At least with Brint -> Brienne you could argue that it was a cursed artifact that did it rather than the PC actively and deliberately doing it like with pushing Azzy and Liaden into the bimbo honey.
Now, beating a pack of mangy corrupted wolfmen into submission and then marching them single file against their will into a pool that turns them all into mangy corrupted wolfwomen and making them your personal bitches is in the same vein and is significantly worse but I don't see anyone getting up in arms about it.
There's an answer to that, you see
Their horny=good
Your horny=bad
Because they are dudes, attacked you first, and didn't have any cute gay ship pairings. Basically the less they know about them, the less they care. It's just nameless npcs to them. They really are crying hyprocites. Atleast I'm a self-aware hypocrite.
Either way, sometimes when you see people standing on a very dumb hill to die on, the only wise choice is to walk past them. The option to bimbofy them is exactly that. An option. And if one doesn't like it, it really shouldn't be difficult to just say "good for you" to people who enjoy this.
I can hear the stupid reason for the change now "its like litteraly conversion therapy, a lesbian character being transformed against her will is just icky morally." To which i say what about the dozens upon dozens of instances of the player character losing and being forced out of their comfort zone, what about their consent? Where's their insurance? Also yeah its icky morally, its a evil CHOICE. Ooooh there's that scary word the devs hate. Choice.
See, that's the funny thing about their syncopated argument. The more you think about it, the more it looks like what it obviously is. Asskissing.
It's one of those moments that showcase one interesting consequence of the years and years of purging "bad actors" - Savco managed to get a proper audience that is perfectly fine sucking up to them to the point of taking these absurd stances that get increasingly sillier.
It's also a smaller audience than a game with the title they managed to sneak with deserves, but that's not an issue when Savin can keep doing goofy shit with the project with minimal fuss inside of their little comfort box.
Additionally, it's why I don't feel bad about the fans of this game per se. The card carrying fans that suck up to Savco are getting
exactly what they deserve out of this, this gimped up product.
At least most titles are clear on what they're about. I knew what I was getting into going into Futadom World. Apparently Corruption of Champions 2 is Futadom World-lite in a fantasy setting.
Liaden isn't even interesting. Her only trait unrelated to another character is her vocation and that is tertiary to her being Azzy's GF.
It's actually fairly fitting to the character for the defense of her not being able to get bimbofied being tied to some stance about "anti-lesbian therapy" and not, you know, the death of her personality as a character coming as a consequence.
They don't care about Liaden, they care about the "lesbian pollen" ship. Not that there was anything to care about there to begin with, but it's quite telling that's the focus of the argument. They could at least pretend to give a shit about the character aside of what she and the bee do on their spare time, just a thought.
Real talk Savin was such an ass and he didn't need to be.
Was? Is.
But they are cowards who want everything to be safe or edge without any real meaning or impact( Like Gweyr, for example. A perfectly good waste of a possible corruption option. You can even get her to go back to hawkethrone because no-one really cares anymore, except for a named npc). Like this game has half-assed so much that it's nonsensical. They don't want you to corrupt others and feel it is wrong and cruel, but have enemies and npcs treat you like sex object more than a living being. Not to mention how brutal and cruel they can be to you. Corruption is being done off-screen to not trigger (I'm joking, it's clear they are being lazy and would just use this as a excuse)
I'd say it's more self-serving than cowardice. Kinda like the whole "oh, we put it on the bounties and nobody bit", which also came on the heels of having an abrasive cunt doing his best to get on the way of anything good.
If something has the excuse of being too risqué, then Savin will claim it as the reason why they're not doing something... when they were never gonna do something, because he already didn't want it anyway.
See savin lurkers,we are not just hating on the game for hatred sake. We are given constructive critism and offering alternatives. And yes you could say:"If it bothers you so much why don't you write it for the game?" Well, for me and others to do that we have to be sure it would get approved or have a decent chance of being approved, but sence we know the track record of that...eeeeeh. Not to mention we aren't going to be paid to put in content that should have been in the game in the first place. I don't want to rack by brain making interesting characters only for them to be changed in ways I don't like or care for.
I find it hard to want to work on writing for a game whose lead I find incredibly unsatisfying to work with. If it was just an ass that's still aiming to get something good done for fans/consumers and just lacks the people skills for it, I wouldn't mind it as much.
Being self-serving on top of it is the fucking bell ringer for me.
Honestly I would love for an option to enslave the demons while roleplaying as a good champion, only because it would add a little bit of grey there (don't wanna kill them because killing bad, but also don't wanna let them do evil), the champion being allowed to do something not so good against bad people, a way to keep them from corrupting others that works because demons can be subjugated through violence, but I guess enslaving others feels too evil and corrupt so that's a big no no for the corruption game
You could genuinely get a fun game out of that. Person gets chance to change things in a shitty world run by demons, gets faced with a big point of contention, has a dilemma on what they're doing and gets multiple ways to solve it.
