I think expanding on their nonsexual attributes would be the quickest and easiest way to further differentiate many characters. Characters need more development, that's one of the biggest shortfalls in the game really.
Orlaith and Co are stuck in the forest. What have they seen? How do they interact with the other forest denizen? Can we introduce them?
They also have shory tidbits where you explain your adventures to them. That's boring. Why not expand on that? Maybe some stories you could tell them after major events of places they'll never get to go to.
Of course, this could lead to an expansion where Champ and Grainne figure a way to get her out of the forest temporarily - maybe in that potted plant version they floated on the forums - but that would be more of an expansion.
But yeah, spending a but more time on developing relationships in a nonsexual manner is something Wsan doesn't usually do...more Alypias territory.
Evelyn is probably his best character in that way - she feels pretty fleshed out.
