This game is good to bad it is a kinetic novel, and it could have been so much better.
Not to call you out in particular, as I see this sentiment shockingly often.

People who think this way, do you read a novel and then complain it wasn't written as one of those Choose Your Own Adventure stories? Do you watch a film and wish for intermittent halts in the action to make a choice yourself?

This work is not a game and is not analogous to a game. It is most like a print novel, published first as a serial. The author has composed a linear story and shared it for interested people to read.

Here, consequential reader decisions would be nothing but a dilution. We're experiencing events in a group of characters' lives, as we do in a novel, a manga, or even a movie. The choice you make as a reader is simply whether to continue.

I'm grateful that we don't have to contend with false choices or shallow branching storylines in Cosy Cafe. There's a pure vision at work here, and every bit of effort poured into the story benefits every person who chooses to read.

Tried to load my save and got the error page where I can "Rollback" or "Ignore". Are the saves not compatible?
No.

Some people have reported that they work, but officially, No.

Thankfully, you can just pick up where you left off anyway with a fresh 'start' at day 26.

Hey question, for this game does a platonic playthrough end up as scuffed as it is in Eternum? Does the story and feel hold up without any of the romances, or does it feel like you just lose a huge chunk of de facto main content?

There aren't really any (significant) choices in this one, so all playthroughs end up the same.

I did notice something odd about ages that wasn't Annabelle.

Elizabeth Russell is listed as 20. Yet Alison notes that they're kinda friends and have been acquainted for awhile. Alison is 27. That seems an implausible spread. I would've pegged Elizabeth as closer to her age, maybe 25 at least.

Well, I would say considering the fact they are all the Founding Families there would be a lot of socializing among each other and being that they are all supposedly rich = most likely snobby, would encourage the younger gen to socialize within the families. We are not talking about normal poor people we all are (mostly / probably) so it is not or would not be strange to find age gaps in this environment.

Yeah, the photo gallery is very buggy at the moment. I'm gonna put out a fixed version in the next week or so.
If you can, take a look at the transitions for the end of the day till the new day for days 0 to 6. Not sure why but on the pc version of 0.11 when starting the game again from scratch I met a lot of exception errors that I had to ignore to progress through the story.

Agreed.

That they know each other and spent time together isn't much of a surprise, both being the 'first daughter' of a founding family.

7 years does seem a bit of a stretch however, especially as Alison has been effectively 'exiled' for over a year.

What do you mean "platonic playthrough?" It's a kinetic novel, my man. The story is entirely linear and predetermined. Every playthrough will be the exact same.

Nice update, something i noticed though, since when do all the girls use the same purple eye liner? Has that always been a thing? I don't remember it... why not mix it up with other colors?

From Cosy, apparently this is part of the shader packages he is using in HS2 and has been there since close to the beginning. He looked at upgrading the shader/removing the "purple eyeliner" effect and thought everyone looked very different after that. So, now its just part of the style (and makes it harder for people to emulate).

You can also see it sometimes on white clothes near dark or shadow.

So I've just fast-forwarded through the game and struck by some observations.

1. Fast-forwarding through the spankings always cracks me up. It sounds like machine-gun fire, or fireworks going off.
2. Most attractive girls (for me) - Harriet, Elizabeth, Samantha (Misaki a near miss)
3. Hottest girls - Akari (by a landslide), Vicky, Akatsuki
4. 'Best girls' - Sarah, Lucy, Alison
5. Coolest character - Danny. Love his style!
6. Best moment - weirdly, when MC notices that Sarah turned up to support him at the meeting. That was just pure awesome. Sarah showing she was all-in, no 'favors', no 'idiots', no having to get her to admit it. Just "I got you".
7. Some of the neatest things - Sarah's blushes, Hannah going hot-and-cold and her whirling emotions, Akatsuki cutting through BS, Catherine's determination.

Everyone's mileage may vary, but those are just some of mine.
