In another world, this *might* have been an opportunity to create some complexity with Cait's character and give her depth that extends beyond "sex cult priestess that fucks everyone". I say might, because such a topic would require a ton of writing skill and sensitivity that no one writing for this project currently possesses. When you take into account that actual cults often involve creepy sexual shit involving incest and minors there's little reason to have this kind of narrative in the game.

I get that the writers talked about giving Cait agency and having her be more than just the player's fucktoy but it just feels kinda fucked that it's done by having her be the product of extensive sexual and religious grooming from childhood. It's not like this is explored in a manner where you see how fucked up it is, it's just presented to you and that's that.

Meanwhile CoC1 (and the expansions) handled dark moments fairly well by acknowledging how fucked up certain situations were.

But that would require Savin to realize that what he wrote was actually a fucked up situation. Since he didn't even realize that what he wrote as Cait's backstory was her being groomed in a sex cult all he can do is try to deny it.

Anyways I still have fun with the game and don't expect too much, Kasyrra wanted to give the champion a harem of dragon babes and her fantasy life is being her sexy old safe and date the champion and cook together because she really, really loves to have adventures with them and a cozzy life, how cool is that?, too bad Tollus (the real enemy) won't let her do that

But yeah there's a lot of nuance lost in the ever growing lore that you don't ever get, as the mind navigating the champion, to question, ever. You just have to accept it and roll with it

Ryn's sister was an abusive pos before Kas entered the picture, the valley already had orcs raping and pillaging, the minos had a rape problem so the gender changing armor was created, the horse folk had a rape problem so the tea/milk was created.

Besides invading the minotaur city Kas hasn't been a serious problem compared to what's already plaguing the continent.

The centaur village I would say got hit by corruption the hardest and that was done by the cult(who was a problem before Kas).

Kas' device opened up a hole that would have let wraiths back into the world had Lumia not stepped in.

Kas hasn't been a serious problem because her plans haven't gone through. Remember she opened that portal to bring through an army/her generals, not just one daughter.

Kas isn't trying to plunge the world into sexual deviancy; she's trying to conquer the whole thing. She's said so several times. She wants to destroy/enslave the gods, just like Mareth - and Mareth was a really, really shitty world.

The elf city had a bunch of royalty before Kas showed up; they're all dead now, Kas did that.
She keeps a bunch of women trapped in her castle in the ways between, constantly pregnant tied up with tubes stuck in them for experimentation.

The orcs were sea raiders; they only showed up in the valley because their psychic predicted a conflict here they wanted to insert themselves into (which, presumably, is Kass/Tollus).


She's done a bunch of evil shit and would happily do more; the real problem is its never focused on. Its briefly mentioned that 'Kas did bad thing' and then immediately moved on from. The way it SHOULD be is your character wrestling with the heinous things she's done or wants to do and your relationship with Kas; but it never really happens.

Honestly they fumbled the ball here; they focused way too much on just making her sexy and in love with the player. There's barely any conflict between you after the setup.

I must be the exception then because I want to pummel both to a pulp. Her introduction was so hilariously pointed for a Big Bad that when I saw the Romantic option underneath in my first time playing, I thought someone was taking the piss.

Congrats to the parties involved on hitting a proper plot point with an ambulance in behalf of their fetish! Maybe don't have the possible turncoat demon start with a huge dick that she wishes to ram into the PC in the very first encounter?

This will end with the champion teaming up with Kasyrra to destroy ultra Tollus, who is the most powerful ever after some complicated and nonsensical plan no one ever saw coming, followed with an after game escenario about the secret true champion who wields dual katanas and is followed by a mysterious princess who smells like manure, because why not?, it ain't like they'll let your champion do anything

Given I'm not in the romantic path, I'd rather fight Kasyrra, have her sacrifice be an attempt at redemption while enpowering the PC for a fight with Tollus.

If there's any post-game scenario on that regard, it'd probably be "find a way to bring Kasyrra back because you totally want her around and you chose to kill her off by accident, Savin really wants you to get a load of her large futa dick, stop going against it", which is where I'd stop playing.

No one is forced, they're free to leave once they're adults, seeing naked women in the aftermath of sex could just as easily be explained by communal bathing facilities, sex education for post puberty teens isn't a weird concept so long as they're not participating.

The thing is, that they are trapped in that temple, their whole childhood, that their formative years, you know?, the ones that basically give a person the mainframe of who they'll be as adults, are developed in a whorehouse where they learn that exchanging sex for money is something good and desirable, even more, is a religious, spiritual call from their god, who wants them to spread passion all over the world, through more children who'll became whores and so on, forever

Cait was told at thirteen that she had the aptitude to be a sacred harlot and her education reflected that, every tale she tell us about the temple illustrates that doing that kind of stuff is normal to them, what's even more, Calla is seen as an odd element because she's the one who doesn't want to be part of that life, and taking Calla out of the temple together with Cait became a problem for their mom, that she fixed at the risk of her own station. Basically, church-state sponsored grooming

Being free to leave is pretty much an illusion in that setting, after all, what awaits for them outside of the protection of the church?, Calla did so because her dad was a man with power who could do so, despite the problems this created for her mom, and Cait just tagged along and was a problem too, despite wanting that life, something she would gladly keep doing, that's how much control the temple holds over them, that a random hooker leaving is an issue

Look, I'm not saying that the whole thing should be scrapped or anything like that, the eternal whoredom is part of the game and I enjoy it for what it is. All I would like is for the champion, the vehicle we have to explore this world, to have the capacity to react to it, beyond gushing constantly about everything or being kind of indifferent

No one from that world ever curse the gods, no one rebels against them, why?, are the writers so enamored with their own creations that they can't conceive someone from their own setting, hating them?. The wyld trees are almost a non entity, so diluted that they hold no weight at all, and Tollus does what he does for greed, but the champion is there and is part of the same world, could the champion maybe have a moral issue with thhe gods?

Let me roleplay in this roleplay game, that's it. Give the champion the chance to tell any of the seven that maybe, they are wrong

As of the mushroom dungeon that's basically been written out of existence. What really caused the the Wyld's decline was evil dark hidden corrupted dryd trees.

I was mostly fine with it until only really recently. Now that Kas has a copy of the ring of fate we've essentially had her experience the entire equivalent of a character arc completely off screen. The next time we see her after that quest, at the ball, she's talking about how crazy and awful her entire perspective is.

It's extremely abrupt. There was space there for Kas to actually move from obsession to genuine attachment, jumping from love to reflection, and afterwards using the ring for herself to see how her own drive has made her just as bad as the Lethice she constantly berates.

I still think there's room to come back. The entire 3rd act could be Kas coming to terms with how awful she is and having the player walk the same path of acknowledgement.

Savin has many talents, character arcs thus far hasn't been one of them. I just hope more big moments that change Kas perspective don't continue to exclusively happen off screen.
