TiTS is a fully different crew. I'd still be worried about them anyways. CoC2, despite the amount of complaining you get from myself or others, is in a good place as far as a project is concerned. It's got a stable audience for the kind of game it wants to be and delivers content multiple times every single month and has for years. Like yeah they're clearly not in any rush to get to the end. But, I don't think any person spending money on this project and are invested in the work for the writing actually care all that much.

I can have a good time throwing mud at CoC2, a game that ultimately will make it across the finish line with it's current fanbase mostly intact. I can't have a good time throwing mud at TiTS when the inverse is true.

My concern is that while Fen is still involved he ultimately made savin the project lead for TiTS. CoC2 is a stable game and I have to begrudgingly admit is successful commercially but is ultimately a meandering mess that's been shuffling towards an alleged finish line for years. And much of the content that gets dropped may be consistent in schedule but certainly not quality. Combined with savin proving time and again what a shitty project lead he is I can't help but think that once CoC2 is done or he remembers he's in charge of TiTS that he'll frontload that game with the same stuff bringing down CoC2. As sluggish as progress on TiTS is I can say I mostly like the content presented so far and I don't trust savin to not change it or shift design. And this is me speculating but I wonder how many patrons are actively keeping up with the game or just subscribed in the early days because of name recognition and forgot to unsubscribe. Of course I have no way to know if that's the case.

I believe the point everything started to morph was when the Kas Halloween event was added. IIRC it was added before it was meant to when Kassy was still the villain and her romance wasn't scheduled until Mino City

I remember coming into this game thinking it was just a text base fuck fest.... which I mean it is. But I wasn't expecting much in the way of romance. But that shit was pretty good. Especially considering our 1st encounter with her.

Ironically one of the few events that even pretended to play at romance in the game. Amazing how such a small thing can lead to such a strong result

I'm genuinely not trying to be argumentative or a dick or anything when I say this, but I truly believe there are serious objective issues with this game. Problems such as inconsistent writing quality and style, inconsistent characterization, poor management, poor gameplay balancing, dishonest branding, and lack of progress. Not saying no one can overlook those or decide they don't impact their enjoyment of course but those are observable issues beyond me thinking there's too much of a niche ntr genre oversaturating the game.

Unless there's direct confirmation I'm not aware of, Savin is to my knowledge the current project lead of TiTS and he's just been neglecting it to focus on the project he was leading first before turning his attention to TiTS. Besides my concern is that he'll someday turn his attention to the game with better and sometimes more varied, imo, content and ruin it.

Look, I've said this once before, but I'll repeat myself for reference.

I will play, watch, and consoom absolute shit media all because there's one character I find hot in it.

I've watched the entirety of RWBY, Darling in the Franxx, Dragonaut: The Resonance, and countless other subpar anime as well as numerous gacha games. I don't say this because I'm proud of my obsession, just to say that I can legitimately get something out of CoC II. I mean, fuck, look at my profile picture.

But even considering all of this, you have to be utterly blind to not see the flaws of this game. It is a bad game. Yes, it's not unplayable. It's not a glitch filled bug infested mess. It's not totally offensive or objectionable (It's borderline). But just because it's a bare minimum of what you expect for a video game doesn't shield it from critique. And that's what annoys me regarding the Savin glazers, how they quash even the most lightest of criticism.

I remember when I lurked on the forums there were users who were literally white knighting the writing team and answering for them whenever someone said anything regarding the game's flaws. Every single gripe was framed as a personal attack against the writers, as just angry entitled players who wanted everything handed to them. That's where I saw that tired argument, "Oh you want X in the game, well why don't you just write it yourself?".

So while I am a conissuer in shit media, I don't try to pretend that it's wagyu beef because I have some sort of complex with the people who made it. I know I'm watching or playing shit. I know I can't recommend it to others unless they're freaks like I am. But even so, if I outright hated this game, I mean seriously thought this game was fucking horrible and unsalvagble; I wouldn't be here. I wouldn't waste my time ranting about it. I wouldn't have Kiyoko as my profile pic. I get something out of this curse of a game while also am painfully aware of the state it's in.

I just think it's fucking sad how they hogged companions but don't even do anything with them. Brienne and Arona are the only ones I even like seeing stuff for anymore. They will fuck up and half-ass everything they come up with instead of actually putting effort into it. There's an option when talking to arona at the orc camp about getting an alliance with minocity all to raid them, which I chose because it I kinda knew it wouldn't result in anything and because I thought it would be cool to do. You can't really trust these guys with anything, and they have a system that stops fans from adding anything they don't care for.

Hey, It's been said before, a lot of people eat shit and appreciate it. Just look at the new Star War trilogy, they made bank despite being absolute shit. When even your actors point out how shitty your movie is, you know it bad, but you got guys like this that make sure even a sticking pile looks like gold. I will give leeway with Darlings in the Franxx because Zero two carried that show up until the halfway point, then fell of a cliff. RWBY was always garbage but the fight scenes made up for in spades, then Monte died.
