Use PC achievements as the trigger then. The closest thing you're gonna get personality-wise is the well... personality parser (That's been pretty much forgotten it seems)
Honestly a very cool premise regardless. Would be a breath of fresh air since there's so many ways to tackle this one.

In lieu of a lacking personality score, would it be possible to give the character a counter? Give us buttons to react with: mock, ignore, be kind. And in case of sex also points added or substracted based on whether we decline, dom them etc.

If you are too nice, they try to monopolize you (maybe even shit-talk companions for not treating you like a champion), maybe channel inner Oblivion's Annoying Fan (silly mode?). Close to zero and they try to get you to notice them. Too much into negative and they start going creepy and dangerous, as mentioned even attempting to kidnap you. With possible bad end.

Hell, could actually use the dungeon to disable them temporarily, rather than kill (still could kill) so it doesn't get frustrating. I guess it would be a bit of like a nemesis? Come to think of it, giving some encounter npcs a jail timeout sounds tempting.

Buuut yes, I'm aware this sort of complex character has little chance of being approved.

That's a bit harsh, given I'm pretty sure they were locking something out over the temple back when it was announced to be a thing.

That said, I do think most people just did it on auto-pilot because it was set as a quest objective. There's also the possibility that not allowing people to undo it would fuck with Cait's overall interest towards the player base full-stop when it comes to being the center of attention that she was kind of designed to be. Similar thing to, say, Kasyrra, who Savin apparently swore in the past was meant to be a romantic interest, yet has one of the wankiest introductions in the whole game and goes on to have one of the most hilarious arcs in the whole game up to now.

I think it's reasonable to suspect that people would see that you can't have Cait in a certain way if you've done the temple, look at the amount of game you'd have to play through to undo just that and flat out stop giving a shit about her. The best straight romantic lead in the whole game is gender-bent Brint, after all and her only quirk is wanting the PC to fuck her sister and mother. Why bother with Cait?

It comes down to a choice, either I do this quest and get more content or I don't and wait for something else, add to that, that the temple has been around circa 2021 and this alternative path is supposed to be implemented next year, so that makes at least four years of waiting for said option, that, if they really put it in the game because there's always the chance someone there decides that doing so is not worthy

All I'm saying is that for the casual player that doesn't spend time in the forums nor the discord, and got the game here or there making such assumption is reasonable enough, the text telling you, "this will totally change her, promise", has little to no weight because once again, there are five years in which said divergence has been meaningless

Well, yes. I typed that under the assumption that most of the game's player base is tracking along after stumbling on some point. Probably those chest puzzles with the stones.

That said, I do think it works with the eventual player that arrives late enough to the game that it's a relevant choice. That's the shit with games that take ages to get finished, we can only imagine what's gonna happen.

I just started playing this game about half a week ago and my Steam time already is at like 70 hours. It is shocking how good this is, the in depth D&D quests throughout. Like when I became XXXXXXX and was gifted freaking property to set up. That was unexpected and also sorta really awesome. It reminds me of a BG CRPG just all text. Honestly I am finding myself sometimes just rushing through the sex scenes to the next bit of story, I love it.

If I knew of any other game that was like this where it was so story focused and in depth with community led lore like this porn or not, and even especially the latter I would check it out in heartbeat. I haven't gotten to the end by any means but I am kinda also not looking forward to it because then it ends and since it is not finished I will finish without real closure. Btw I love the villain and she and Cait are so my faves, Brint and the elf princess are not bad either.

Even if we assume "half" to be an exaggeration and count it as a full week, it's still almost 12 hours per day doing nothing but playing a single porn game.

I don't think somebody is assuming every single character ever created somehow caters to them. It'd be ridiculous to even insinuate that's a person's position.

That virtually no character allows for any player control in a game that is supposedly a sequel of a game that allowed that for nearly all of them is a reasonable grievance for somebody to have.

Furthermore, we know in no uncertain terms that there is virtually no corruption because neither the project leader nor the writing staff want to write it. Yet they took on this project. Thus somebody with the complain "there's basically no corruption," would be valid as well.
