That was Wsan's method. For every dom/domme he'd put in the game, he'd add a submissive character. It's why he was a fan favorite for so long, the dude put effort into everything and didn't mind making stuff the audience wanted. I think it kept him sane, because he's more or less been focusing on his futa-domme fascination and it's starting to affect his quality.
That's what happened with Saruman, he dwelled far too long into the dark arts of the enemy (not sure if Saruman was into elf/orc chicks with dick too, maybe)
Lowkey starting to regret I did in my latest playthrough tbh. Dude literally serves no useful purpose in the party, his randomly proccing scenes are straight up annoying and such writing as he now has is pretty terrible even by this game's standards.
TIL that the Monster Girl Encyclopedia (at least that's what I'm assuming MGE stands for" attempts to do worldbuilding outside of just being a horny monster manual. Which sounds terrible, to be frank. That's just asking for all sorts of questions like "how does anything get done when the monster girls are fucking men constantly?" Or "oh god this is just a massive pile of the worst kinds of anime trash, why are you trying to justify all the weird shit?"

The worldbuilding is good when the setting doesn't try to pretend to be something it isn't. The problem is that the author himself puts a lot of effort into that pretense.
MGE is about hot monster girls commiting reverse rape until Stockholm Syndrome kicks in, leading to a Bad End masquerading as Happily Ever After. The setting stays cohesive and interesting whenever it keeps that concept as its kinky guiding star
in one ending the ntr guy basically does that, takes the mc under his wing and the two of them wear the same hat and sunglasses while fucking girls together, and that's their life
I remember when Fenoxo and Savin were obsessed with cum showers, deep throat, anal, witches/demons, corrupting virgins, impregnation, hyper and of course milking, 'gameover rape' and soft furry
I don't know what the fuck their fetishes are anymore, but it always seem to drift towards subversive "beta cuck" NTR stereotypes these days. Especially on a meta level. They're actively going to change how *your favorite* character looks or acts because it makes the player 'feel like something is stolen from him'. They got hard when YOU feel disappointed or when your favorite waifu gets remade into a cheating bitch.
Schrodinger's Minotaur. Now matter how tall or hung or literal mythical bull monster like the player is, Brint is always bigger unless observed. He's like Gaston but he eats an extra dozen eggs a day.
I feel irrationally angry reading that because it's so accurate. And there are even good isekai they could've drawn inspiration from tropes from. Not manhwa though. I can't believe I'm saying this but tobs should've gatekept the kitsune harder and spared us from that dumb drunk kitsune.
I actually am beginning to think they write these scenes assuming the champion is a submissive femboy or gender ambiguous herm.
It may just be personal preference but I feel Wsan's futadomme content is still better than savin's and others.
I love how your list leaves out Quin like it's just assumed no one has any reason to recruit him.
Also I hate the dull phoenix got in and not MAUS even if I have to assume we'd have something to complain about still if she did.
Your cat girl harem singing about how no one nuts like Gaston Brint, ten gallons gallons of milk as Gaston Brint, his cock as big as a log!, while you sip warm beer and eat doritos in abject apathy

There the demons/monster girls are aware that raping people to death is somewhat bad, some of them care, and do it anyway because they were created for that, others don't care at all and enjoy it the trill of the hunt, yet there's no pretense this is nice and good, the world is over, is done for
Oh, fucking finally. SOMEONE understands that MGs in Shrift are mostly evil bitches, and that the world is going through a bad ending.
I swear, average Shrift fan is even more of a cuck than Savin. They constantly bemoan humans because "How dare those bigot racist humans fight back! Awesome and beautiful monster girls just want to kill all humans and eat their souls, is it so much to ask for!?". I fucking hate how they make a moral grandstand while trying to justify a literal genocide.
For all the flaws MGE's worldbuilding has, at least in there humans get transformed into monsters, instead of being pigs for slaughter.

lol for real?, they pretty much tell you since the beginning that they are dangerous monsters, and even those that don't wanna hurt you will hurt you, because demons are incompatible to human life
Is a weird thing to believe that they only need love, even in the pacifist route you fight them constantly

Happened multiple times, across different forums. In one of those I got compared to Hitler several times, for quoting the ingame lines(!!!) about demons being the ones invading human world* and cleansing all human life from territories they managed to occupy.
Self-righteous conviction is one hell of a drug, I guess. *Because most monsters in Shrift are actual demons who come from actual hell. With only a couple of exceptions.
But anyways, we're getting offtopic. "entertaining your guests while you’re away" - this line from the latest update post got me on guard. There's no evidence that this is what the SKoW's "doing a different quest" was referring to, but I'm already prepared for the worst.
Its Skow, you could throw a dart while blindfolded and would probably hit some sort of new npc only sex scene where you can only watch or have the sloppy n+1's as an alternative. Their track record really tells us what we can expect.
Most of that is if you apply normal people logic.
The two games where the woman transforms into a demon also don't do it any favor. Tickles the morbid part of my brain. But you hear about the couple from the second game and it seemed like they worked out so I guess it's still consistent.
Knowing the purpose of the setting "a place where everybody eventually finds their soulmate," I'll suspend more than the usual amount of disbelief and stop asking questions. Clumsy the execution ultimately is, it's hard for me to want to throw tomatoes at a world somebody earnestly created where even the biggest loser finds true(coughdon'tthinkaboutit) love.
I mean it's crazy I ultimately like the setting. It's creative.
I like the idea there's a setting where a guy can go on a hero's journey to slay the dragon, achieve victory, and get a dragon wife. That's neat. Or an explorer stumbles into an ancient pyramid and gets a kingdom of wives, servants, and soldiers...
... after vigorous "convincingstopthinking"
And KC clearly tries to put out fires the second he's confronted with logical conundrums.
But man you can
Well you have to remember the Author isn't trying to evoke Dark Fantasy or even use violence to a certain degrees. Bro is straight ahh dude with a straight ahh fantasy, I can get behind that. I'd like it to be clean and like u said u really got to turn down the neuron activity to roll with it just like CoC n TiTs.
I see the bland harem protagonist in the same way I see the overpowered korean manhwa protagonist, in the sense I care for neither and make Savin and Tobs look like better writers, because at least they try, and sure, every character is fetish fuel but there's an attempt at something original
Hard disagree, the bland protagonist is a staple because you can turn him around using your themes and the nature of work. Shinji from Evangelion is bland harem protag material but because Hideaki Anno isn't writing harem scholp he gets put to different use, Renten from Eureka Seven is built to have that energy but again it what the writers does with the character.
don't know why half of the companions like the champion enough to tag around, with Etheryn I get it, Kiyoko too to a certain degree because then she does have a bunch of kits and I'm not feeling like taking her with me or why she would want to go with me, because being den mother is her thing. Wasp girl is just a bad point in general, Cait has no reason to stay after building her temple, she may like you, but she likes everyone else too, old bird woman thinks you're interesting?, welp she got that going on, Atugia... Yeah, same as Viv. Arona likes you and she's an orc. Brienne was cursed with endless libido for you, Brint was blessed with endless libido for everyone. I think I got them all, and yeah, like half of them are there for inertia
I've been playing Look Outside and the way in which it does party members are the most non-interference way I've seen party members executed since Fear and Hunger. This is how you do party members if you can't do it the Fallout New Vegas way I feel.
They don't comment or even intervene on the events happening in the game world but they are a result of what happened and they have companion moments at the home base.
Another series I think does companions well are those from the Tales series, where upon get companion moments out in the world that develop them outside standard cutscenes.
For all the hatred Urta ever got... this crew is something else. I feel there's more examples rattling in my brain, but I genuinely stopped caring for more than half of the companions and definitely more than two thirds of the NPCs because of what they turned into. So I would really have to dig in there to get it.
Urta was really only villainized due to a community perceived slight in handling donation funds, how long Fen spent on that quest, and her "threesome setup" with Amily is just being you getting cucked by Urta and walking in on them raw dogging. The entire thing was obviously a bad idea to literally everybody but Fen and the writer whose names eludes me right now .
Urta herself wasn't like some shining beacon of morality or perseverance. She was a drunk who sometimes made bad decisions with a loada character flaws. I never really disliked her probably because of those flaws.

I liked more what he did in Gunbuster, could never get into Evangelion because of how Shinji is comically neglected, like, what's the deal with his dad?, how the fuck do you grow up to be like that?, but at least there are fun parts and cute girls, and robots, corpse robots
Can't lure me into a sense of comfort. I view the game with all the same fascination of the daily police car chase. They have no power here.
Dude me too

Every update is an adventure, is like one of those tests with electric shocks, you know it's gonna happen, you know they are about to do something nasty because they can't help themselves and their patreons are totally into it
Shrift's mc is just build different, besides being the lone surviving guy in a hell of earth scenario, he was also in love

I and, I think, most people just tell him to piss off when he appears since everyone either hates the character or hates bubble's weird need to make random mandatory scenes to fellate his OCs. Or both.
I'm expecting another Liaden or wasp quest where there's a decent reward but we're "encouraged" to give it to them for tagging along or because some weird rule dictates only one of those two can use it. Seems on brand at this point.
A game that tried to be Porn Undertale. But failed because it missed Undertale's point.
For example:
Undertale's monsters were "monsters" in name only. And harmful prejudice was one of the main plot points. Asking player a question of "Maybe monsters and humans aren't so different, after all?"
Meanwhile in Shrift monsters are actually evil and do actually kill people for fun and sadistic pleasure. And before you ask - No, they don't need to eat/kill humans to survive, they just like doing it. While the overarching narrative is doing the whole "humans are the villains actually, because they dare to resist instead of letting themselves get killed".
They aren't dumb animals. They all have consciousness and can think for themselves. What you're doing here is infantilizing them while simultaneously absolving them of the consequences of their actions. Shit like this doesn't fly by me. I completely disagree with you on this whole point.
Also, I didn't say all of them are evil. I said Most of them. My beloved wife Echo is the undisputed best girl, and she factually had done nothing wrong.
