The mc sleeps with everyone that he can and wants to, nothing wrong with other characters doing the same, it's just that kind of game, all of these fenoxo games are. This game however, is the only one that gives of these cuck vibes in so much of their content. Everything has to be about a bull or some sub and dom shit, 2 ocs that fuck each other and its written like they had their best life changing orgasm they could ever have. I mean it makes sense i guess, the mc is some blank state and they refuse to give him at least some baseline of character they can all stick to, like Tits did, which is much much better in that regard. Their precious oc however, has to have it all, how would they be able to live out their fantasy trough them otherwise anyway? and don't get me started about all these commissioned fucking characters, urgh.
All of this brings me to my hate ofthe most boring character to ever exist Liaden and her relationship to Azzy. She shows up one day, helps out a bit and our favorite little hornet falls in love, ok, no matter, why not? poly is fat on the menu in this game but almost immediately she's now the most important thing to ever happen to her. Every scene with the 2 of them was about how great they are together and much they love each other and even if it isn't clearly written, the flavor of it all speaks for itself, the mc is in the way and whoever does the writing really only cares about the two of them. Even if you're in a relationship with both of them, there just isn't the same kind of passion involved. It used to be much worse, until they changed it but it still sucks. I still remember when you finished the high ground quest or whatever it was called, and you let the wet peace of paper Liaden have the sword, Azzy was so happy about it but when you finish this quest for yourself? there was nothing. That scene burned itself into my mind and left a stain on Azzy that makes me just not care for here anymore ever since. Now that we can remove her from the game, all is good yeah? not really.
It's like when a game has a NTR route and you have the choice of intervening or letting it happen, which means this character would always do the cheating/betraying or whatever unless you go out of your way to stop it. Similar logic applies here.
This might not all make much sense, feels a bit silly to read, but this is a problem with lots of content in this game. I'm not saying the mc has to be the most important and loved character all the time, really not, but you also don't have to make me feel like the a third wheel so much yeah? how dare i try to go in-between these precious characters. I can't say i actually care that much about the 2 of them as characters, it's just that this particular situation and how it plays out in the game, irks me a bit more than it should.
And while im still bitching we should have gotten the option to make Gweyr ours by keeping her away from Hawkethorne for all the shit she did or fucking corrupt her and show her off to all of them, this dysfunctional family is better of without each other anways.
Edit: I think many of the writer just want to write their on oc's or take on commissions and don't care really care much about the game. Nobody would care about them though otherwise so they begrudgingly have to live with this decision.
