Giant asterisk if the content is written by SKoW though, they were able to make the concept of "Undersea Fortress filled with Shark Futas" boring.
The majority of that fortress is for group sex and voyeurisms.
Only SKoW could write an Asexual shark without literally any other character traits that define her personality beyond her sexuality. SKoW may have had range before but this seems like the default setting now.

Porn is halfway persuasion and imagination and SKoW is certainly lacking in trying to pitch appeal.
"I'm the group sex writer!" In a game in which three times over it's tied for bottom 3 in votes.

I have a question for the thread that I genuinely want to hear out, think about throughly about, and answer. If you were in Savco's shoes and u were given the plot point, lore, and characters up to this point how would you develop CoC2?
You have put yourself in their shoes, so no fantasy budget or fantasy writers added. Just you and their own reality and have to dev it with their resources and tools.
I wanted to make a much bigger post (you'll see why that wouldn't have been a good idea once you expand that spoiler).
But going through my history there's nothing I could say or explain that I haven't already and I don't have the spark to make a more different retread so we'll skip deeper explanations and do lighter touches.
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

Mind you this is all a hypothetical.
I still think I'll probably be active in whatever the TiTS modding scene ends up being (unless there isn't one) when it finishes. Either through time, effort, or, if that fails, money.
Can't say the same for CoC2.

Fix the maids
Yes it always comes back to maids with me.
I would take every single maid interaction SKoW has ever done and slingshot them into the trash can. I would then pay B or Gardeford a sizable commission to add maids to the Wayfort. With a few key features
  • Hallway sex
  • Throne sex
  • Desk sex
  • Bed sex
  • Hallway teasing
  • Throne teasing
  • Random Fembang
  • Directed fembang
Also expand the staff; a butler and a pantler.
No longer would I see the infinite potential of maids be squandered.
Also a head maid to add an actual unique NPC (in the absence of individual unique maids) to put a face on more intimate actions.
If this game had this level of maid content I might let it take up my hard drive space. Instead of deleting it between times when I feel like reminding myself that nice things are a power fantasy.

There are random interactions between npcs at the Wayfort, adding some random stuff while camping would make a world of difference

The usually cold and composed Kiyoko suddenly acting all possessive and horny to drawn the champion's attention to her and your other companions reacting to that, Cait wants to join in but but Kiyoko bares her fangs making her jump like a scared cat, Arona would whistle, Brienne would wonder if she looks the same when the champion spends too much time away from her, I don't know, small stuff that works and opens the door for the real drama that comes later. There are already plenty of parts with Etheryn and Arona doing buddy/sex stuff and that mostly works, at least for me. That kind of things gives you the idea that they are not only sitting around in silence, waiting for your input while you do stuff because they are part of the adventure, you're constantly walking around with at least two characters and there's no friction which seems weird
Yeah the immediate party love is very lame. They don't beef or even disagreements, they only have this false feeling chemistry that forced. Even in the Avengers they beef for a good portion of the movie then gradually learn to vibe with each other, there are many a jrpg group that does this.
Hacks gonna be hacks I guess.

There's a lot good ideas here, especially the bit about community building and how corruption should scale and progress tho it'd have nuance when it comes to the content. The bit about having outside peer review is also a great counter the echo chambers that tend to form around fetish games.
The combat revamp sound very nice, being able to go solo would be great.

It's one of the biggest signs that the power fantasy whine from the devs is serious fucking projection. Their power fantasy is making your PC comparatively powerless (e.g. to create or manage or control inter-party tension), so if their outcome demands the party gets on despite writing pages upon fucking pages about how the "lore" would suggest some serious issues, then they'll chuck the lore out.

Like, If you take a step back and look at too may interactions in this game from Savin or those who think like him, it boils down to "Here's the outcome I want, I'll write backwards to get it". Compared to "What would this character actually do in a situation, given the writing I have already established?". Throw in a lot of openly "I did this to fuck with people I didn't like from COC1/That forum/This forum" and behold, the ouroboros of hate.

That's why I went on that rant a while back about how I just hate the way the people who write for this game treat people who get booted out. It's some cruel cultist shit, and it's all predicated on keeping the scam going (and the scam is not the game, the scam is that the game isn't an extension of the writers power fantasy). And again, blah blah blah I'm some anonymous know-nothing on the internet projecting my own projections into a videogame forum.

But its why I keep checking this thread - yeah maybe it is repeating the same points over and over, but I 100% think that most people in this thread are way further along seeing now plain nasty that crew is now than they were 200 pages ago. Plus, the fact is anyone can check my post history on this forum and see I'm a lot less hateful of a person than anyone writing for this game writing pages and fucking pages about how the contributor they just kicked off the ship sucked actually to anyone looking to praise or defend them.
It's their power fantasy bro, we're just living in it. Worse is like you said, they treat ppl like shit if the don't agree to toe the line on "party" opinions and if not you get demonized and ostracized. They might use u to "salt mine" which is just their barely disguised hate fetish.

I mean it's not really a false narrative. Usually when futa gets brought up it's about how much content they get, not how samey they all are. Hell, you yourself didn't even mention this issue until this message and your only other input in the topic this time was:

Not really hard to see why people think the way they do if you only ever mentioned how favored they are and act like females don't get content.

The post that even got this ball rolling specifically states:

I can agree with most futas having bland and similar personalities in this game, but nobody is wrong to think you or most regulars on this thread have a problem with futas when there's so much fucking autistic screeching about them.
its just that you want a vanilla type of story with a male and female relationship and then all of a sudden it turns into a futa and furry fest.

Am I part of a minority that doesn't mind the futa content? Genuinely asking. That said It seems like the go to patch is either pregnancy or futafication of a pre-existing character or something that encourages dickening of the player so maybe that's where the fatigue comes from?

The answer is always "not enough"
I don't have a problem with it. As long as they have submissive options. 75% of my interest in a lot of these character is if I can dick them and I'm not doing to sugarcoat that. Eveyln has good content when she becomes a dragon but I'm not touching her because you have to be her sub and gargle on her dick.

Also I'm not saying shit on the children department because many government agency would love to know how I turned a nearly extinct race of psionic dragons into a _______
A little bit of personality beyond, "I have a dick, therefore I must coom", would be nice

Maybe they don't really know how to write other kind of character and because of that they circle back between the three types that in my opinion, are most apt to describe the npcs and companions

It goes like this, your basic character has three possible outcomes, expansion through futa content, expansion through preggo content, expansion through slut content. Futa and preggo might overlap, in the same way that some sluts are also in the preggo tier, but usually, they tend to stay apart or there's a focus in one aspect way over the others

In other words, you can see what kind of horny was in mind while creating them, nothing bad till you consider that some of them are just and expression of said horny, basically, just a fetish, a kink and not a real character, and when you notice that, well, you can't unseen it, like the pixar smirk hiding a boring character after several sequels killing whatever made them good at the beginning
"I have a dick, therefore I must coom"
Idk why that has me thinking of MVC deadpool "Have Gun, Will Shoot" to "Have dick,Will Coom."
Honestly I've learned to live with the Futa content and just walking around it. My problem was with that dude grandstanding which kinda pissed me off. Regarding the character quality this becomes a numbers issue again and the lack of any depth or character dimension is a very valid concern. The first game had less characters but they all felt more fleshed-out. Even if it wasn't the case, every NPC felt like they had their own story and unique interactions, instead of being that one [insert random race here] you fuck one time and promptly forget about.
I personally really hope they do more with Seastone and her Underground Kingdom. There are a lot of key places I feel could use more work to be made to feel more alive. Like the Kervas camp and The Winter City. Too many semi-interesting characters are left to collect dust just to bring up another boring character who you fuck then ignore because they have no more future content. Also would it kill them to make futa sub content more interesting?
I agree, also, I think Savin did a good job with Arona and Kasyrra, I like them a lot

I'll stand them no matter what

Arona IMO is the best way to handle more dominant futas. I love the fuck out of her because we got to fight one another to establish superior over who is the top and who is the bottom. It allowed the player to determine how they wanted the relationship to be. I also just like Arona's character,She stays the same cocky, blunt, violence loving Orc. She's exclusively your sub and no-one will ever be able to experience that other than you.

I speak for myself, but I like it when the game treats the main character as if they are special. I don't mean in a way that invalidates all obstacles or anything like that. But something that takes your actions and choices into account with your character.

There's this one game, called Lust Odyssey, that lets you determine if your character is a sub, dom, and your kink. Your interactions and sex scenes react to those choices. It's a major turn off to run into characters who
I'll be entirely honest and say my bias for Arona is due to two things. The archetype of hardass to everyone else but sweet on you is my jam. I've proclaimed my love for that setup a few times in this very thread. It's like freckled red/orange/in that general color area heads, it's a weakness. The other reason is that throne scene when you help her defeat her brother. I remember that shit being hot.

I believe it's optional and you can take or give her the throne.... or maybe it's just auto given to her . But either way, being able to pick her up and sit her on your lap. Taking your prize and fucking the big bad new chieftain in front of the whole tribe. While she tries to hold onto her pride and resist. But eventually caves to the pleasure, telling you not to stop despite the situation and earlier protest. That shit was hot. It was one of the earlier few times that I remember. Where I was fooled into thinking this game might actually be a power fantasy. But we learn in time....
Yeah I'm not going to lie, I'm extremely bias towards Kass, sub Arona, and Briene.
I have one thing to say about this: "If u remove Community Writers, we'd have futa central."
Tobs and B prolly put in the most work vanilla females, for as much as I don't like them I'll give credit where its due.
Another thing is just as MEATSHIELD236 says, a lot of the content for Kiyoko is player hating vitriol and the rest is there to placate the rest of us.

It's not just his futas, its with most futas. They all want to be up your ass. It's just that most are "nice" about it that aren't his. With the exception of Jaelyn thats ur dedicated fuckpet(and even with tht SKoW manages to force u in a 3rd wheel), they all can get flushed.

And from what I'm seeing yet again ppl breaking it down tht the writers biases are in full swing.
I disagree on the third wheel part in this one. Since you have exclusive/one on one scenes with both Daliza and Jael'yn. Unless you're going for the thing where they love each other and I personally don't see it. With Jael'yn being a demon and Daliza just having a crush on her captain. Then again, I could be coping and if I am don't correct me. Let me say in ignorant and forgive my misdeeds.

I really liked tht, Hgg mod for CoC1 really hits different when you can just ice an irritating character. Don't like Kelt? Skin tht horse. Don't like tht Sheep bitch that tricks u into the demon pit? Get the preemptive jump on her by pulling an uno reverse card the second u meet her, killing her in a admitantly chilling serial killer moment or wait until ur justified and kill for luring ppl in the pit.
I really like that the writers of hgg mod get the feeling that sometimes you want flip between being a good boy and crazed devil depending on the moment.
Wish Savco had the balls to do stuff like tht.
The problem I feel that saving and the other guys fail to realize is that The champ is suppose to be the player's self-insert/guide into he world. Them attempting to kill people who did them wrong or took advantage of them makes absolute sense.
1) The first step would be to obviously put a hold on pumping out new characters and focus on old ones instead. It doesn't have to screech to a complete halt, but toned down significantly. I fully understand from firsthand experience how tiresome writing can be at the best of times, especially when you're not invested in the content you're writing, but I believe the people paying for the game's development (or the lining of the creator's pockets) deserve a certain standard of quality and consistency. This also tackles the issue of outdated busts since a lot of them are in dire need of a facelift.

2) Fix the goddamn typos and the syntax errors holy shit. It's not like nobody's reporting them. You can go to the forums right now and see the sheer number of typo reports that haven't been addressed. The line referring to Garth as Garret has been in the game since the introduction of the character and apparently it's going nowhere, that and more egregious errors like swapping the default and Bimbo dialogue, making me wonder why my pc is suddenly giggling like a schoolgirl for no reason. This could also include getting rid of out-of-place euphemisms like "Jeez" and the like, since you know... fantasy setting and all.

3) At least try to do something with the corruption mechanic... it's in the name ffs. I would genuinely consider revising the entire game to bring this aspect to the forefront. It wouldn't be an entire upheaval of the foundations, just adding options and appropriate reactions from the NPCs, instead of essentially treating them like mindless drones who barely react to your actions. The original had more robust examples of this where followers for instance could leave you temporarily as a response to your actions, and I believe this could be something worthwhile to consider given the game's name. The foundation is already there, where corrupted or demonized NPCs (which are irreversible decisions) could add to an irreversible corruption counter which could be utilized to reflect these changes for example.

4) Make TFs matter again more. I'm not suggesting anything "impossible" like introducing different body types, but introducing new options and dialogue just like the little acknowledgements you get for becoming a dragon, which I believe is a cool example because it shows that the player's choices and the thought they put into their PC's creation matters. This would include bringing back racial abilities because I still have no clue wtf Savin was smoking when he nuked them.

5) Iron out some of the plot holes like the 7 sitting with their collective thumbs up their asses with demons and an evil cult on the loose.

6) Do something about adult Kinu. Might even go as far as nuking the entire concept and keeping her as a child since that's what most people have suggested instead of the slop we've been given. This one might seem a little personal but it's literally the writer antagonizing the players for something they had no part in.

7) Get rid of the companion limit. Always felt weird that Savin limited the writers to one when he has 3 himself. If the writers want to write them then let them do it, given they're able to at least deliver a bare minimum, within reason of course.

8) Implement Environment art like the image pack did for CoC1, if only to break the monotony of the endless text when exploring the game world. Even just one or two images sprinkled between every three tiles or so would make a world of difference, I believe.

9) Optional Survival mode, with the need to eat and sleep. It isn't like the precedent isn't set with the blue ball status, and it wouldn't really be that difficult to implement.
I agree with pretty much all of this. If there was one thing that I felt the first game lacked was the feeling of importance and properly powerful demon companions/slaves. Though that's kinda what they were going for with you being a nobody but in coc2 you are special dude. I feel like a lot of your corruption options should, based on your choices, not make you come out as some super-rapist/murderhobo. Evil is a lot more complex and manipulative than, "I don't like you, die". The champ's actions or words convince people that, while what he did might have been morally wrong, it was the right decision against Kass. What I did like about the original game is the corruption ending that showed that you could still remain your species/self and not be tempted to cum out your soul because you are used to dealing with demons. I want to options that make me feel like a mastermind of corruption and not just some idiot doing stuff out in the
I like Arona too, my problem is that her scenes become way more dick focused after her quest. And if you get her pregnant you can randomly proc a scene where you give her a footrub followed by a handjob that you can't opt out of. Also, she goes from being a dominant futa out to rape you to being even more of a sub than Brienne. All of her resistance goes out the window post-quest.

And I wish there was a way to side with Argoth without your character being an idiot who can't follow simple instructions.

Are you talking about Sandre and Caera? If so, I have to disagree. You can eventually invite them back to the wayfort, disguise them, dom them and de-dick them. If every futa in the game was as malleable as those two the game would be objectively better imo.

Combat:

1.) I would make it so that every character in your party had a deck of powers, so you could change what powers they had access to mid-battle. You could balance it around cooldowns. Only being able to assign 4-5 powers before going through a gauntlet of random encounters is too limiting and promotes bland/generic skill use.

2.) I would change the way sensing works, it would be a bonus action that every party member can do once per turn. It would involve two checks, one for basic combat info that relies on level and cunning and one for a characters sexual interests that would be determined by your libido. Having to give up a turn just to find out what an enemy is weak to has always been annoying to me, especially since you have to do it with the MC.

Hopefully, both of these changes would make the combat flow a bit better and allow people to be more experimental in the powers they use.

3.) This might be controversial but I would get rid of kits too, the idea that a characters stats and move pool can completely change just because they changed outfits is silly( What is this FF X-2?). Party members would just have their own deck of powers and their own different armors and weapons that they gain as they level up and do different events.

4.) Party members should be able to use items too, never got why they couldn't.

5.) I would change the way presence works, I would cut the leadership bonus but give it to party members as well, so that they could buff the MCs stats as well instead of it only going in one direction.

General:

1.) I would make the MCs background more relevant to the story if possible. Maybe retcon is so that a Noble Scion is distantly related to Carmen and Tollus, or an Orc Barbarian is a cousin to Arona. Something that attaches the MC to the narrative more than you just randomly being hit by an explosion.

2.) I would give every dom-only futa an optional sub route, and in general make TFs for NPCs more common.

3.) Might not be realistic given the games stage of development but I would have chosen different party members. Characters like Azyrran, Atugia and Viviane don't have much of a connection to the story. Characters like Garret, Eryka, or Evelyn would have made more sense imo.
Arona's whole culture is about the Right OF Conquest. The whole point of the fights is establishing which of you tow have the rights to be top dog. Before you even start the quest the relationship have been established. When you make help her be cheiftan and fuck her on her throne that just shows the other orcs who is in charge. Also nah man she ain't subbier than Briene that's a flat out lie, if anything she comes off at times like a awkward sub. She gets off on the power you have over her but it's clear she's used to subbing. Her blowjob scene is so damn peak man, especially if you do it at the karvus camp.

I also agree with 1 and 2 of general but not 3. I feel your background should have a decent affect on a lot of interactions and perhaps even give you special things to say or relationships with characters due to said background. I want to feel like I'm playing a actual person I crafted in this damn game. hell they could have handled it a bit like D.i.C.K. did with you crafting your backstory and your relationships as you start the game. It was just a couple of pages but it got me immersed.

Azyrran was personally affected by kass actions with her hive. Atugia is...well you're kinda right but I also don't feel that a character has to have a strong connection to the story to be a good companion. As long as they have good reactivity and personal shit to do in the world. Eryka seems the most likely companion I would approve of. But I'm bias and I don't want to dick my boy Garret. Evelyn could work with sub path.

I also feel that depending on the character, them being sub or dom should affect their interactions with you and how other's comment on them.

There are too much of them, thts the first problem and like u said they do too little. The should affect ideally 2 or 3 aspects of the "gameplay" of this glorified smut book.
3 or 5 backgrounds are the sweetspot for writers to remember tht they exist.

They need to have stuff they bring to the party, u know? For me I think the pillars of a good companion are:
1 - Unique mechanic or function, maybe the enable you to cook special recipes at camp or access special spells but they got to have something. Bg3 has Karlach with her soul coins or Gale needing to eat magic items.
2 - Character Drama. They bring something that interacts directly or indirectly or tangential with the story or lore of the narrative.
3 - The own Objectives. They have their own goals that interact, interject, and/or interfer with the MC's goals.
4 - They hold a unique niches in the party, both in combat and out, things should feel different if they aren't in the party both in and out of combat. You've got the leader/competent one, the sexy one, the smart one, the den mother/party shield, the lancer/rival/second in command.
5 - They act as a stand in for their culture or a good starter for lore dumps disguised as character dialog. Gotta worldbuild some how and giving said character their own opinions on said lore adds extra spice to character development.

If that "companion" doesn't have at least 3 of these ticked off, its likely not gonna be good.
Agreed on the companion bit.
Absolutely agree, the character drama was spicy asf. It was really interesting how they had their own wants and peeves but it helped a lot towards giving them character moments. Some ppl might find it annoying but thts just because a lot players don't like being told No.
I'm that player. Don't tell me no.
It also just makes sense. Bit wacky that nobody in the wayfort cares that there's literal demons walking around, and that you somehow keep finding more to stuff in there. I remember reading somewhere that the wayfort was planned to be the "Corrupted PC base". Would have been nice if we could actually lean into that aspect more, but you know. The devs not interested in corruption content and whatnot.
It has the ghost of good content too. Demon Jael'yn hints that you have the qualities of a King and she would love to serve you. Another obvious thing corruption should do is give you unqinue companions you wouldn't get if you were pure.
At this point everyone just assumes the player is a lil quirky and stopped questioning it once they realized the world runs on porn logic.

She makes more sense than Azyran as a party member tbh. If Azyran wasn't made by one of the main authors she'd be relegated to one off dungeon companion and forgotten about and probably only gets the spear on the weirdly loose "royal" logic because she can be called a dragonfly as a pun. Evelyn in concept feels more like she should be involved than she is.

I think you misspelled curb stomped by troll land.

Isn't there like only one male frost elf and he's just kinda there?
All snow elf lore can best be summed up as "the girls are fighting".

Goblin Slayer is protecting us.

Like the femme pc is the domme or lesbian femdom? I agree either way though.

Also anyone else just save edit in moth lady's super sword or the dragon spear to use to make combat bearable purely out of spite?
The more I think about it. The more I feel Evelyn could be a central/important npc. Her vibes don't really give me the companion feel, you know. She's much more interested in handling her own political shit and problems. It wouldn't make sense for someone of such importance to just be going out on adventurers with us. Could she help us on our quest? Yes. But personally taking a hand in it doesn't fit her.
There's something to it bro. Being the one cucking for once. Maybe this is what a power fantasy feels like?

I've skimmed through the Octavia content against my better judgement and I'm telling you. No amount of coercion can make a man write something that extensive unless they're into it. Likely an out of context joke or something because that's some of the hardest futadom content I've seen even by this game's standard.
Please give more content of the champ chucking people. I am NOT a good person.

Oh crap I forgot one last thing that bothers the fuck out of me in this game. HAVE SEX SCENES AND INTERACTIONS TALK IN ACCOUNT HOW TALL OR SMALL YOU ARE. My character is tall as fuck it really takes me out of scenes when they act like I am shorter than someone. It's just changing a few lines it's not that damn hard man.

Yo! Where is that explanation at for "You're not just cherrypicking, but also blatantly lying" for that post.
Or is it just to embarrassing to talk about how you proved yourself wrong while failing to count low numbers while cherrypicking yourself.

Because it's you you who is blatantly lying or can't math some low numbers that you brought to your own post.

You have a ring with the specific power to protect you against losing your soul via corruption, and another ring that lowers your corruption over time

The walking cum rag that hangs out with you is also a priestess and supposed to be able to cleans things, I think

Got that chick that's dating wasp girl a cool sword, that should've been mine. She could always do me a solid with the whole cleanse stuff

It feels like Driffa is the only one taking things seriously when you capture the corrupted lupines

Anyway, the point is that a more cunning champion would be able to employ demons/corrupted beings without much issue, I mean, that guy from the knotty cave had a small imp at his service and was doing ok, or at least good enough considering he was a way less cringe Tollus doing evil corrupt shit

Momma Kass was cool with giving me a legion of her dragon daughters just because, there's no reason an evil, corrupted champion couldn't keep some corrupted pets that actually do something beyond standing there

I mean, most demons aren't even your enemies in the sense that they do shit because they really want to kill or hurt you, they do it to bring you closer to Kasyrra, just getting some of them to believe that Tollus is going after her should let you manipulate them into being your minions
