• Etheryn has a new set — the Warrior Queen — with an intro event written by Alypia. Unlocking it requires having defeated Alissa (part 2) and having finished Lumia’s quest. This will unlock an event upon entering the Wayfort a day after both are completed (or a day after loading a save where both are already done).

Tobs fucked up by not letting us act like a proper parent and there's a lot of hate towards the foxes because of that. And then there's people asking for shit like incest, despite it being something vile, and hating him because of that.

The hatred towards foxes is a combination of Tobs writing sucking major ass combined with him larping as some japanese scholar, when in reality his only area of expertise seems to be Princess Maker games. There's also his obsession with voyeurism, which seems to extend to his daughter character, probably a side effect from playing too many of the aforementioned games. We've avoided direct incest, but now we just have people jerking it to the idea of their daughter getting railed by fox sasuke or the farmer. Very healthy behaviour.

Pornography can and will mess up with your brain. I doubt most kids and young adolescents first interest in it has any relation to incest, unless they live a very strict life and some day the dam just collapses.

That's not how fetishes or interests form in adolescence. As long as something happens which makes you associate a thing with sex during that time period, a fetish for that thing will inevitably follow. That's why there're more common and less common fetishes, some things are more easily associable with sex than others. RL incest is rare enough because we're not designed to become sexually attracted to the relatives we grow up with, but socially taboo enough to find pleasure in simulating it.

so semi honest question: how many ways can you seporate the game with how "broken" it lore seems to be?

for me i can say that the whole kitsune part feels like it belongs in a seporate game sometimes.

Not totally sure I understand the first part, but yeah most definitely they've said before that the kitsune content is it's own "island". Basically can't be meaningfully altered by others and it doesn't meaningfully interfere with other content. Easiest way to describe it is it's like a stand alone expansion pack, and several other areas are similar to a point. It leads to characters feeling more like ghosts, or hollow, or worst case like they only exist when the player sees them.

Each area that follows that design takes away from it being a world, just a fox box, orc land, etc. Imo it's a very very bad choice. They've been adding little connections and characters interacting outside of their zones so maybe eventually it'll be more interwoven. That combined with characters being finished so early feels very bad though, unless you specifically want to see a erotic scene again, eventually characters run out of anything at all and have remained so for a very long time. They don't write for a story, they write for current desires, ie "meh don't like them any more. I wanna write big donger muscle girl now. I don't really like those other characters either, instead I'm just going to take stuff from them and frankenstein it on this new character I like."

On moral and fetish talk, can't quote since there's so many posts about it now, but it's really a non factor. There's already weird icky niche stuff in game. The running joke of wanting to crusade everything has a foundation. Cait alone, you can be a living bed, tons of cuck content, and one of her marriages is foreshadowed to be the PC watching her get brazzered while they sit in a corner/get brazzered themself, and depending on your moral standards the list stretches out to about 90% of the game. On a moral richter scale it's similar to Bible Black, or a futa h that's a bit more edgy. You've got jizz food play, cucking, assault, blackmail, gagging, mind breaking, body modification, letting characters get assaulted, domestic violence, assaulting characters with low or animal level intelligence like wyverns, neglect play, direct mental abuse, slaves being choked and drug behind horses, etc. Something like a loving romance between relatives or cousins that support each other should not be the line in the sand, we marching up the beach already

Honestly, can someone explain to me why they don't want to make a power fantasy? I feel like it's stupid to try to avoid it in this type of game, even most actual RPGs are one kind of power fantasies, and we're talking about a text-based one so it's even worse

You can read Savin's posts yourself, but the way I understand it (only my opinion from what I've read from him) it's a combination of things:

1. Misunderstanding what power fantasy means - his examples of games that do it right were The Witcher, in which you are ridiculously overpowered compared to lore and you even don't need to save the world, and Dark Souls, which is a linear experience where you're the chosen one and all choices are meaningless.

2. Thinking that whatever D&D sessions he's had rewritten into a game is the pinnacle of balance and storytelling. A lot of things start to make sense if you think of the game as a heavily railroaded D&D campaign.

3. Making the main character into a "blob", in his own words. A character you can't assume much about is hard to write for. Writing a scene where they just observe two established characters fuck is much easier, as the NPCs don't need to carry every dialogue. That's why it also feels like they write basically for themselves, eventually they just got bored of the protagonist, got ideas for much more interesting characters, and you're really there to decide whose turn is next.

The funny thing is that this is only true if you don't pay attention to anything besides what the very first NPC you talk to says. If you do any exploring at all, even just talking to the second NPC you meet, this is instantly disproven. It's also not entirely linear.

Okay, took forever but I finally found her in the Frostwood. She does have her old scenes back (kinda weird they're not rewritten to match the current relationship but whatever). Figured out the issue with the new scene. It doesn't show up in the window option until you fuck her in the ass first. I don't know if that was intentional or not, but yeah.
