I think expanding on their nonsexual attributes would be the quickest and easiest way to further differentiate many characters. Characters need more development, that's one of the biggest shortfalls in the game really.

Orlaith and Co are stuck in the forest. What have they seen? How do they interact with the other forest denizen? Can we introduce them?

They also have shory tidbits where you explain your adventures to them. That's boring. Why not expand on that? Maybe some stories you could tell them after major events of places they'll never get to go to.

Of course, this could lead to an expansion where Champ and Grainne figure a way to get her out of the forest temporarily - maybe in that potted plant version they floated on the forums - but that would be more of an expansion.


But yeah, spending a but more time on developing relationships in a nonsexual manner is something Wsan doesn't usually do...more Alypias territory.

Evelyn is probably his best character in that way - she feels pretty fleshed out.

Agreed, the way a lot of characters are written (especially the side characters) right now is that their sexual characteristics are their main form of characterization. They get a bit of history, some light characterization, and then it's on to pound town. Even the characters that get more details are primarily defined by their sexuality.

Which, on the one hand, it's a porn game, it's what people are here for. But it's also a text-based porn game, so they have ample room to flesh out these characters. They just... don't. So when I see people complaining about "yet another futa dom," I personally see it as less of a complaint about the fetish, and more a complaint about samey characters. The flavor might be slightly different, but they all lead to the same end.

Oh I actually quite like this one! I think that would have made for a more interesting personality for Kaly than what I went with tbh, her seclusion and lack of social interaction making her act a little strangely like that, plus being unable to properly get off as a taur... It's definitely giving me ideas... Even if they might not make it into CoC2 sadly.

To add onto this discussion, since we're on the topic of character stories, I'm actually rather stumped with which direction I want to go with Kalysea. Originally I was quite settled on something cozy with the PC, but I'm wondering if that's a little boring.

Does anyone have any particular ideas as to where her story could lead?

She hasn't yet collared the PC, though that was something on the list of options for future content.

A branching path is an interesting idea I've been considering, for example a dilemma where you can potentially reveal something about her intentions and send her away, turning her into a hostile or neutral character with different interactions. I mean hell, it could even go the personality route MoneyMan suggested in his post, with her becoming more desperate and dropping her usual confidence, perhaps revealing that to be a front she used to make herself seem more appealing as a dominant. Just ideas for now though, as always character development is a pain when the character already has a bunch of content, due to rewriting.

I am mainly focused on after the cock ring is made, as that means her follower content is available. It would feel like a huge waste to simply dump all of that with whatever new story content comes up, even if it's a 'toggleable' mode based on your choices interacting with her. (E.g. she's a hostile encounter, after beating her you can offer a place back in the party.)

Yes he's planning to work on her soon but it's going to be a paid commission in this case, after he finishes his work on Mayternity. We've got a lot of ideas for things, but we haven't discussed them to settle on one yet. I'm trying to see if there's any interesting last minute ideas that might steal the show, or just help narrow them down.

It's difficult because there's so many interesting options and it's hard to pin down exactly which selection to go for.

Everything she wasn't before when she actually was in control of herself, maybe she could stay as a neutral npc you can visit at her old hut with the same sex scenes but in a more somber tone, now that she doesn't have a soul and lost her abilities as a druid

On the other hand if the champion fix it in time, they could have a more deep and meaningful relationship, give another meaning to the ring itself and while it wouldn't be cozy and cute, it could be a little bit more equal, at least Kalysea would try and I don't know, the new, purified ring could give your party some bonus because, love is the most powerful force ever, yeah because of that

Ah, see the problem is that if her story moves her beyond being a 'follower', then all her current content basically evaporates. Most people would simply play the story out once then reload and continue to play her follower content. That's the difficult part, it has to fit in with that really. :/

Got it, could the same be done without losing her then?, as in, lightly altering some interactions depending on how much power the ring exerts over her?, maybe it wouldn't have to be something demonic because there's a bunch of magical stuff that's equally dangerous, like the rimecore or whatever it's name was, also, someone posted about having her interact with other domes, that sounds like a fun idea, as in, there's a bunch of them gushing over the champion so it would be nice to have her acting proud of having such a good sub, should the player be into it
