My eyes are starting to completely glaze over whenever I read long posts in this thread, I think the apathy threshold for this game might have been reached for me guys. Like I can appreciate a good discussion but I have been so completely uninterested in just about every update for the past 2 years aside from B's imp character.

Idk man I get invested into stories relatively easily and it doesn't take much for me to react emotionally but the writing in the game is just so unbelievably uninspired for what feels like ages now. There haven't been any fresh ideas from the main writers since... I can't even remember when, I don't think I've ever emotionally cared about a character besides maybe Ryn since she's the only one with actual character development. Maybe Tui has some in her quest, I just couldn't be assed to do it up until this point. Every single new character they add is just slightly different flavors of existing characters so all of them just start feeling like homogenized mush.

I could go on and on about missed potential but I already have before. Either Savin and Co are just phoning it in and coasting by to make money, or they genuinely are not very creative, or at the very least are burnt out. Well TOBS may be more creative than the rest but we all see where that fucking leads.

It's funny to me that not only are his characters douchebags, they're unrepentant losers on top of that. Which could actually be entertaining if the game let us bully them for being massively pathetic fuck-ups, but we all know why we can't.

I liked that her horn was a erogenous zone. Unorthodox shit like that is hot. But now I'm curious as I think about it. There was a bit with her where you had a strength competition, based on your own stat. Winning or loosing leading to a scene. Now I'm wondering if that something modded in. Or was it a core vanilla thing .

That was 100% vanilla. Original game was rife with fun little interactions like that.

Edit: Now I'm self-doubting. Great.
At least my memory tells me that was in the unmodded CoC, which I played several times from scratch, over the years.

Keep in mind, that the ability to dodge/block Leofric's punch was retroactively added in. Originally, it didn't matter how strong you were, he would always lay your champ on their ass. By the way, Leofric was one of Bubblelord's characters.

I still can't believe that Leofric thing, was a thing. Didn't know the option to deal with the punch was added later. I found this game much later and my stats were high enough. So I never saw what happens if you get knocked out. But if the wiki is to be believed. And he actually uses the word "lame"....bruh that is some premium Grade A goofy shit.

Not only do it through a sucker punch. But to use the word "lame" afterwards. Like what type of self-inserting, fart sniffing shit is that? And I believe the character is unfinished? So you potentially get bitched out of nowhere. With no way to get back at him. That man was high on his own fumes to do something like that.

Also, the Brienne hobgoblin NTR was sort of, kind of redone. When it was first put in, it was way waaaaaay tonally dark for what CoC II is known for, basically a full on >rape doujin where Brienne is clearly traumatized by it. Wsan blew up in the discord about it as apparently Tobs didn't even tell him about it. It was a real shitshow.

And I know we're already past this, but fuck Bubblelord and his shitty self-insert OCs. I'll happily cuck Quint and Takahiro and Allah willing, Leofric too. I'll take his qt mercenary captain Jen, and then his goth goddess gf Tira. I'll leave Bub's characters with nothing. Azami will join my Kitsune breeding program. Rune will be my personal fucktoy.

Considering Bubs originally wanted Takahiro to cuck us with Kiyoko (Ironically it was Tobs who shut that down). How he spazzed out on the forums about how "Douchebags fuck girls all the time in real life, why are you all angry about my characters fucking random NPCs!?" when people were clowning on the fact that his characters seem to exist in a reverso world where Quint is seducing babes left and right and Taka is having threesomes with Miko and Mai.

Which contradicts scenes not written by him in which every character that's supposedly slutting it up with Bub's bitches are all like "Quint? He's a creepy cultist freak, I don't trust him." "Takahiro? He's a useless drunk, it's pathetic..."

He really was by far the worst writer of the entire bunch. He is not missed. Bad worth ethic, bad personality, bad ideas. That's all Bubs contributed. I'm usually a chill guy, I prefer vanilla wholesome romance, but for people like Bubs, I'll gladly embrace my inner monster and go full NTR antagonist.

Lame is pretty appropriate, it's a pretty good definition of Bubs' contributions.

, they will dodge or block the punch, and Leofric will congratulate the champion and say that the champion is the one Leofric was sent to face, but for now, the battle will not happen. So he's clear on the list.

NO. This bitchass coward is not clear on any kind of list. The original event was him appearing out of nowhere, attacking Champ from behind, and then insulting the unconscious Champ. Which then got retold by Jen, while she was zealously glazing and gushing over Leofric.
There were no stat checks or any kind of variations. No matter how strong your Champ was, or what bosses they defeated, there was no option to stop Leofric from knocking out Champ in a single punch.
You didn't even get to see or hear that dude, he just one-hit K.O.'d you from behind, insulted you, and that's it. He never appeared or got mentioned ever again.
This remained unchanged for years. I don't know who, but someone complained about it persistently enough that they went and changed that encounter.

Probably because Tobs was still busy laying out the trap of Kiyoko being this super loyal kitsune wife. But then he went and wrote that hobgoblin scene where Kiyoko was getting fucked/raped by hobgoblins alongside Brienne.
No idea what goes on in the head of that man.

Reminder, she's been in the game for almost 7 years. Basically, from the very beginning. Lol.
It's an actual miracle Eryka got an expansion. No other early (2018-2019) character got any updates like that*. Lusina, Lusamine, Sugo, Ninian, Sariel, Shar, entire Pupperidge Farm, etc, etc. None of them will ever get updated.

Edit: *Giant asterisk. I forgot about Cat Harem and Hirrud. But they are a pretty unique case of hatred towards players backfiring and turning into actually good content for once.

Like a lot of things in CoC or TiTs, the framework for some amazing story telling is there; But the people handling the work are the most boring, mid, uninteresting, and uninspired group of people there are. Shit dude, if they focused half as much effort in the sex scenes they do the story they would actually have something really good going on.

There is really something admirable about being so dedicated to laziness that you would think to tell people about all the amazing shit that exists in world... but then never implement any of it. It really showcases ineptitude to tell your audience that greater things could happen, but they never will because you can't be bothered, thus generating resentment towards you for even bringing it up in the first place. Very Modern-day GRRM-esque, nice.
