy world that somehow feels like it has way less variety than TiTS (Edit: it would also be nice if you had special enemy encounters when you explored specific areas in the world, or little pocket areas you can enter for small dungeons that didn't need a complex plot. Just leads and a battle or two. If I was capable and in a position to do so I would love to include such things.

Only way I would care about venturing into such dangerous encounters was if they started writing champ as actually strong and competent. Like the champ from the original. I couldn't imagine coc2 champ soloing the damn succubus from the beginning of the demon factory, let alone clearing the place.

But thats the magical thing. these place would have:no important plot. They would be entirely option plots. Literal side content where to Mc can be whatever they want to be :). Weak in the main plot, strong in the side content. Some of these fights would be something you would come back to do later anyways if you were too weak.

A strong PC's a power fantasy, apparently.

That takes world and game design into account, something the lead dev doesn't care about, I'd honestly want world and culture building form these guys but that's something they don't understand. Skyrim had the right idea, we're not getting another gem like tht again.

We just need to port CoC into Skyrim. Or Skyrim into CoC. :Kappa:

Well looking at the comments about the Azzy situation. I've come to a shocking conclusion! These people were writing crap for themselves over the players... shocking, gasp, I know, I know. But man I'm glad I didn't go through that. Actually warmed up to Azzy after them tender moments. Would've been irritated seeing that ham-fisted shit. I've never seen a game with so much sideline and backdoor (ha!) self-insertion. But there is a part of me that wants to redownload the game. Just to experience this asshattery 1st hand.
To be fair as someone who plays a FemChamp the Lia/Azzy situation never bothered me. My champ already has Bri/Gia and Bri/Azzy threesomes so jumping into a Lia/Azzy thruple didn't seem out of place.

To be fair, the Champ started out as a bumbling (tricked) fool who more lucked their way into being processed into the world by an even bigger bumbling idiot. Also Excalibur just lying around because nobody is pure enough to wield it.

I used to joke with my friends about how whacky the champs journey has been:
  • Doing donuts around the lake as you pass by the same people whilst you aimlessly meander about
  • Rescue an ant solely because there are demons to fight
  • In the desert having extremely weird sex with an androgynous sand trap.
  • Beating up a bunch of women to steal their books
  • How do I shut this place down? Ah, I'll just smash it all up so nobody can use it anymore.
Even when you're pure you're still kind of an unpredictable force of nature and general maelstrom of chaos that directly imprints your will on the world by a combination of sheer force of charisma and arms.

I really meant like the types that felt more soft.
I get ya. There are indeed not that many random encounters where the stake is more than your ass.
They're all stuck in the dungeons. And goodness does the champ get it bad in the dungeons.

The MC gets

Goodness. I'd rather be vaporized when compared to how bad the champ gets it.

But, yeah. I get your point.

The difference of CoC and CoC2 is the consequences and variety of choices. In CoC you can purify or corrupt a goddess, corrupt a monk, become enemies or allies with the sand coven, you can impregnate a princess, and PC corruption does matter. In the end, you can become Lethicite's consort, purify the land, become the new demon monarch, or go back to your world and become the new ruler there. You can even burn a whole owca city. In CoC 2, your options doesn't matter, corrupt paths get shafted, you can't corrupt NPCs, you can't even grow a vagina on the elf waifu (she will cuck you if you don't let her fuck your pussy or ass), the main companion will constantly cuck you, the gods are pricks, you constantly getting overshadowed by your NPCs, the PC corruption only results in getting text changes, gangbanged by imps, and groping Cait. You can't convince me CoC 2 is better, no one can. I do like TITS though, it's better than CoC 2 for sure. You can play as a nice hero or a greedy businessperson there. And it's fun.

I feel like NPCs overshadowing the MC and not really being corruptible/ influencable outside of sub/dom dynamics is because of them being essentially commision pieces placed into the game, with their original creators having the final say in what can and cannot be done to them. And a loooooooot of them are against any kind of meddling with their concepts or corrupting them

Even for TiTs its lame as well, u don't really get to roleplay either. Consequences are majorly lacking if any, there is no motivation to follow-through, and the story meanders a lot even by COC standards.

I can blow up two planets
Now you may ask, "why would you possibly ever blow up two different planets".
And I'll respond to you;
